I get that impression from the entire squad, everyone seems to be happy to do their job and accept their job even if it’s a lesser role. Watkins tonight, konsa coming in for the quarters and toney for the penalty and the assist in the Ro16. International tournaments is about the entire squad just cause ur not starting you still have a job. mainoo is the best player in the world
@@hjc6273 Toney even played a huge role in Jude's overhead kick, he drags defenders out making the space open. The majority of the work centre forwards do is tended to not be noticed because it's off the ball. But yeah, the brightest light we've had on this run is the strength off the bench, great attitude. I'm not sure you can claim Mainoo is the best in the World, not yet at least, but he is a genuine prospect. I think the Mancs have got a real pearler in this lad, and he's in a position they were desperate to fill.
I'm a villa fan, and Palmer did what grealish did for Watkins at villa... Watkins will move into space and Palmer will find him evertime.. Great linkup play
@@aliabokar2072 he's at his best when side on or back to goal..... His turning ability and ability to fire away his shot is old school number 9 play... I've been sat in the holte for most of my life and I'm 46 so have seen our greats ( pre 81/82) but every time Watkins gets the ball to feet in the box I expect him to get a shot away
I'm an Arsenal fan but I love Kane. Look how he doesn't even blink in bigging up Watkins. He hasn't been at his best this tourney but what a player and what a guy.
He has always come across well. He's a brilliant striker and he doesn't have an ego whatsoever. England are lucky to have him, the players in that squad definitely look up to him.
@eyebelieve3 Southgate can see this as well. Thats why he brought Watkins on who subsequently scored the winner. Did you not see the game? Get off the managers back you cretin, back to back finals in international football is nothing to sneer at.
That’s cos Kanes nowadays is a hindrance on that team and just sits too deep when at 30 he should just be a fox in the box type of player cos amount of balls that get pinged in and he’s no where to be seen is just crazy.
Palmer and Watkins was a simple move. The striker runs forward into space, and the midfielder passes forward. England need to do more of that. Hopefully Foden scores in the Final.
Maino phenomenal, Walker on form, saka great. Foden had a good game tbf! But palmer is so positive, that let’s go only forward attitude, perfect with Watkins who wants to make those runs. We need that combo.
@@MarquesJo71 Ake lost him for the leadup to the penalty, and then Saka would've had the winner if Walker had kept his fat-arse onside. Ake didn't have his City mates to bail him out
Can we all appreciate how great is the kid Koobi , it is written in the star that he will lift and score in the Final...quote me on that. Cmon England ❤
England fan here, I genuinely wrote them off after the 2nd group stage match. What a tournament I take it back, two finals in two Euros. Fair play to you boys.
Typical hypocrite fan. Fake patriots who ignore the migrant boats, but dig out the plastic flags every 2 years. Probably can't tell you when st Georges day is, either..
Southgate deserves so much credit for this game, the players stepped up too. Just so happy FINALLY, let’s hope Sunday is one to remember for the rest of our lives
Southgate is a liability, no credit for doing what every idiot in the country could see what was needed . He nearly left it too late ,he got lucky ,thank God .
All the negativity these boys have received, yet they are in the finals. Truly proud of this team. Their spirit and hard work has given us a reason to cheer
@@PazLeBongive it a rest mate! Learn to give credits where due, no one’s saying we’ve been great throughout the tournament but the performance today was one to be proud of.
@@PazLeBonI thought Bellingham had an alright game, I can see why Southgate keeps him on is for moment of brilliance which works, but I still think he would be more effective as a number eight, cause when we foden had a good game, Bellingham doesn’t, they struggle to work simultaneously for some reason
Kobbie Mainoo looking like prime Seedorf out there. So elegant and athletic. A future superstar. 19 years old and speaks so maturely as well. Absolutely love him.
He does deserve credit. He's dragged us through the tough games, and he's implemented finishers like Toney and Watkins, who have come on and won the games for us. I'm not one of Southgates' biggest supporters, but he deserves our respect.
@@jonathonsears6269 we havent had any tough games and he did his best to lose them and he hasnt utilised those form players for more than 15m or so when hes desperate, weve been better after subs each game and he still plays the same rubiish
WELL DONE OLLIE YOU ARE OUR COUNTRIES HERO!!! WHAT A PLAYER YOU TRULY ARE, U TRULY DESERVE UR PLACE IN THIS SQUAD 100% UV MADE US ALL BELIEVE & DARE TO DREAM!! WHAT A GOAL & WHAT SKILL-YOU COMPLETELY DESERVE UR MAN OF THE MATCH STATUS!🙌 & LETS NOT FOGET COLE, WHAT AN ASSIST TO OLLIE BY COLE PALMER-QUALITY SKILLS WHAT AN AMAZING DUO PEACE OF WORK FROM THOSE 2-UTTER CLASS & PIECE OF BRILLIANCE LADS!!!🏴
What a player Kobbie Mainoo is. His vision, awareness, movement, positioning, passing, attacking, tracking back, tackling, and ball winning is unfathomable for a lad his age. He looks like the missing piece.
