Amen, I was an alcoholic, drug user and porn watcher. I finally gave up trying to quit on my own, and cried out to God, begging Him to give me the Holy Spirit. I told God if He doesn’t do something, nothing will change. I said I want the Holy Spirit bc I’ve failed so much and I KNOW I can’t do anything on my own. Well, yesterday I just celebrated 10 mo clean of it all bc God took over and gave me His Holy Spirit. When I got to the end of myself, God could finally work in my life🙏🏼
It took me 4 years as a Christian to stop watching porn, smoking weed, and drinking a bottle of wine a day. Now through the grace of God its just a thing of the past. But during those 3 battles, I remorsed every day, until God gave me the victory. It takes time people. And the battle doesn't end. Now with 10 years I'm trying to turn off any TV show that curses Jesus every episode. Trying to stop exaggerating to make myself look good. Trying to stop worrying and pray when I feel it coming on. The battle never ends but each victory brings us closer to holiness where more and more of His prescene is felt. And for those battling lustful or intrusive thoughts, you can't stop a bird from flying over your head, but you can stop a bird from building a nest on your head. You've got this, you've got a caring Father and He is the Gardner. He will prune you and trim you and kill all the weeds so that you can produce fruit that satan won't snatch away. A tree can take a hunted years to grow, and needs a root system embedded deep into the earth. If you grow too quickly the wind will blow you away. This is a long marathon not a race. No one skips the trials on their way to the throne of God and those who are first will be last.
I’m 15 I was struggling with the sin of lust but I was doing great for a few weeks then I fell into sin last night I watched Porn then felt guilt and repented I don’t ever want to do it again it’s just hard but I know god will never make something so hard to get out of for I love him and Jesus Christ is my lord and savior AMEN!!
Thankyou for this comment I really needed to read this because im trying so hard to stop sinning but times i fail but i keep praying. 😢 Thankyou so much god bless you xx
If there is a SIN you keep falling back to over and over, that is a stronghold! You have to pray and fast, and seek the Lord with all your heart ask him for help he is here to help us all, and to deliver us from our afflictions and iniquities. God is good!
Yes. you can struggle in sin and ask for God for help. because he is our father. Christians need to understand struggling, and just sinning without trying to stop cuz “the blood saves me” is so hypocritical
”But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,“ Titus 3:4-5 ESV ”I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.“ Psalm 119:11 ESV
It's still repentance... we stumble every single day. Some times it takes a while. If we are struggling with an addiction I can have real repentance, even be clean for a week or two and still stumble again. I've been struggling with this for a while. I'm still on my knees praying every single day
@btctrader4lifeSee what you said there? Will "I" be successful at repenting? When it is GOD doing the worm in you? If you rely on your own strength, if you're not truly ready to repent, then the word means nothing to you because there is no faith. Jesus said in John, apart from me you can do nothing.
Real repentance is the power of God, through his Holy Spirit, granting you the grace to turn away from sin. My testimony is that I was addicted to porn. I couldn't stop watching it. I was a truly disturbed and disgusting individual. I won't make any excuse for myself, but, before I was even SAVED, God delivered me from pornography. In ONE night, I stopped doing it forever, after YEARS of trying. Almost 13 years of slavery, stopped in one night. And God can do that for anyone, for anything.
John 3:16. John 6:28-29. John 6:40. Repentance is just turning to Jesus. And Jesus will do all the rest. Just rest in his finished work. Hebrews 4. Enter into Jesus rest. Stay Awesome!
Yes. This is a dangerous message when people try to gate keep repentance. None of us know the heart therefore none of us can judge what is and isn’t “true” repentance. Although we know for a fact that someone can be repentant, in union with Christ, and still do what they hate due to weak flesh. To label that as “well you still do it because you’re not _truly_ repentant is presumptuous, cruel, and can even lead people to stop trying all together or delete themselves.
Yes! The Lord Jesus paid an extraordinary debt that He did not owe, all because we owed a debt that we could NEVER pay; this is the greatest love ever known to this selfish ass world, and I truly love Him for it!
