To skip the problem of stripping the leaves off thyme, just put the stalks of thyme in the freezer, in a plastic bag. Just crush the frozen stalks lightly and the leaves fall off into the bottom of the bag. Remove the woody stalks and it’s all done! Keep the thyme frozen in a jar and it tastes just like fresh thyme from the garden. I also dry some of the leaves and they have a slightly different flavour.

I think it's hilarious that you mentioned growing your own peanut butter. I literally harvested my peanut crop last week and have hung them to dry. I use my handy dandy Vita Mix and make my own peanut butter. Totally organic, grown in my own yard, lol... You should try it!

You can even make a small batch using a Magic Bullet, dry roasted peanuts, and a little of your favorite oil (salt optional). 🥜

@@susanturner1171 Hi Susan! I'm actually in 8A and have grown Spanish peanuts for years. As long as you have about 115-120 days of growth and SOME heat, I think they could be grown. Since her 8B is PNW, it may be that she needs to put some sort of covering over the plants to add more heat. I'm east of ATL and we don't lack in the heat, lol...and GA is known for it's peanuts.

As for cider/hard cider - it’s not just overseas. I’m from Canada and didn’t realize the difference until a US friend mentioned her toddler loved ‘cider’. We refer to cider as being alcoholic and everything else as juice (filtered/unfiltered etc). Had a good laugh and discussion of regional differences at the same time! 😉😊

I've been using a Diva Cup exclusively for more than 15 years, and it's great. Comfortable, never leaks, not messy, and so much more convenient than any other option I tried. Good Morning, thank you sharing your grocery hauls with us. Just want to recommend these 3 Gravy mixes that I use and it just requires adding water. I always pick these up at Walmart. Morrison Country Style Peppered Gravy Mix, 24 Oz -$3.97, Southeastern Mills Onion Gravy Mix, 1.70 oz - $1.24 and Southeastern Mills Brown Gravy Mix, 1.70 oz - $0.93. So easy to make and would go great with Instant Mash Potatoes. The Country Gravy is a winner on breakfast biscuits or, with any meal. I am looking into buying more “just add water” items on my next shopping trip. Oh, also.. the Zatarain’s Rice Dinners are a great side or added to canned beef or chicken. ( tacos or casserole? ) We really love their Cilantro and Lime Boxed Rice.

Hi Becky - just love your channel and content. You are so much like me it's ridiculous! I have 24 yrs. on you, so I cannot and do not accomplish what you do these days, but your videos motivate me to do more than I have been! Just wanted to say, I had a fur baby with epilepsy (he's passed from old age last year), but anyway, he developed it when he was 1 and he lived to be 2 weeks short of 13 (best guess because he was a rescue). I had to give him medication 2 X per day precisely every 12 hours. Once we got his seizures under control and his medication at the therapeutic level (within a month of the first seizure). He never had one that I'm aware of again. That's 11+ yrs and he was a big boy (German Shepherd). I started giving him his meds with peanut butter, but the day it got stuck to the roof of his mouth with the pill, was the last day he would take peanut butter. I had to become very creative and some other things that work are: cream cheese, liver sausage and hot dogs. I wasn't crazy about giving him processed food bites 2 X a day, so I started making 'mush'; which was lean ground beef or pork (cooked) and ground in the food processor with either cooked carrots, peas or green beans. This makes a somewhat wet and moldable consistency. It freezes really well too. Just thought that I'd share this information with you. Please know that your little friend can live a seizure free life as long as you are diligent about not going over 12 hours between doses as anit-seizure medication doesn't have a half life. Happy Thanksgiving and many thanks again for your channel, content and simply being adorable you!!

I went to culinary school and love cooking and food in general, it’s my biggest passion, to find someone else who is just like me in that sense and loves being in the kitchen is just so refreshing. Your channel has given me so many ideas and has just re-inspired my passion and creativity with my food. Now the main reason for my comment…..try the menstrual cup…..LIFE CHANGING! I put it over for 3 years now because honestly they scared the bejesus out of me. I made the switch to organic cotton tampons but still felt very wasteful….not to mention I have really painfully and heavy periods and I heard the cup is supposed to help reduce those symptoms….so I bought one last month and it has really changed my mind. Don’t get me wrong, a little tricky the first time, but once you get the hang of it it feels so liberating lol. Love your channel, truly obsessed! Can’t wait for more gardening content as that’s something else I’ve been Interested in trying 😊

Love your grocery haul. For my coleslaw recipe, I use a package of coleslaw, but I shred it smaller. Then I add Miracle whip, & Splenda. When you use the Splenda, use 1/4 cup to 1 cup of regular white sugar. So it is 3-4 tablespoons with the 1/4 cup of Splenda. When I make & serve this coleslaw, this doesn't last long. This is delicious.

Growing up dates were only available during the holidays. My mother always stuffed the date with peanut butter and rolled in powdered sugar. It was a treat. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

We, too, love Garofalo pasta. Something I learned from my big sis after she was stationed in Naples, Italy…in Italy, pasta is extruded through bronze plates which gives it more texture to hold the sauce. US made pasta is extruded through stainless steel plates and is very smooth resulting in pasta that sits in sauce instead of holding the sauce. After she said that I realized it was something I had noticed between authentic Italian restaurant pasta and my cheaper store brand pasta I used at home, but never knew why. Fred Meyer (Kroger) has a Private Selection (I think) that is labeled as bronze cut and it is my go-to when I run out of costco pasta.

A heated mattress pad is amazing too. You can get them with dual controls. Here in Wisconsin they help keep toasty.😊

Oh Becky, just saw the heated blanket comment from my fellow Canuck - they are worth their weight in gold. Also, try an electric mattress pad. Heats you from the bottom up. Most have dual controls & more wiring down around the feet. Toasty.

Give the menstral cup a try! I was scared too, but a good friend convinced me to try it and I’ll never go back! The first cycle I used it I was kind of uncomfortable it, but after that I got the hang of it. It doesn’t go in as far as a tampon. I think my symptoms are not as bad now either! It’s a great great thing!

I have both an electric heated fleece blanket and a electric under blanket to go on the mattress under the sheet! It’s the best. I use that for the bed (obviously lol) and the heated blanket for the sofa when we are chilling. We actually use a duvet more often as it’s free but if it’s really really cold the heated blanket comes out.

I love watching your channel, and I"m able to watch it around my kids (which is a big plus!). My youngest child loves seeing your chickens and my older one and I like to talk about what we would plant if we had a garden like yours. We live in the Portland area also, so its fun to see the places you go. We always buy our mayo at Costco because they have the Primal Kitchen mayo made with avocado oil, just FYI. Thanks again for making all of your videos!

First- I love all your videos and it’s so exciting to see how your channel has grown! Second- so sorry to hear about your fur baby having seizures. I also have a dog that suffers from seizures and when your baby gets tired of the peanut butter try Liverwurst. Literally the most disgusting meat paste on Earth, but it works like a charm. Just a tiny bit because I know it’s not the healthiest, but it does work. Just wanted to give you a tip since I was scrambling when my dog got tired of all my other tricks. 🤣

best suggestion I got was to buy two sets of smaller top bedding instead of one larger. No worries about bed hogs, different weights easy to manage, etc. Easy to meet in the middle still...

I do this also! I prefer the look of the oversized comforter on the bed anyway and it definitely helps with not smothering hubby with the pillow from walking up freezing when he used to steal the blankets! 🤣
