My family is from Hiawassee, my great grandpa's farm is under that lake. Like many other families, he lost his land when they built the lake. If you walk along the shore you can find shards of pottery, old bottles, etc from all the houses and homesteads that were once there.
Got my new puppy’s service dog certification today. She’s official! Whoop! Told the hubby about the cheese. He’s supposed to be checking to see if you left a link or he’ll watch to catch the name of the place cuz I didn’t quite catch it. I love that he’s watching now too!

Your hamburger steak looks delicious! I grew up with homegrown beef and there are no words to describe how delicious and tender it was. My Mom would sometimes fry T-bone steak and you could literally cut it with a fork! There is no comparison with department store beef and fresh homegrown beef!

Saving turtles. I remember my dad tried that one time. He almost got snapped 😮. It was a snapping 🐢.he saved it anyway. I remember our meat market when I was a kid. We always went on Saturday for Daddy's lunch meat for his lunches & our sausage, ground beef & liver pudding. Great memories. Pretty lake I love to have 🧺 by a lake. 🍦 Is a must have. Have you all ever tasted Creamed Honey? I tried some Cinnamon flavored creamed honey from a Farmer’s Market. It was delicious. They also had lemon flavored creamed honey. Both were delicious. I put mine on a waffle.
Eating put is so special if food is good. Your food looked good. Love a good cheese too. You came home and cooked a good hamburger. Hope you're able to get a good steak to cook next time. I know it will be good
