A Macro View of Several Wasp Species that you may see in your yard.
Many viewers are sharing information about the Giant "Murder" Hornet and telling me that it's "in many States".
I think most of those who think they have found an Asian Giant Hornet, have actually observed or captured the European Hornet, which has been in the United States for over a hundred years.
In this video, I give you a very close up view of the largest "established" True Hornet here in the United States.
I also include other wasps that cause some annoyance at the bee hives and are likely to sting people when outside picnicking or mowing etc...
My feeders are out in order to attempt to attract the honey bees to drink in Spirulina loaded sugar syrup now that summer has officially ended.
What happened was, the honey bees all but ignored the mix, but the wasps of many species are soaking it in!
The result should be, that they all have improved gut health.
One side benefit has been that the wasps and hornet species are drawn away from the bee hives and instead are sipping my spirulina mixture.
I hope you enjoy the close-ups and information.
IF you truly and absolutely do have an Asian Giant Hornet... preserve the specimen and contact your Dept. of Ag Extension Office asap.
You can preserve specimens in alcohol.
Thanks for watching as always!
