When I was 16 in 1970, I had a Maxi coat just like this one..red patent leather with faux black fur collar and cuffs. I LOVED that coat, loved being like "THAT GIRL"..WAS a little tough stuffing into my high school locker tho 😅🤣😂

They were sometimes just called "slickers". Mine were magenta & a second one in solid black. The closest thing now to them are the long LL Bean raincoats with black corduroy collar & cuffs.

The title of this episode is a play on the name of the Jane Fonda/Gig Young 1969 movie, "They Shoot Horses, Don't They". I love the fashions, the outfit that she was wearing when she was "washing the windows", I would love to wear that.

My God, is That Girl and Dick van dyke show the only TV shows on you tube now, shown in full? Laverne and Shirley, The Munsters, Rhoda, and Mary Tyler Moore show used to be shown in full, every ep. Now Laverne and Shirley are hard to find! They need to stay on You Tube!!!

Loved this episode but wish they would have included the baby in future episodes. I believe that they made reference once and then nothing after that. Another show I loved back in the day - McMillian and Wife - did the same thing.