@@vincebiro on the pitch for less than 10 mins, make more impact than Kane all game - Kane was fortunate to be given the penalty in the first place. Kane is out of form, Watkins would be so much better
Congrats to Ollie for a fantastic finish. To do that after having to wait patiently for the opportunity took focus and professionalism. Thank you to him for the memorable goal and playing a major part. Thank you to the entire squad and staff for getting England to the final.
Congratulations to England from Cambodia! They finished top of the group and people keep saying it's the lucky draw, easy side of the draw. I almost dropped my phone and went to bed in the game vs Slovakia (I watched it Live on Smartphone). On Sunday, I wish they can be Champions of Europe. Last time it was very close.
@@PazLeBon It's up to you. Even if England beat Spain, you'll say it's luck. Yamal's goal was considered as genius against France, while Bellingham's bicycle kick may be thought as only luck for you. Spain only trailed France in the first half and still at least had another 45 minutes to equalize while England trailed Slovakia to the last 2 minutes of the game, had they not scored, they would have headed home. The goal was even more difficult to shoot. The pressure was more on Bellingham's shoulder than Yamal's, yet many people would only see it as pure luck. If you have prejudice, everything you see is more negative than it actually is.
Brilliant- to all football players taking part- in just what we all need - normality and a sport that transcends and brings us together again … Thank you guys ❤❤❤
This really has been an amazing squad performance… gotta give the players credit for being prepared and Southgate for managing and preparing them all so well… 👏👏👏👏
Well done Gareth. This man has got nothing but stick since he got the job, he’s done exceptionally well and I’m buzzing for him, you can tell he is a great guy the players respect him and I’m proud of us ❤
Well done Kobbie Mainoo, future captain for Manchester United and England.... what a talent and a shoutout to Luke Shaw, he came on and calmed things down and played well for a injured player. well done boys
Cole Palmer class, gives England that energy boost they need to win, fearless, class finish from Watkins, I hope this squad are hungry to finish off Spain on Sunday. Believe. You all have the ability and skill to win it! Give it your all now is the time , make history!
Kane deserves a mention too, played super well for the first half with those chances. Glad he got subbed but he's clearly still injured so having Watkins and Toney as subs is just unfair
I love this team so much. Idc how bad the football was before. Nothing that has come before makes a difference. 24 teams showed up. There’s 2 left. One of the is England.
What a guy Kobbie is! Plays way beyond his years and is so calm on the ball. What a shout from Southgate to bring him, he’s earned his spot in that midfield.
@@keepitsecret-dl1pr Consider one alternative hypothesis: Southgate knows more about managing an injury-depleted squad through a major tournament than you do.
@@keepitsecret-dl1prNo the team has progressed because it's resilient. Southgate might not be everyones favourite tactician but his man management is second to none. Ask the players!
Mate, I've literally been waiting ALL EUROS for these two to be on the field again with eachover. Both play makers both linked so well absolutely brilliant. BETTER GET SOME PLAY TIME NOW!!!
I think kobbie mainoo is brilliant if he was starting group games england would have been excellent.. congratulations I'm irish it could be your tournament
I also think that goal was one of the best of the tournament. It's really special, nice passed, good run, holding the ball, turned around with the good right foot kick under the pressure of the Ned Back, and GOAAL!! Amazing..
After a tepid start to the tournament, the introduction of Mainoo into the England engine room and then Shaw on the left has transformed the team. Much more balanced and capable.
I am absolutely buzzing for the win and proud of the boys don’t get me wrong, but we cannot play that cagey like we did for the entirety of the second half tonight when we go up against Spain. We need to go all out when the opportunity arises.
@@DanielYolland-gu8gt Dont confuse obtaining a good result with getting it right. When you have a very talented team, any player can score and give you a good result. The first few games Fode, Bellingham, Saka, and Alexander out of position. Now Alexader is out and Mainoo is in. Foden and Saka in their right position, Bellingham still ou of position but Southgate has corrected a few things.
Kobbie reminds me of seedorf. A true number 8. Definitely more suited to going forward but can tackle too. He’s the most well rounded midfielder since Steven Gerrard. In the world.
@@liamodonnell1472 Id agree and im a Manchester United fan. In and around the box he's devastating. I've heard he ran 10 kilometres tonight also. That's the best ive ever seen him play for England.
Ollie watikins has scored more goals at this tournament then mbappe and Ronaldo put together amazing amazing ollie watikins you hero.can't wait for Sunday
This team should be winning things with that talent, delighted for Ollie, big fan of his play. I don’t think they can beat Spain but if they get the mentality & shape right they possibly could.
