POWER LOADER UPDATE! PLEASE READ: The project is on hold. We did not "give up" on it, and it's honestly quite insulting when people comment that. The project is an expensive passion project of Bogdan and I's - we said that from the beginning. Megabots literally went bankrupt -- giant robots are not profitable! The reason we stopped doing videos in the summer was because Bogdan was away all summer, training for, and competing at World Skills in Russia. When he got back, we started moving into the new facility, a massive investment on our part, for you guys! So we can make more content and bigger projects (like the powerloader) for you to enjoy. It is a tremendous amount of work (and money) to go from a 1300sqft garage to a 13,000sqft warehouse. I've been working 80+ hours a week since August trying to get it up and running. It's still not done. We're also hiring people, and trying to keep up with content. It's not easy, and it's personally soul crushing reading ignorant comments that say otherwise. The power loader WILL return. When the facility is done. You can help support the channel by continuing to watch our other videos in the meantime -- we're doing our best and we've taken a huge risk on this project, and this new facility. If the channel dies, so do we. Which means no more projects period. Support all our projects or see it all disappear :( Thank you.

I would love to see you put this sword through the same kinds of tests they do on Forged in Fire. A kill test, where you cut into a ballistics gel dummy, preferably in a move similar to one seen in the movie; a strength test, where the blade is beaten against something that should stress the blade (I think hitting the concrete blocks like you did counts); and lastly a sharpness test, to see how much of the edge survived after the previous tests. It looks like most of the attacks were bludgeoning, not cutting, but that could just be my limited experience.

being a martial arts student (and a science geek), i've come to realize that handheld weapons are impractical in actual combat (the ideal attitude is, you need to finish the fight within one second, because you need to expect the whole war will extend forever), as more blood gets sprayed onto the handle (as well as hand sweat), it becomes more slippery over time, not to mention the increasing fatigue in your gripping muscles makes gripping your weapon increasingly impossible. the solution, is to not hold your weapon, but rather to wear it. if a bladesmith can attach machete blades to the outer side of the forearms (the idea is to have left and right forearm blades maybe 50-60% smaller than the size of alex mercer's; pretty much like steve rogers in infinity war, only made sharp), he just ensured the survival of his warrior in close quarter combat.
