It wasn't originally made to be a compilation of cat videos Original Sample - Palm tree Panic "P" mix by SEGA Made in Audacity : • It's really easy soundcloud.com/tyr4m/that-one...
Palmtree panic past from sonic cd is the actual Song you would be interested in sense this is just a slowed version of that with added lyrics. Honestly the whole sonic cd JP/Eu ost is good
seriously, the first half of うずまき sounds like what your leg falling asleep feels like, then there's a sudden beeping noise, and then this sonic ost soundin banger for a bit, then right back to sounding like what lava tastes like.
This extension, combined with footage of a cat swimming a fair bit away from shore, gives me this rare sense of nosalgia, for a song I never heard until a couple of days ago.
Honestly same. I only found this song because I was listening to Sonic CD remixes. I have no idea why but the swimming cat evokes this weird sense of nostalgia yet uneasiness. It’s like the shore is just a background texture or skybox.
@@LvlGenesis The end is like pretty raw. Where does the cat go, why does the light fade? Does the man want the cat to come back? Should the cat have left anyway? What was all the music for?
So happy to see that there is an extension of this part specifically. I understand that for some it may be a mere song, but for me it's one that holds significance to an important time in my life.
If I had to describe this feeling when this song is played, imagine this. You're relaxing on the beach. You can feel the sand on your back, hear the waves in the background, and know that everything's going to be alright. You're not worrying about anything anymore. You don't have to worry. There is nothing to worry about. Just the sand. Just the waves. Just pure harmony. Just doesn't feel right.......
For me it gives You are sitting in what feels like a void. All around you are vibrant swirling colors. Though you don’t remember ever being here, you feel like this place is where you have been your whole life. You stare into the void as colors start to fade away and reappear, making weird patterns. It’s mesmerizing. You might be there for 5 seconds or a year, you can’t tell. But the next thing you know you wake back up on your bed, at first things look distorted but they slowly turn back to normal as you realize it was all a dream.
And then we have the original version of Machine Girl, which is simply AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWAAAWWWWWWWDEATHDEATHDEATHHELLSCREAMS KILLKILLKILLKILL HELPHELP AS AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWAA
I feel like in うずまき, amongst all the chaotic music, this small exerpt is a short break - it almost feels like a dream. The extension of it is pure serotonin, by the way.
The reason I chose cat videos is because it was the only type of videos I could find on TikTok with the original audio (other than art videos). Which also explains why that Rei cake video is here
ah i love that you actually extended it and not just played it on a loop also i love all the cat videos it fits perfectly im not sure why machinegirl is getting such a huge surge in new listeners but im really glad more ppl are getting into it
I think the new surge in people might be from both joel's ENA series and the song lilith being featured in the trailer for Neon White, but it could just be that music streaming services recommending their music to a bigger audience. idk tho, just my take on it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The other edits suck, they just repeat the same exact pat for for like 2 minutes straight, but this one continues the music which is easy because the song machine girl used is a pretty easy sonic sound track to find. Not to mention after the second “I think I’ll live my life in stereo”, they add the little thingy idk what to call it but it’s at 0:20 BRO ITS PERFECT I WAS HOPPING THAT SOUND WOULD HAPPEN AFTER AHHH
@@maxono1465 palmtree panic, past version, from the japanese ver. ost of Sonic CD machine girl also made a palmtree panic (present) remix iirc. not like that's directly related to your question but
This has given me sad nostalgia from a while ago palm tree panic past was the last song I listened to before hearing one of my family was dead they will be missed
According to the Spotify lyrics of the original song it’s "I think I’ll lose my mind in hysteria, oh" not I think I’ll live my life In stereo So sorry everyone-
Idk why everyone thought it was something bout a stereo like the song was continuously switching from sane to him screaming showing him losing his mind through the song, everyone was mad buggin
why the hell does that clip of a cat swimming perfectly match the vibe of this song also for some reason this song mixed with that clip actually made me feel like it was summer vacation with me swimming at the beach wtf
This is how extended versions should sound like ! When I want to hear this part of the song repeated it always sound so edited instead of like how the song should have sound like . Thanks for this ! It’s really good !
