That Les Paul is a ROBOT! The 2007 Gibson Limited Edition Les Paul Robot Guitar 

The robot tuners on the 2016 Gibson Guitars are super fast. They keep a LP in tune, man!! I love them

I just bought a robot in red thats in the mail. Someone before took all the robot stuff out which is fine with me. A whole bunch of people got a hell of a deal when they blew these robot guitars out in the first place because no one wanted the robot stuff. You could always remove the robot stuff and save them and convert back at some point if you wanted. That blue/silver finish is a neat one. Another cool thing is the locking neutrik input jack. I know most of us put the cable through the strap anyway but I still think its cool. Its a nice way to get an ebony board on a much less expensive Les Paul (with neck binding and a cool inlay on the headstock). I think the classic white studios had ebony boards for a while but no binding. I always thought those were cool too. I suspect the darkfire requires a larger battery because it has to power that active EQ as well as the tuners.

After watching this and your vid on the Ibanez Custom Agent, I love the way you talk about these guitars! Definitely getting a sub from me! I have a personal connection to this guitar as she's the first Gibson in my collection! I initially saw this up for sale up on Chicago Music Exchange and I never knew this was a robot guitar, all I saw was a Les Paul in that absolutely killer and unique blue silverburst and I knew I had to get one. It also helped that CME had all the robot shit professionally removed, and someone added a pickguard, when I got it, I changed all the plastics to black and now I have a super unique Les Paul with a cool story :)

My old buddy had a robot in the same colour.. and a Zack Wilde (maple neck). I loved the way the Robot looked, but the Zack wild sounded cooler (pity it was ugly as sin)

If this guitar went sentient, it'd say to you in a geriatric voice "iiii stttayyy .....in tunneee.... better... than... the ... supreme..." 👴 I love this era of guitars though. That guitar alone is such a great mishmash of details: crown inlay, bound ebony fretboard, no binding on the body, chrome truss rod cover. Its just so unique - and not a demo/mod shop creation!!!

I have those pickups in my Les Paul (also blue)...they sound absolutely fantastic in that beauty but the robot tuners are an hilarious piece of Gibson history they shouldn't be allowed to forget 😆.......great video once again Benny and thankyou for the content

I could feel my wrinkles getting age spots waiting for the tuners on that LP to get it together. Very cool looking and sounding guitar - but then, most all Les Pauls sound great and are cool looking :). BTW, nice chops on this video! UDAMAN!!

I am one of the original owners of this guitar. It came out on 12-07-2007 and my serial number is 1207! So it’s a keeper! Need help…. These tuners have little rubber bands to turn the pegs and all 6 of mine have deteriorated over the years. 2 questions: is there a place to buy the rubber bands or is it possible to swap the tuners out to something “better”? Any help would be appreciated! Thx

mr. tank top , call you make a studio tour video , les paul with crown inlay headstock always cool even robot guitar, im fine with robot guitar if work well and reliable , 2007 ,so this les paul is first robot gibson guitar..? darkfire looks work way better(when it working normal) ,quite big improvement , so im dont mind robot guitar if it work well, i know lot of people hate it , but i really hope gibson bold enough try again😁😁 , make it better with today technology , as long as keep making tradition stuffs, im really dont mind try wired stuffs. 2007 such great year, kimi raikkonen got his first and only F1 world championship .

I've heard them mind of their own tuners. Would sometimes detune in middle of songs. That would be scary in front of 10,000 everythings better with some unchained. RR never let's you down.

I have one of these. It tunes faster if you strum every string at once rather than one at a time. It's still extremely slow, just nowhere near AS slow.

Why would Gibson put their name on something like that?
