Sometimes genetics can override-you know the nature vs. nature thing. Julian himself worried that he didn’t want the pattern to continue so he’s had reservations in starting a Family. Glad to see him in such fine form as always despite the struggles he did have in life.
@@IMeMineWho We will probably never know for sure, but I think John was under Yoko's spell. John spent lots and lots of money to get one of Yoko's kids back with Yoko. Fortunately for the kid, the courts did not give Yoki's daughter back to her.
Love Julian Lennon, so down to earth. A great musician, who lives for himself and doesn't need to be compare to his father. His mother raised a wonderful human being. Hope that I get to see him in concert one day.
I have been a fan of Julian's since his first song was released and one of my dreams was to see him in concert. When I was in my late 20's that opportunity came up. He played in a small venue in Portland Oregon and I think it was the best concert I have ever been to.
But needs to look after his hair ASAP! Like his Dad, really great that he never had a weight problem; proven to age hair follicles. But clearly needs topical 10% minoxidil 2x day, dutasteride 2x day. And if no growth in ~ 4 months than add oral minoxidil 2x day. Have to wash out the old minoxidil nightly. No smoking!
He is his own man - I never could understand why there was so much criticism when he first came on the scene. I thought it was ridiculous. He is very talented in so many ways.
I really like Julian, seems he had alot in life to deal with, a gentle soul, every time I see him I think he's a lovely human I can tell... Jean Liverpool
I met Julian years ago in a radio studio . I was a photographer at the time and was there to do some shots. He was absolutely a beautiful soul and was very humble and lovely towards me and thee shot captured his soul. ❤️🌹 I tried to reach out to him as I wanted to give it to him over the years even on the White Feather site but to no avail. I think he would love it and is a piece of history. Was privilaged to photograph him .
I think he might be on social media if im not mistaken :) i follow him on instagram. Lots of pretty photos of nice scenery. Certainly a great photographer he is 😊
I love you Julian your seventh album is awesome with lovely, powerful, dancing, positived and passionate songs wow...like everything in your carrer: photos, books, documentaries are well done, you are a great artist, very brilliant... Congratulations. You are the One and JUDE is the better. Thanks for sharing us.💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Years ago I saw Julian in concert with his band at Toads Place in New Haven CT. During a song some people were carrying on in the back of the audience. Julian stopped the song and told them how rude they were dropping a few F bombs in the process. It was a great moment and I thought it was very genuine of him to do that. He put on a great concert that evening.
@@toddbest You don't know a thing about John. He was very much a gentleman. He wasn't the best father, and that's something he was very aware of. He tried to do better later in life, and with Sean, but wasn't there as much for him as most people think either. There was too much interference in his life to be much good for anything other than being a musician.
Julian certainly paid his dues and did not hang on the coat tails of his Dad He truly has talent in many areas His Mom Cynthia raised a well rounded man
The part of Julian Lennon's story that really reaches me is the grace with which he has moved through the world in light of all he's been through. He endured the pain of an absent father, bullying from peers, faced the stinging unfairness of knowing his father was CAPABLE of being a dad but just didn't do it for HIM. When Julian expressed his artist's heart in the '80s, all anyone could do is react to his much he sounded like his father. Then, to square with looking and sounding like the father who wasn't there for him, the loss of most of the mementos of what relationship he DID have with John.... It's a LOT. He's had to navigate through a very difficult and bitter journey, but he came through it and is a total class act. He's truly an inspiration and role model.
There is no rock star ego with Julian. Being the son of one of the most celebrated musicians of the century is a mixed blessing. He obviously had access to connections in the music industry that the rest of us will never have, but then he will be constantly compared to an impossible standard that no one can ever live up to. Luckily, he has the talent to pull it off. Cynthia raised him well.
His mother only. His dad abandoned him as a boy and never saw him again! John Lennon was a horrible human being, and deserves no credit for this amazing man!
He seems like a decent guy who could be bitter but seems to generally take the high road. He got that from his mom. Good luck with the record Julian. Never too old to rock and Roll.
Enjoyed meeting you in Seattle and being part of the interview at KXRX 96 dot 5 where I worked. Only wished we could have met up on the Isle of Man as we discussed. That was back in 89/90. Oh well, take care Julian. It was a memory and a possibility that I will also hold dear to my heart.
This was a wonderful interview. It was great to hear about the loves and difficulties of Julian's journey without mentioning his father by name. Very classy. His dad was my fave, but still, it is so great to see the fullness of a child of someone famous without wasting so much time talking about the famous parent. Well done!
@Jeremy Green Oh but Sean and Yoko deserved it all more somehow??? Please! Julian had to FIGHT psycho ...er, I mean Yoko😮 - Anyway, he had to fight HER for that. Typical narcissistic stepmother thinking her new husband's life (and the people in it, including his child/children) prior to her, don't exist... or shouldn't exist, so should be cast aside.🙄 And shame on John for not advocating for Julian and his place in his life. Just disgusting. Money isn't everything. Its the emotional betrayal that hurt the most, I'm sure. But he was never going to get an apology from a deceased Father... and thats a hell all its own. I'm happy Julian has at least somewhat made peace with that betrayal, and had the loving mother he did in Cynthia ❤ So glad he sounds hopeful and doing well.
@akieokuma8868 Is that Spanish or Italian?? I took a little Spanish in high school but I'm sorry, I'm not sure exactly what you wrote to me? 🤷♀️ If I'm not mistaken, it looks as though you agree with my comment?
@@julianlennon572 Friend, I know it’s a thing, but you shouldn’t pretend you’re Julian. You could have just tipped your hat as whomever you really are. Wishing you peace and love🙏🕊

