When I listened to this song, i imaged a grotesque fight between two drunkards. This is infinitely more disturbing and amusing. He always looks afraid, such a wonderful music video to a wild song!
I feel like this is in reference to people with mental health issues or addiction issues, You try to live a normal life, but your condition fights you every step of the way.
The ego The self abuse that spills over onto others The life we live to prove ourselves worthy Pain turns to pleasures as we twist the life into lies Do we even live or die All we ever do is try Feeding the wrong wolf inside only forms into pride as we fall from grace
Fun fact there's a brain problem called alien hand syndrome (i think) that makes it so your hand seems to move on its own and do weird stuff which is awful similar to what this video depicts but the issue typically doesn't make you beat yourself with a toilet lid.
He's made an other song like this called "Watch these Hands" tho not by THD you have to check his personal page on spotify or any other music streaming platform
A belting banger ballad - Thank You guys! I dedicate this song to my new boss Been with you since we dressed the city in dynamite (Fuck, are we getting old?) Still looking forward to maybe one day seeing you out here in south-west Ohio
It did occur to me while watching it it's a powerful message about self-harm...bit of a Charlie's Inferno vibe...if you don't face your demons...they'll haunt you. Also wanna say that those who self-harm shouldn't be judged and I hope THD's art helps destigmatize them. We cope in unhealthy ways when we're denied the human connections we all have a need for.
I think this video has something to do with self harm and mental illnesses that make you hurt yourself...as somebody who can't help but scratch my arm and leg and face till it bleeds and other types of self harm this is just my daily routine I guess
