One person wasn’t on your thank you list - you! Thank YOU Richie! Yes, a RU-vid channel isn’t the most important thing in the world but it can have a big impact on people’s lives. A chance conversation sent me to your CTTE video 5 years ago and, while I was processing a huge loss in my life, your wonderful blend of great music and silliness lifted me. You made my daughters love prog. Ann Marie inspired them to understand that prog and metal is absolutely a woman’s world too. You gave us a live community when we were locked down. The hard work that goes into all that is mind blowing. So thank YOU Richie and to everyone who has worked with you for bringing all this joy to us!
Artist creativity, musicianship, attention to detail, dedication and commitment. You guys are bringing it all together. And now touring with Jon Anderson doing EPIC & Classic YES. Dreams to come true! Wonderful!
Emily Nachio? Heaven and Hell! You Oughta' Know!!? Congrats on 100k! I have thoroughly enjoyed many of your projects on this channel. Some of my favorites have been watching you (and Andy) being a one/two man band, and recording full songs on stream/video.
Howdy Hippylong/good to see you here! Me too....I have 60 videos of Richie and TheBandGeeks on a mix for work, that I listen to and share with everybody.
I've only been a subscriber for a few years. So glad that I found this channel. Congrats, and I can't wait to see what Richie and his crew have in store for the future.
Its not about the number of subs but the engagement with the content. I am subscribed to channels I have not visited in over a year. There is not a single video of yours that I have not watched fully. Great job on growing the channel with quality content. It's a marathon, not a sprint.
You’re the best Richie! Thank you for entertaining us over the years and thank you for injecting youth and energy to my favorite band BÖC! You are very gracious to us fans when we see you play live! Thanks again!
Dude... 100k is a remarkable milestone, you should be proud of that... Your band is phenomenal... And I'm stoked as can be to see you guys with the great legendary Jon Anderson in south Jersey at the end of this month at the Scottish Rite Auditorium! Keep up the incredible work bro! God bless! John 👍♥️😎
Congratulations. I am a 65 year old rocker and enjoy the work you and your team have done. I try to so similar type work and yes it is a big task from developing the music into a song and video clips into a storyline that fits the audio. Kudos for doing it all first class.
Rich, Thank you do much for bringing the voice of God back to us again. Killer show last night in N.J. You guys made us feel 17 again and sent me to heaven during Awaken.
Congratulations, Richie - You and the Band Geeks are totally a classy, fun, talented crew! I am not only entertained, I learn much. BTW, during lockdown you, Lee Sklar, and Rick Beato were my sanity. Please continue your great work!
I've only been here for a few years, but it's been a great time! Your skill and talent are exceeded only by your joy and enthusiasm for what you're doing. Keep up the fantastic work, and thank you for the hundreds of hours of entertainment! P.S. PLEASE consider What About Love and Hysteria!
Congrats Richie and the Band Geek family! 🎉 It’s been a wild ride over the years, and I wouldn’t have missed it for the world! Love & respect, always… 🤗
Congrats Richie! I’ve followed you and your cohorts for a few years now and have enjoyed every post you’ve made. You’re a great talent as is your seemingly unending list of accomplished friends. Glad I caught you with BÖC a couple years ago to see you play live. Keep up the great work.
Congratulations! You, Anne Marie, Andy, and your friends are so talented, man. I'm routinely knocked out by your work. Not only is it technically excellent, there is great energy. Thanks!
Well done all. Speaking as an old person, I appreciate the obvious time commitment to breathe fresh life into my favourite prog rock music. You're all such excellent musicians. Best wishes for the Jon Anderson tour and future endeavours.
I luv this channel! I’ve been playing Bass for 50 years and still play with most of my high school and college friends from the 70’s and 80’s ! It’s refreshing to see a group of friends playing excellent covers and be decent humans. You all got into this for friendship and the love of music and not drugs and drink. May you reach a million subscribers 😅. I’ll be there for the ride!
Thanks for this video. I feel like I just took a walk down memory lane with you. I've been there since the beginning as you know! Many hours of incredible music and mayhem!
Congrats on 100k subs, Richie. Well deserved. I look forward to each and every video. You have drawn me to some amazing musicians I never would have heard of otherwise. Continued success, my friend.
Every new video you do I end up touting to my musician friends. Your collection of friends has to be the best group of cover artists in the world. Amazing work. Plus an incredibly informative set of technical videos explaining what you do and how you do it. I've learned a lot from you. I have my tickets - I'll see you in Baltimore in May.
Thank you Richie and the gang for everything you have put up there for us to enjoy but in particular for saving us all from going crazy during the lack of live music during the pandemic, you guys may never quite know the difference you have made to so many people in such a positive way, you certainly helped me personally immensely. 🤘
I love your channel, Richie. You're an amazing musician, a really great guy, you have an epic band with the Band Geek crew plus you've given one of my all-time favorite bands-BOC-a ton more life. I'm proud to be a fan.