When someone makes extended versions to a song it'll most likely be the section cut up and turned into a loop because a lot of times the section would be originally just be composed for the song and in order to extend it and make it sound like this then they would have to find the right synths drums sound or whatever to compose and arrange a new section. In this case it was a lot easier because machine girl sampled a song from Sonic cd and only used a small section of it
Terrors of Nowhere, ROBLANDER, anyone? Hope ya got a bloodstained teleporter and a big, open map. And please, if you have a stun weapon, use it as little as possible WHEN YOU ARE CAUGHT, else you kill us all, cause the dude is carrying the abnormality "Don't Touch Me".
No the second you said is actually right, I searched up the lyrics of this song and it said: "i think i'll live my live my life in stereo", but idk, i'm soo confused
I love machine girl in general but I also love the vibe that snippet gave me, and you actually replicated it perfectly. Like it isnt just the same five seconds looped its actually extended this is amazing 😭
the main reason why i love this part of the song is that it has a different feeling depending on your emotions when listening. on one end, it can feel super peaceful and happy. but if you arent feeling happy when you decide to listen to it, it can give the complete opposite effect, instead sounding more melancholic. i love when music has this effect, its super interesting to think about how your mood can affect the way a song sounds :)
perfect, thanks! this is like the best of both and exactly the mix i wanted to listen to! its got a bit of groove and the vocals and ... HAKUNE MITSU NO!!!
since I listen to this as a song rather than a video, everytime I open my phone to check on it it feels like I'm greeted with a new video due to the sheer amount of clips in this video. Great work OP!
idk why but that cat swimming is perfect for that jingle. theres a manic anxiety/energy the cat feels about the water but also a delightful immersion into a new chill environment for him. It just all goes together well
I went on a trip to Tokyo last week. It was the first time I've ever gone somewhere so far by myself, so I was nervously excited. I was there to meet a couple of IRL friends as well as an online friend. She and I had been talking online for over two months then, and the moment that we saw each other for the first time face-to-face was absolutely surreal, to say the least. She then served as my companion/tour guide for the rest of the week. She dragged me through her favorite places such as Shibuya, Ikebukuro, and Harajuku. I had never been so happy in my entire life (excuse the corniness). All the while this song was playing on the back of my head because I had looped it so much. (update: we are now dating)
Thank you so much for making this i am being so fr 😭 around a year ago i had to go a party and i ABSOLUTELY HATED IT, but this video managed to keep me sane and ill be forever greatful 💞
the extension is fantastic but i just wanna mention i absolutely love this kitty montage and that you did this instead of some generic anime still background bc it goes so well with this song
The footage of the black cat swimming makes me immeasurably sad in a way i don't quite understand, but it also makes me smile cuz it looks like it's having a good time I've listened to this about a hundred times, thank you
This song is genuinely creepy. I don't even know how to say it's name. This was already a song, so I don't know if it's really extended, they just sampled it and put it in うずまき, but I think what makes it so creepy is that it cuts off all of the crazy sounds for this. So good.
Yes, Machine Girl used a sample of the OST from a Sonic video game, and the original song is not scary, nor creepy, it's quite relaxing ^^ It's called: Palmtree Panic 'P'
Those who like this song should check out the rest of the Sonic CD soundtrack, too. There are so many great bangers on there like this one that it’s unbelievable.
I'll never use Tiktok, but I am so glad more people are being exposed to not only Machine Girl but Sonic CD's euphoria inducing soundtrack. They don't make them like they used to.
now THIS is how u make an extension. Perfect- flows beautifully into the snippet, matches the aesthetic and everything. Pair that with the top tier visuals. Incredible work!