@@julianlennon572 I'm fine, thank you, and I've signed up as a subscriber and will spread the word about your album and your music. We're about the same same age, although this music can resonate with any age group. It's so nice to hear real music coming from the heart. I was looking for recently published music like this that communicates peace and understanding. We really need this message now in our world. People can tell when a person is authentic and the real deal. We need more of this kind of artistry. Thank you for remaining true to yourself and true to your talent!

I don't know, you may have already done some of those. I noticed that people love those live chats, where the host talks about their work and vision and people in the chat ask questions.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful interview with the best humanitarian of this planet 🌎 with all his fabulous artistic skills he shares with the world 🌎; Mr. Julian Lennon ❤️🙏. I love him from the beginning days of Valotte until now with his new album Jude 🖤🤍. And every album made in between those two albums. I'm so glad BMG eventually could convince him to make a new album and I certainly do hope so it won't be his last, because he is such a talented musician and singer songwriter. Although I do love his photography work also a lot. But his music makes me happy and gives me the strenght to keep up with life and these strange days we live in at the moment and I bless him for being there with his music and all other good things he does in life with his White Feather Foundation, his photography, writing children's books and filming documentaries ❤️🙏. He's the BEST and deserves all the love and credits in the world for his artistic skills ❤️🙏

Julian is a great all round good bloke. Great musician, multi-talented, and so completely down to earth. Just a regular guy. He was standing next to me at a check-in for a flight from London to New York just after 'Too late for Good Byes' had broken through, and we are within a couple of days the same age. April 1963. I smiled and nodded, and he smiled and nodded back, but I left it at that.... which when I think back I regret. I doubt Julian even remembers, but even then he was just so unassuming, it almost felt rude to intrude and start a conversation when he was just getting on with his life...
I loved this Podcast...ive always felt for a man whos been in his Fathers shadow...hes a brill musician as his Dad was....i loved his Dad ...i love Julian x
Julian Lennon appears to be a very well adjusted and thoughtful human being. It is a pity he did not become a father, because he would have been a wonderful dad.
Wonderful to have this great new music from Julian. I've heard a few interviews with him over the last several months. In my opinion, his temperament is more reminiscent of George Harrison.
@Julian Lennon Hello Julian. Thank you for the very nice post. I have to be honest, I don't know your music but sincerely intend to learn. I repeat and repeat your youtube singing IMAGINE for Ukraine. Every day, I wake up to see if President Zelinski is still alive. My heart is so heavy with sadness that Putin attacked Ukraine for no reason at all.

I’ve loved the Beatles since feb 7, 1964 when they landed in nyc. When I heard Julian’s music, I was so impressed with his talent. At no time did I see him as TRYING to be his dad. He had his own sound, own talent, and I listened to his first album over and over. I just don’t understand why he wasn’t supported! Vastly underrated!
Hello Willette How're you doing? Comments like this are priceless. Thanks for all your love and support, also for being an amazing fan. It's nice meeting you here
As a first wave fan when the excitement was earth shaking, I remember being shocked and unbelieving when those pictures of Cynthia in shades and scarf was photographed with her pram with little baby Julian inside. We were really so upset to think John was married. We all wanted to marry them..all four of them!! HA. Then when we got to "know" Cynthia, Jane, Pattie and Maureen we wanted to be like them..copied their hair and dress ...I do remember though seeing Cynthia in the street pushing Julian around then thinking that would sink the Beatles. I love that Julian grew up so nicely and we all felt in a way he was "our" baby...Great times. Great memories.
Love Julian, he is a level headed very grounded man and I believe that is all thanks to his wonderful mother who he loved so much. I hope he meets someone special one day and which ever lady it might be then she will be very lucky.
John would be so proud to see the nice man that Julian grew up to be. The first Beatle baby, loved by first wave Beatles fans around the world like myself, grew into a sterling individual.
We really like the new album. BMG has done some great stuff. Love what they do and have done, ie-Gary Moore, Iron Maiden, etc. Their packaging is fantastic.🎧
Such a cool guy Julian is. John's my favorite artist ever, and it's so great that his son grew up to be such a talented, kind, down to Earth artist that Julian is "in his own write". Julian has always been such a class act.
A very interesting interview ! How Julian came to make this album and the messages of hope and gratitude ❤🙏🏻I wish to this great artist all the success he deserves 👏🏻
I’m Jules age, so we’ve grown up in basically the same world. The 80s were the best! Music was alive! Stuff was great. We were all rooting for each other. I get it. Time goes on. We’re still here….kinda watching…what’s going on…it’s weird, but it’s a miracle how stuff works. 💙 I grew up, watching the apple go round and round to “hey Jules” everything goes around and round…😅 still.
