Metal detecting at the old home site I had no idea what I was going to find. This is also the swimming hole site I have been working for years so you just get used to digging junk, but not this time. Looks like jewelry with a heavy gold color to it and there was three pieces of it in the dirt. Wow ! I was out to do some relic hunting and did not expect that but this places always surprises us with its history. You can always find old coins here mixed in with the modern clad and then there is the relics for this old farm that goes back to the 1700s. A tombac button to boot with some other neat finds made for a great day with the Fisher F19 detecting behind the cellar hole.
