Just subbed after searching for an Ecco video, finding, and watching yours! Never played it when I was a kid in the 90s, but I remember seeing the case at a friends house (we had a symbiotic arrangement with him being a segaboi and I a Nintendo..chap). Back then I often wondered why he had some kinda Lisa Frank game and no sisters, but I suppose I never asked. I forgot all about it for decades, however, and then recently rediscovered it when turning an RPi into a retro console. Once I started playing, I very quickly realized that there’s way more /depth/ to Ecco than I ever assumed. I can’t help but wonder if Lisa ever played it and what her thoughts may be. Also, imagine a Lisa Frank and H.R. Giger collab… that would be truly horrifying. I digress. Anyway, that was a great video! I’ve watched some of your others now and I really like your content so far. Thoroughly looking forward to see what else you produce. Congrats on hitting 1k! Looks like you’ve gained an additional 230+ new subs since just yesterday - noice! Hope the momentum keeps up for ya. 🤙🏼

Thank you so much for your support, really means a lot to see so many people getting behind the channel! I was a Sega *and* Nintendo boi, so there are videos from both sides to come. I had to google Lisa Frank, not sure if it's a thing in the UK, but I totally see what you mean 😆 Ecco looks relatively cute at face value but there are darker things under the surface. I'll keep holding out for the Lisa Frank x Alien crossover!

@@AMPlayem indeed it may have just been a U.S. thing, but as a kid in the 90s almost everybody in school had a “trapper keeper,” a specific brand of clip binder which was often covered in surrealist 3D art and often targeted boys. At some point, Lisa Frank’s almost excessively colorful surreal dolphin art was used on the girls’ answer to trapper keepers, and they were similarly everywhere. Totally thought my friend had a game inspired by the art on those binders 😅 And of course my friend! Keep up the great work!

Congratulations sir! It's great to see the channel doing so well! Best of luck with the Ecco sequels, I had Tides of Time on the Megadrive as a kid and loved it / hated it in equal measure. I think I got stuck at the Tube of Medusa level and never did crack it. It's another game where the soundtrack to the early levels is etched in my memory as well. I forget the birthdays of friends and family members (when's yours again??) but I'll remember that music forever!
