I love that they asked him to talk about the cast, probably expecting him to give a generic “oh, the cast is great” statement or to focus on Patrick Dempsey alone, but Eli chose to say something sweet and complimentary about damn near every person in the movie. Class act.
Saw the movie yesterday and it is one of Eli Roth's best movies along with Cabin Fever, Hostel, Green Inferno and The House with a Clock in its Walls. Those are all my favourites he has made and I love the SCREAM vibes in the movie. Eli Roth has deffo gone back to his roots with Thanksgiving.
i'm watching this now, and the dread right before the black friday (on thurs night) store riot at the start was awesome. felt like it was really happening to you watching it. i think mostly since that's a VERY believable in the current state of america to actually happen scene (in the past too, but i'd think more likely now). the violence was well lower than i figured it would be, nothing outlandish, but that doesn't make it any less scary, everything that happened in it could very well happen in real life here. i was the whole time like "would anybody really actually enter the store, and stay there during that right before the doors were opened" and i came back with "sure, people might THINK something really scary was about to happen, but just let it happen anyway without running away, at least for a lot of people"
The killer should be a mystery like Michael myers it keeps the movie thrilling and suspenseful you don’t know why is going around killing people next movie don’t reveal who the killer is
I’ll be honest I really did love the movie I loved it all the way around but I did get some hints from the characters in the beginning to end and it all came together now spoiler work alerts I got a deep feeling that the wife was not gonna run off with a pilgrim police officer the detailing I got because you got a remember he’s single Wright always single I wonder why I think she found out stuff about him that she was not down for maybe she snuck into the area where the photos were including hers and then she had gotten pregnant and showed him and then when she went to she saw all the photos that he had to be involved with probably from another city now I don’t get the feeling that the officer was originally even from there so now I have all this in my mind that I know she would’ve not left him because you said she went to go give food to her husband at right market for a type of apology because she never told him what she did and as she explain to Officer Eric is a really Innoway hope you find someone for you see let that sit in if she had survived the plot in the first place and things happened at Wright Mart what was his reaction had been then if she survived it and didn’t go what kind of person you think that she would be in that what would turn his mind differently
You see a little gestures of what people do in apologies and pinpoint them throughout movies and then you understand their personalities and things like that and who they are know most people will probably just tell me where the Well the lover wouldn’t have known this until she got with him I mean come on police officer working grueling hours right alone no one to call his own hoping to have children in the future took him years down the road of having them just about pretty much in his 50s now
Too many jump scares. I hate them. I saw the movie. It was just ok but not great. Didn’t care much for the younger cast. I liked the main girl though. She reminded me of an American version of Penelope Cruz. 😂😂