Long Live Band Geeks! Ritchie I cant really put into words what this chanel means to me. You are all beyond talented artists, and i enjoy every vidieo you put out. I come from Monroe NY growing up listening to rock and going to places to watch bands do covers of great groups. I am now 68 and still love listening and feeling music. I know its not easy to pull all of what it takes to make these sessions come together and it takes more than a band to make music. So a heartfelt Thank you to everyone who is involved in the entire process.
Congrats! And a thousand Thanks for all the cool music you guys have put out here. The Band Geeks are a staple in my Life now. Being a drummer/singer myself watching Andy and you do all this is just wonderful. Thank You!
❤ I've always loved Yes. I got to see them live with Risk Wakeman. You've set a a really high bar for yourself.... and you've definitely cleared it. Keep Rockin Brother MLLH&R
Hey, I found you on RU-vid and absolutely love your music. Your covers are seriously kick ass. Please keep putting content out there, it brings joy and happiness into a world for some people like myself who sometimes just need that to get by.
Congratulations to you and all those involved. I absolutely love the Band Geek stuff. Only been watching for 5 years or so but it's so energetic, fun and just an enjoyable celebration of good music.
I have tickets for the Band Greeks / John Anderson tour in Buffalo....please tell me Ann Marie will be coming along...hearing you, Ann Marie, and John singing together would be something I would remember the rest of my life....
Richie, I love everything you post. Such great talent from you and your friends and family. As a guitar geek, I appreciate the explanations of how everything was recorded, the gear used, etc. Hope to meet you one day.
Some superb covers over the years guys. My faves were The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway by Genesis, and Close To The Edge By Yes. Would love to see you guys do more 70s Genesis like Supper's Ready, Firth of Fifth or Dance On A Volcano. Well done again.
I think I am somewhere around subscriber number 500. Seen every video at least ten times--some much more. Huge Band Geeks fan here. Shared your channel with everyone I know. My favorite video is the fantasy band draft doing Summer Nights. Close second is Never Going to Let You Go.
You're super-talented, as are your bandmates, and it's fun to watch what you guys do. Wish I could see you guys play live, but RU-vid will have to do. KEEP IT UP!
Bring the Jon Anderson tour up to NH.....maybe the Tupelo, Hampton Beach Casino, Blue Ocean Music Hall, Concord Center for the Arts? Congrats on the 100K subscribers!
Richie...You are the freaking bomb! One of the most talented individuals I've ever experienced...period. You are too humble my friend. Im 60 plus and completely love everything you do. I too come from a musical family and know what Im saying. I am so glad you share yourself, and your family of friends with us!!! Please keep it coming...God Bless
New to your channel and it’s really great! The stuff you put out about line6 and band geek are awesome. It would be great to see you and BÖC in Sweden 🎸
Not sure you mentioned the guitar manufacturers but it has been a very interactive channel … I miss the “where’s the f%*#ing beat” episodes … you and those around you are so humble and genuine … that’s what resonates with those who are drawn to the content and the commentary … lastly, thank you for sharing with others and allowing us to be a part of it … up the irons !!! 😎
Hi Richie, interesting back story to your video channel and how you got started. I've been following you for some time now and particularly enjoyed your Yes covers. I hope we get to see some of the stuff you will be doing with Jon Anderson. Would love to see you come to Australia.
Richie you're the best, been enjoying your channel and the Band Geeks for years...and of course your presence in the greatest American band, the Amazing Blue Oyster Cult! Must mention my personal favorite, Death Alley Driver...best wishes in the JA tour, see you soon OTF and best wishes for 2023.
Love all your Band Geeks videos, especially the Yes songs. Will you be posting music from your tour with Jon Anderson & the Band Geeks? I hope you can add some tour dates in Texas or elsewhere in the south.
Richie , love the channel ! Some of My favorite videos I've ever seen are those videos of you guys and Vin playing encore in your old yellow basement . Absolutely loved those as they so much remind me of my past band rehearsals . also Jarret playing that whistle thing on all the sax parts , so cool man , I laughed and laughed at that ,and it sounded great lol . Thank you everyone at band geek ! love you guys .
Your channel absolutely deserves all that love and more, Richie! You and Band Geeks has been a refreshingly clever musical think tank keeping great music alive. Wish you were able to bring the tour with Jon Anderson to the west coast.
Came for the Line 6 gear knowledge…stayed for the killer music! Thanks for helping me dive into Variax & Helix…you still have the best Variax demo around!! See you on tour!
Thanks for spewing, Richie! 100K is a monster achievement! As viewers/subscribers, we sometimes don't realize the time that was spent recording, learning, scheduling, editing, and producing! Not to mention programming your insane automated rig that handles the lights, fog machine, guitar, effects, and amps! Congrats on 100K! This channel is a slingshot pointing at the moon, brother!
Congrats to you and the Band Geek gang. I recently discovered your channels and have been binge watching everything I could get my hands on. You all are extremely talented and are a joy to watch. Keep it going and good luck on the tour!
Good things happen to good people. I've always been a fan because of your talent. After meeting you after The Villages concert, I'm a bigger fan because you were a genuinely nice person. Your videos have helped me as a gigging bassist as well.
