Congratulations on starting your knitting podcast, and thank you very much for sharing not only your knitting successes but also your disappointments! That feels so familiar: Even though I have a lot of knitting experience, many of my projects still don't turn out as I expected and I often end up re-doing large parts of a project because I want it to be perfect. A suggestion for fixing the slanted neck border on your "Not a Sweatshirt Sweater": You mention that the row where you knit the cast-on border together with the body part is very visible, since it's too loose in many places. You could cut the yarn in this row (at the back of the neck, I'd suggest). and stitch by stitch, pull the yarn out of the stitches in the row "below" (i.e. below when looking from the neck down to the body of the sweater, so you're picking up stitches from the stockinette body of the sweater, not from the neckband). And for each stitch, as you pull out the yarn, pick up the stitch on a circular needle. It's important to do this in the stockinette part (i.e. body of the sweater), not in the ribbing. You end up with the body stitches on your circular needle, and since it's stockinette, it will look almost like you knitted the sweater from the bottom up. Now you can just start from there and knit a new neckband (from the bottom up), fold it over, and stitch it down correctly. If you still have enough yarn left over, I would knit the neckband from fresh yarn, as the mohair isn't as nice anymore when it has been frogged, esp. when frogged from ribbing. Also, while most patterns would instruct you to bind off the neckband and then stitch it down, you don't have to do the bind-off, you can stitch down the open loops. This gives a more elastic finish, and also feels softer around the neck.

Thank you for taking the time to explain this process in such detail! One of my favorite aspects of knitting is the camaraderie and problem-solving between knitters …. and having 'problem knits' is a great way to kick-start the knowledge sharing! I will have to see if I can dig out my scraps from this project now!

Ok for the "INASS" could you put waste yarn into the very top, a couple of stitches below where the neckline rib ends, then undo the knitted down edge and unravel the ribbing all the way to the stockinette, then pick up the stitches from the waste yarn and K1P1 for as many rows up as you want...? Keep us posted!

I was really struggling to wrap my mind around how to undo an integrated folded collar on a sweater that was knit from the top down, I honestly hadn't even considered just putting in a lifeline and chopping off the top.... I am still leaning towards disassembling the whole sweater and starting over, but my curiosity about sweater surgery is definitely piqued. Thank you so much for your comment and support!

OMG well karma hit me back because people said i say "skein wrong" so you know what, let's just say whatever we want lol. If you're wanting to use those yarns together i dont think you're gonna struggle that much to unravel tbh, and id suggest a v neck cardigan, to tolerate the mohair better ! I hate fishermans wool lol, i dubbed it the worst yarn in the world, funny how polarising it is. Girl I loved your podcast, you were so funny and relatable, I am hooked, please don't stop !! Will be following your career with great interest

I can't tell you how much your comment means to me, thank you! I think a v-neck cardigan is a great idea, I think the color of the yarns would lend really well to a layering piece. Its also such a relief to hear you aren't fond of fisherman's wool -- i honestly think Lion brand must hate fishermen. I'm always looking forward to your next videos, your knitting and your organization is enviable!
