OPP was a turning point... mainstream radio playing an underground hit. My cousin from NY was telling me about the song in Feb 91.... it's crazy today people don't even realize how great & influential they are.
Eminem has said that he should always be in the conversation of one of the greatest as he should hes in my top 10 treach. Nas and treach was the ones influencing Eminem the most rightfully so.
Treach (short for treacherous) was 2Pac's right hand man. He was also married to Pepa from Salt N Pepa. They're from New Jersey. One of my personal favorites was "Everything Gonna Be Alright."
That’s what I’m talking about youngin Naughty By Nature is one of hiphops greatest groups the group members are Treach Vinny and DJ Kay Gee there from East Orange NJ go deeper in there catalog like Uptown Anthem,It’s On , Craziest Treach is the one Eminem was inspired by 💪🏾
Treach is the MC, Vin is the hype man and Kay Gee does the production. NBN is a solid group, They beats always slam, Treach always give you tight verses and the hooks are made for the radio and clubs. One of the best Hip Hop groups!
This is a great one, Ahmad. Check out Uptown Anthem, Hip Hop Hooray and Everything's Gonna Be Alright (aka Ghettobastard) 2Pac makes a guest appearance in at least one video, I'm not saying which
@@TizOnly1 Agree, it's just so iconic that I think it almost detracts from other hits they had with varying levels of depth. I feel like either everyone has heard it or should wait until they've heard a little more substance so they're not pigeonholed as just cashing in on sex. Same when someone defines Salt n Pepa by "Let's Talk About Sex"
Hate how underrated naughty is now, especially treach. kay gee is a great producer...if youre old enough naughty from 91-96 were huge. They won the first best rap album grammy in 1996. Perfect song.
My intro to Naughty was Don’t Worry about A Thing (Feels Good) back in like 7th grade, they were still killing it a decade into the game and on the radio no less
Dude, you like that one, you should react to Yoke The Joker. That shit almost made Eminem quit rapping when he first heard it many years ago. Em has said this in multiple interviews over the years. Definitely check that one out.
My favorite naughty by nature song of all time. Fun fact about treach is that him and pac were very close friends and they fought about 20 dudes in a club one time. It's a funny story you should look into.
Naughty is from Newark, New Jersey. When The Treacherous MC stepped on the scene with O.P.P., we knew he was different. From The Multiple Flow Patterns. His Charisma. And overall Wit and Wordplay. At that time in Hip-Hop, Treach was CPR to the Game. Do yourself a favor and check out “Dirt All by My Lonely”?
If you like this you HAVE to react to: Naughty By Nature - Yoke The Joker That joint blew my mind (and many peoples) when it dropped. It's an incredible display of lyricism.
Eminem shouted out Treach as one of the greats recently & Treach responded by saying he wants Eminem to produce an album for him. Would be nice if he ends up putting out some new music again.
That's Treach a.k.a "Trigger Treach." Him and Pac became best friends when Pac rolled with Digital Underground and Treach with Queen Latifah in the late 80s & early 90s. You gotta check "Mourn You Til I Join You" dedicated to Pac
Even Eminem said Treach was one of his favorite rappers as a youth, he said when he heard Yoke the Joker for the first time it blew his mind and that’s when he wanted to take MCing seriously, that video is still up on RU-vid.
@@Paebakipctwnsfstk to me he was always a step or two above Sen Dog, the second voice from Cypress Hill (since B Real and Treach got most of the glory for their respective groups)
1995 banger off poverty’s paradise album! Naught from East Orange NJ. Treach is the main MC, vin Rock hypeman/rapper, KayGee super producer makes up Naught by Nature check out for more : craziest chain remains wickedest man alive ft queen latifah, guard ya grill, yoke the joker, uptown anthem, everything’s gonna be alright, Ready for dem ft heady d, take it to ya face, jamboree, feels good ft 3lw, rock and roll ft method man and redman Etc...
Do UPTOWN ANTHEM for your next naughty by nature it’s part of the movie Juice soundtrack and his boy his brother Tupac has a cameo in the video… oh you also have to check out MOURN YOU TILL I JOIN YOU its Treach to Tupac great song
Yeah, I'm big on flow now too. Its crazy how a lot of these new dudes in the game can't flow for shit, and ppl saying they nice when they can't even catch the beat, like WTF?? SMH! But Whatever
Naughty by nature is from new Jersey.treach and tupac were really good friends. Treach.vin rock.and. dj kay gee.do o.p.p. uptown anthem and everything gonna be alright. And hip hop hooray.word up son.
I'm sure someone has already said this, but Naughty By Nature is from New Jersey, same as The Fugees and Redman. Treach is CRIMINALLY underrated. His flows were lightyears ahead of pretty much everyone. Vin Rock is much better than he gets credit for being, too You gotta check Uptown Anthem if you haven't already
Naughty by Nature is from NJ. Treach is the main MC, Vin Rock (Vinny) is more like a hype man and MC and Kay Gee is the DJ. Treach is Pepa from Salt N Pepa baby daddy and was good friends with 2Pac. check out Naughty by Nature "Uptown Anthem" and "Written on ya Kitten" remix
Yoke the Joker is one of their earlier songs. Many people were introduced to their lyricism with that song, however there are better songs, if you want more complex rhyme schemes and flows.. BUT Yoke the Joker goes very hard as well.. Many people were introduced to Treach by that song.. However there are more complex lyrics in other songs, like Uptown Anthem or It's On... BUT if you want to start from something, it would absolutely be Yoke the Joker, so you can later see the growth and how these guys evolved in the their wordplay
yoke the joker - naughty by nature i know you probably already had this commented but u gotta peep it! nbn has tons of bangers but treaches flow on that is insane, a song eminem refers to as mind blowing.
Treach and Vin Rock are the rappers but Treach does the heavy lifting and DJ Kay Gee does the production. You have to check out Uptown Anthem, Everything’s Gonna Be Alright, Mourn You ‘Til I Join You, Craziest and of course O.P.P. and Hip Hop Hooray.
Naughty by nature: Yoke the joker 91 Wicked man alive ft queen latifah 91 Pin a tail on a donkey 91 ^ (featured in tong hawk pro skater 1999) Guard ya grill 91 Uptown anthem92 Hip hop hooray 93 It’s on93 Take it to ya face 93 Ready for dem ft heavy d 93 Poor man poetry 93 (poetic justice soundtrack)
This group consists of Treach, Vin Rock who's also an emcee and producer Kay G. They are from "Illtown" which is East Orange NJ. Iconic group with many hits unfortunately the group somewhat fell apart due to a dispute whereas its been rumored that during an argument Vin Rock did some petty ish and snuffed Treach from behind. Which wasn't good for him being that it was Treach artistic pen that wrote Vin Rocks versus in there music but I too hope they can get past this & head back in the studio. 🎶 like there's is missing.
