I play this card in The Mimeoplasm, but it's not quite Cedh level. It's a good dual purpose card, because more often than not opponents will meet the 8 cards in graveyard requirement.

I went to a store to look for this card but was convinced to buy a pack. Pulled it and orims chant which you guys covered earlier. You guys are pretty cool and insightful

It seems like a fun card, could get you more copies of value pieces like rhystic or the one ring also. I don't have a lot of experience in this format but I feel like if your opponent has enough cards in their graveyard to give this both modes, and they're casting a spell that's worth copying, there maybe a momentum difference in their favor that's already happening?

If that’s the case, then this card is probably being used as a counter to stop someone, all the while getting you a value piece on the battlefield imo

Could you copy an imperial seal and make a token thassa’s of an opponent and take the win?

Unfortunately thassas combos do not work copying a demonic consult or tainted pact on the stack because of how the multiple modes resolve in order. Your thassas ETB will always happen before a copied spell. However, if you use it solely as a copy of an opponents thassas and have your own Demonic consult or Tainted pact in hand, you can cast your own in response to the thassas ETB
