The best part of a year on and I’m watching this again. Still so sad to think that Bill is no longer with us. I’m glad though that his channel lives on as knowledge base for new anglers.
I found Bills channel a few weeks back, looking to starting fishing again after 25+ years. Bills channel gave me the drive to get off my ass and do it. I saw Bills last video a few days ago after watching ALL his others, it bought a tear to my eyes. Bill's content is down to earth no thrills or spills. Such a wonderful bloke, who I had so much time for. I hope he's ok. What a top bloke and a class Angler!
Thanks Bill for showing me that it is not odd to want to fish small brooks and rivers, and showing us all the love you had for our sport. I am sad that I never got to know you sooner.
Nice tribute. I read Bill passed away in March. Great You Tuber producing really good content without the fancy graphics as you say. So many angling You Tube channels paid tribute to him but Jon Arthur’s video was really heartfelt too. Thanks for posting yours.
You are more than welcome. Hope you are all doing o.k. My thoughts are with you and the family. You can see by the amount of stuff on RU-vid at the moment we all think Bill is a legend 👍
Only found bills channel a few weeks back watch a few then came across his last post wow it really tugged on my heartstrings and really reminded me of fishing with my late dad . Rip Bill 🙏 And big respect to this channel for posting this 👏 you've just got a new sub
Thank you for your acknowledgment, a great gesture and shows what the angling community can be. Bill’s last video was gut-wrenching to watch and he will be greatly missed.
Amazing thing about the internet, his videos will extend beyond this generation and his legacy will live on through them, made his videos so easy to watch and the simplicity could entice anyone to take up the hobby , respect for making this video, tight lines
I loved Bills videos greatly also. I congratulate you for this heartfelt video which must reflect the feelings of many of us. Thank You. Bill got me back into coarse fishing in a simple way once again after I had fly fished exclusively for many years and realised, through him, what I had missed. It is indeed very sad to reflect on a fellow angler no longer able to take part. Let us al do it for him and those like him.
Only found Bill's channel over this weekend. Watched a few of his sea fishing videos, as we've just moved down to Cornwall, and his tips and advice were superb refreshers for me. I then found his last video, and like you, it broke my heart. Thank you for this video, and sending love, thoughts and prayers to Bill and his family. 🤍
I found Bill’s channel when I returned to course fishing after a 30 year break. I’ve learnt so much from his no nonsense videos and was so upset to discover how ill he is. God bless Bill and let’s hope his channel stays up so new and returning anglers can also benefit like I did.
Have asked other RU-vids to put more out for Bill I loved watching his channel, but would love for Jamie & Andy may to do something for him as he loved watching them on winning ways 👍💕
saddened to hear of Bills poor health, i subscribed to his channel a while ago and have been watching em ever since, the new ones and catching up with the old ones. he was always informative without being boring or technical...and could have been the guy you sit next to on the bank and just chat easily with...i recently watched his wormery vids and am in the process of getting the bits, (a Fuchsia Pink one like he had would be a fitting tribute) he couldnt get black .lol... i wish you all the best Bill, you have entertained and educated more than you know (and i am 60 myself)
I found John Arthur’s video, informing us all of Bill’s sad news, so touching. I can’t bring myself to watch Bill’s last fishing video, as I followed and watched him for many years, and would find it too upsetting. Bill is a true, passionate angler, with his no nonsense, none commercial interest way of partaking in the sport he loves. Will never forget dear old Bill. Maybe some of the other RU-vid anglers, like Danny Fairbrass, Ali Hamidi, Kevin Nash etc etc, could do better than to take a page out of Bill’s book, and actually do angling videos for the love of the sport - rather than just financial gain from selling unnecessary, over-hyped, over priced tackle! 🎣Stay true Bill🎣
Bill the Legend peter drennan should name a rod in his honor lovely man bill so sad he loved drennan tackle,JON ARTHUR has made a tribute video for BILL It's awesome It's called A CHUB FOR BILL check it out on his JON ARTHUR RU-vid channel, para
