Tbh my childhood dog used to catch rabbits and sometimes even birds and bring them to us unharmed. Boy never had training or anything, just like had good hunting instincts but was so gentle he never hurt the animals.

If its a golden reriever, which are known for soft mouths, it would make sense. They were used to pick up game like ducks to not damage it, so it must be somewhat instincual.

Reasonably, it was symbolic. As she walked away, she was also plummeting into a toxic despair. But one absurd moment knocked her out of it and realized it wasn’t as bad as she thought.

Season 1, Episode 5, the Christmas special with the nun who was allergic to copper. At the end you see a "montage" of what the people do during Christmas and House and Wilson chilling at House's place, eating ordered ramen. And House is actually laughing there without a single bother in a world.

The version of the us 20 bill before the one you have now actually is the same colour as a current 1 dollar bill. Yes in the time it was filmed the newer came out but for filming they use prob money which resembles the older bills.

My headcannon is Masters goes on to become like House (just like everyone else he's trained) but at a much slower pace. She ends up having the most emotional maturity of them all, but at her own pace. She lies, cheats, steals, and dows whatever she can to treat and cure patients, but unlike House, she'll tell the patient she does it because she cares. She becomes the very definition of tough love. And whenever anyone questions her, she always responds, "Nothing is ever simple."

I actually think it makes a lot of sense. It's not that she didnt try everything. She could manipulate to situation, she did it but she couldnt live with it afterwards. I think house would have pushed her if she had called it of before realising she could do it or before doing it. But she went through with it and realised its not something that she could keep on doing. Thats why he gave her the go-ahead in my mind.

masters' arc is so interesting to me. it was probably the first time house actually took a look at the devastating effect he has on people and the way they proceed in medicine. he saw how much he had destroyed her sense of wonder and innocence that he couldn't ask her to consider/force her to stay like he did with chase, 13, taub, etc. he knew the level at which his demands were responsible for changing the way she sees the world. he didn't care for it with the others bc he knew they were people who already had a pretty challenging career and had experience disturbing situations; they fell in house's hands with tough skin developed. not the case with masters. and that's why he seems to feel guilty for having taken her to that breaking point. it was such an interesting arc and I feel it could've had more sense if they actually put some effort in developing masters' character past the 'naïve goody goody resident'

Your conscience, which people erroneously conflate with "feelings", lets you know when you have done something that is objectively wrong. When you do something wrong such as lie or steal even if you did them for reasons that you consider to be good you know within yourself that lying and stealing is still wrong this should cause you to feel a sense of grief for what you have done, most people attempt preoccupy their mind with something else until they aren't as bothered by what they did which makes it easier to go back to the situation later and try to rationalize the decisions that they made earlier what this does is it deadens your conscience making it easier for you to do things that you know to be wrong without being bothered by your conscience.

Masters showed true bravery here. Not only was she leaving the hospital, but I think she was leaving medicine as well. I wish there was a follow up show with Masters as the central character; I'd love to see where her life journey takes her.

My favorite thing about her is that she was smart enough to make her strict ethics work for her. Multiple times she achieved the necessary goal by telling the truth even when house assumed the best way was to lie.

I love how Masters AND Wilson took the lesson to be "you should disregard what the patient wants" because House had actually good reasons to not want the surgery that would have potentially cost him his leg entirely and DID cost him many years of chronic pain and a miserable life trying to deal with said pain. It wasn't "this is the ONLY way to save your life", we saw that in Three Stories. He had an alternative to the surgery that wasn't just "guess I die then", but Cuddy and his girlfriend took his choice and options away from him.

People who think what Masters did was right and her leaving was a sign of weakness, are just dumb...she essentially refused a human their free will, she was right to feel awful about it. The show makes us hate the "dumb" patients and love the "smart" House for defying them, but in reality we all want to have a "free will" and have the right to choose and live with the consequences of our choices because that's life

@randomguy9777 if you explain sth to a patient and yet they make the conscious decision to refuse it, then that's their consequence of their own free will and House has no right to try and "save" them whether it's for the right reasons or not...this is the law and it's a step towards human rights, maybe some day suicide will become legal too, but untill then, this is all the free will that the patient gets and no one, even if they're a genius, has the right to refuse them that. Also it was very hypocritical of house to do such things considering what happened with his leg!

@@nonamefound9296 I am not too sure I would call it hypocritical because, first of all House making a decision about himself is a bit different than an adolescent girl making a decision about herself in a way that House is actually a genius doctor who knew the risks pretty well but risked it all to have his leg back, while that girl was trying to stop amputating her arm so that she could win a competition, which was also a guaranteeed thing that she would die if she waited, while for House the procedure he asked for was very high risk but it was never guaranteed that he would die.

Well, that girl wouldn't live with the consequences, because she would be dead. There's a reason why legal guardians get to choose for children. In my opinion, Masters could have tried more to get the desired result(convince the parents to sign the form) in her own way, she'd done it before, but she was pressured because she was torn between what she's seen house do and her own morals, plus the fact that she was stressed about taking the internship or not. After everything she's seen, she went to House because she was expecting him to do something immoral again to save the patient's life, when he didn't, she felt like her only choices were to do it herself, or not do anything.

Not to mention, House had a heart attack during his selected procedure, dying was definitely a high chance. That was the entire purpose to pick the middle road, to save his life.

I love how sympathetic House becomes when Masters says she thought she would be happy. He made fun of her idealism and naiveté all season, but I think he secretly admired her for having principles, and realized that making her compromise them broke her, and he feels guilty.

So in House all the girls left (Cameron,13,Masters,Cuddy) while the guys (except Kutner) stayed unto the end. So we know what House' subtle message is

The final team at the end is Chase, Taub, Adams and Park. Of the 5 girls who have been on the team (Cameron, Thirteen, Masters, Park and Adams) , 2 stayed. Of the 4 guys who were on the team (Chase, Foreman, Taub and Kutner) , 2 stayed. The subtle message is that everyone managed to take their experiences with House and use it to find happiness in their lives (the eulogies given at House's funeral).

It's the ethical thing to do. Never lie to your patients, they have the right to refuse treatment and they have autonomy over their bodies

The mentality of lying to save peoples lives, as a doctor, is quite dangerous. People already have a hard time trusting their doctors. To know they lie to do what they think is best would make it so some people wouldn’t go to doctors at all.

Yeah, people disliked Masters because they thought she was annoying, but I think she's an interesting character for the show, and actually well written. Would I be friends with someone like Masters? Very unlikely. But I do like to watch her clash with House.
