I had an expander, they actually aren't terrible after you get used to them, but, for the first week or so, you can only eat soft stuff, and for the whole time NO gum, NO gummies, NO caramel, NO toffee, NO roasted marshmallows, NO s'mores, which basically ruined halloween and campfires. I also had a cast for 3 months, which ruined most of the summer (all but the first 2 weeks of summer break), and it was my DOMINANT ARM!! So, for a week, I had to slopply write with my left hand, but I got lucky since I got the same teacher as I had the year before. (Gr.3-Gr.3/4 split) But, I just had to break my arm in 2020, the worst year of covid!!!
My friends dad broke his arm when he was younger and his mom told him not to finch when he was getting it off. The saw ended up going into his skin. And he has a scar to this day 😬
As someone who has broken both of my legs at different times, the cast does smell absolutely terrible, and they tell you not to scratch it- but they also told me when I broke my leg for the first time not to walk on it with the cast on it and I did that anyhow, and it happened to rain at the time so the cast was soaked and my foot smelled awful 😅
I actually broke my arm once and when the kid with the cast said “u don’t realise how much u use u arm until u can’t use it” it brought so many memories back ❤😂😢
I scratched my arm with a pen while I had my cast on and the pen cap got stuck inside, so they had to remove it and there was a bloody outline of the pen cap 😃
I've had casts and bandages for like a year it was indeed itchy and after it gets taken off. Aswell as the smell when the cast was took off it smelled so bad because of the sweat from your arm
I got ears pierced when I was very young like 2 and a half and since I was a child they gave me earring that I couldn't take off (they had to be taken off by a professional) until I was 10 (I got them removed) so I only really got the wearing earring experience after I was 10 even though I had my ears pieced most of my life
I had an expander for about two years because they left it in so they wouldn't need a retainer. It really wasn't that bad and turning it was not that painful. It was really weird at first, but I got used to it. I'm glad to have it off now you can definitely eat a cheeseburger and almost anything I ate , I still ate normally and just had to deal with getting things stuck in after if you're getting one it's not that bad bro
Bug Juice doesn't have real bugs in it. it's a cool nickname we use for lemonade, fruit punch, Gatorade, or any kind of consumable liquid that attracts bugs.
For the piercings when I got my piercing done in January my second one, and it literally felt like you got poked with a wire for like five seconds, so no it didn’t hurt. People ask you that all the time if it hurts whenever you tell someone you got your piercing done.
