Crazy part is it’s usually true. Everybody knows that hooper who was the best on the team but always got in trouble, no offers or flunked out of college first year. Then they’re back on the block posting bout “who got boa who got navy fed” tryna speedrun the money instead
@@modelscissors6463they always talking about they gonna start playing basketball again, usually get scouted and make it big blah blah blah but they’re gang affiliated or sell drugs and end up behind bars.
@LJ-jc8mcI hear you on that. However, it's not as simple as being a "loser". I've witnessed friends that had the skills to make it go down a different path. Hearing them talk about doing it again while seeing them continuing to do things that are harmful to them is heartbreaking.
Man, it's so true. It's simply because they have no good influence in their lives, and so they turn to the streets and its members for that support. Some people are forced into it as well. They'd have their lives threatened, and they'll be bullied simply because they refuse to travel down that path.
This is such a representation of real life, grown up poor or in a broken home and some flashy dude spot you or hook you up with some cash you find appreciation and respect join the gang ride or die till they actually die or end up locked up.

@@vnthony2439that's what I'm saying streets should be a dead last resort. If you got family that will bare with you while u get ur shit together you need to stand by that. Too many kids joining that life for little small shit that they can get on their own. My little brother is 17 and is very popular and makes good money all because he had family to hold him down while he brainstormed. So many times I had to talk to my brother and he's a damn teenager stressing the way he was Told him don't touch them streets yet bro I'm still here. Now niggas is ALL living nice. All because he waited n stayed down. I spend hours watching RU-vid n Netflix I used to spend entire weeks awake and selling pills n shit. And I was super young there was so many times where I was 1000% sure I'm finna die or go to prison for life. If I could back and start over I would. Even though I love my kids, I love all the people I have in my life. If I could really go back and start over I'd do it COMPLETELY opposite. And so will this kid in the video whenever hes getting ready to sleep at night. The visions the the voices n nightmares don't go away with time. And they start day 1.

Had a homeboy like this. Man was 6’5, sneaky athletic, and effortless 3. He was shooting deep threes before steph became steph and I’ve seen him go 10-10 in 21 just shooting threes nobody else even touches the ball 😂. Hands down the best player I’ve ever seen in person but he couldn’t take coaching and damn sure wasn’t leaving the streets .

Honestly though. Obviously you don't want to get involved with the shit he's up to, but having friends in those places ain't always a bad thing. Just don't owe them any favors

On my soul man I saw this one Christian bro at my HS Academy during Lunch my last semester before graduation. Hadn't seen him since 8th grade. But I was in classes with him all three years of middle school. I was so hyped, but he just got tattoos I was like "What who's you now?" Like this embodies him. At least he graduated on time XD. I have a cousin that used to be a D1 athlete.....he was a beast at basketball & football. When he went to a college in Florida, he got involved with the wrong crowd, decided to sell drugs, in and out of prison, all types of BS. I feel like if he took school seriously, he would've been in the NBA in 2020, I was really rooting for him
That hit me when he said it never put bread in your pockets bc they really be looking out for u but it’s like u can’t hangout with them bc u ain’t trying to got to jail😢
All jokes aside. Dude gave dude some cash, which he took and left with. Dude said “If you change ya mind” which is an offer not a shakedown. Homeboy with the cam didn’t have to be that rude. U still took the cash.
