As someone who grew up on the original Infinity Gauntlet comics (The Thanos Quest and Infinity Gauntlet mini-series in particular), it saddens me to see what they did with the movie version of the gems, as seen for exemple in this video. Anyone who has only known the movie version will never have the proper appreciation for just how terrifyingly powerful Thanos is when in possession of all six Infinity gems and how quickly and easily this fight here should have ended.

I think that part of the problem is that Saitama's skill set is not very well defined honestly. His feats of strength and durability are absolutely insane, but he has no apparent weaknesses or vulnerabilities. On paper, this makes for a boring super hero because there are no stakes. The show and manga make up for this with Saitama being funny and quirky and basically making fun of super hero stereotypes. Honestly, it seems like Thanos would have been much better off trying to trick Saitama, because he's proven he's not that bright at times, than trying to take him in a straight up fist fight.
