I just love this tune & haven't been able to find it anywhere else but with this filmstrip. Pretty suave presentation for a rugged little SUV. So far, there is no info on the music, group or arrangement. It does sound a bit like the Modernaires.
Unfortunately.... that's all there is for this one. Just a jazzy, ear worm type jingle. And that's about it. The record is shot. This was a pain in the neck to get to play right. The scratch is at such an arc across the grooves, it's near impossible to get it to play.
So.... if anyone knows of a place that reconditions record grooves by hand..... please let me know. There was a place out on the west coast (Seattle? Spokane??) that did it & they seem to have disappeared. The only option so far is to ship it off to Rome. Yeah... the country.
This is a really cool one & I'd like to get it completed. IF the record should get fixed, I'll do the colorizing part. Hope to get the images a bit better than the thumbnail done for this short thing. There are actually a few frames on the ilmstrip that have a bit of color left & should be fairly easy to sort out. The Scout & International 560 image used for the thumb was pretty red before I got a hold of it. It won't make the cover of Farm Journal or Hoard's, but it should do for here.
Then post it for all to drool over!!