John 3: The Word of God came unto John the Son of Zacharias in the wilderness and he came into all the country about Jordan preaching the baptism of Repentance for the remission of sins; As it is written in the book of Isaiah the Prophet, saying The Voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make his paths straight. Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be be brought low abd the crooked will be made straight and the rough ways shall be made smooth and all flesh shall be made smooth; and All flesh shall see the Salvation of God. Then said he to the Multitude that came forth to be baptized of him O generation of Vipers, who hath warned you of the Wrath to come? Bring forth Fruits worthy of Repentance and begin not to say within yourselves we Have Abraham as our Father: for I say unto you that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. And now is the Ax laid to the root of the Trees: every tree therefore which brings not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire. And the people began to ask him, WHat shall we do then? He answered and said unto them, He that has two coats let him give to him that has none and he that has food let him do likewise. The came also to him publication's to be baptized and said unto him, Master, what shall we do? And He said unto them, Take no more than thay which is appointed unto you and the Soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, and what shall we dol? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falslrry and be content with your wages. The Scriptures specifically show that John is telling them to turn away from their sin and to show forth good fruits toward their neighbor as required of YHWH ELOHIM ADONAI in the Law. He does NOT tell them to change their mind about believing in Christ because they didn't even at that moment know that Christ was the Messiah as they were even asking him if he was at the moment. Going about and seeking out definitions based on the language is causing you to err from the commands of the Word of God which in the Begging the word was with God and was God. I also suggest that read heavily tje Scripture quoted from Isaiah in this passage from Isaiah 40 to 66 because it contains all of what The Messiah is and commands which includes turning from your sins. Changing your mental opinions is nothing but the flesh of mam still trying to justify abd stay in his sin. It is the scripture itself that tells us what Repentance is defined as.
@@Donald_RayAmen. we cant do anything to owe him that. now we walk in faith in repentance. and go live with love like him. We habe to let our flesh die. it is a fight between flesh and spirit
We have to acknowledge that sin isn’t an act, it’s our identity. Repentance simply means to change your mind. Repentance is trusting in our Lord Jesus Christ, developing a relationship with Him and as we walk we learn to love what He loves and to hate what He hates. Repentance doesn’t mean to never sin again. Repentance is my acknowledgment that I need Jesus because I can’t do this for myself.
We are all siners and fall short of the grace of God. You can try to live a clean pure life and turn from sin, but our lord and savior is what redeems us.
I needed to hear this I was able to overcome lust, drugs and video game addictions these past couple months with god, it was so much easier giving them to God than trying to do it myself with God, but I still am struggling with vaping, please pray for this sinner. Ily❤
That's a nice lecture on repentance, it made me think of claiming to know God and repent and say a prayer but not having the mindfulness that God is aware of me and what I do. May God forgive us for our sins grant us what is best in this world grant us what is best in the next and save us from the hellfire.
amen. You cant fool God’s heart. Christians need to understand that yes, Jesus blood saves. But that doesn’t mean to take advantage of him and think a “sorry” then doing what unbelievers do will grant you a spot. Jesus cant give you his blood if you reject him. Jesus is willing to fight your battles. you have to let him do that tho. he is so good to us. Christians need to know God said believers will suffer a worse fate knowing the full extent of his grace and still go back to the vomit. That doesn’t mean u cant struggle in sin. you are most definitely saved. Struggling means, you are trying and have a repentant heart. doesn’t mean to take advantage of the blood and keep sinning because “the blood saves me” argument. The blood is power and it does clears hs from everything but God knows your heart. u cant fool him. its sad christians think they can.
@yes..77 I agree but disagree in the meaning of repentance just means to turn to Christ. Repentance is a changing of mind period. We repent all the time as believers we try to do good when we have the option to do bad. God himself repented in the old testament.
@@akilliezno, God never repented. A holy and perfect God cannot repent because he has no need to. Repentance demands a sinful being in order to be true. I agree in the sense that repentance is not overnight, nor is it an easy task. But, it’s full submission and yielding unto God. It’s falling into his grace and being transformed by the Blood Jesus shed in our place.
The ONLY reason believers argue about this topic is because they've never taken the time to study Biblical Repentance. True repentance involves the mind and heart - the Bible gives us plenty of examples. Also, there's obviously a clear difference between God repenting vs man repenting. If these truths were understood, there would be not more arguing about this. (new video on Biblical Repentance coming soon !!)
Repentence is a change of mind. We are to believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins was buried and rose again the 3rd day by which we are saved, 1 Corinthians 15 1-4kjv.
Thank you! For encouraging me to stop doing sin and how to know that I feel the lord when I confess. I’m trying to stop sin for a long time and thought that God won’t forgive me ever again. But thanks to you! I got my mind set to think my life is back to God again! Keep up the Good work!
Yes! I repent and purpose in my heart to never return to that sin. If necessary burn the bridges or "pluck out the eye".... So to speak!.. Amen. Some hard truth here! 🙏 The steps of a good man is ordered by the Lord. By His grace he'll lead us away from sin. I believe he'll help us do our part.
What you described in the beginning is confession, repentance is the change of mind as it is define in Greek “mettenoia” it’s changing your mind about your sin, turning from it and turning to God

Thank you brother! I know it might not happen overnight, but we are work in progress. If we mean what we say and make conscious effort to to change. Our God is merciful to forgive and give us the grace to make our decisions and desires to come true. May God Almighty help us and take the glory. 🙏❤
Hallelujah!! The Church needs more Real Men as Pastors. No more mixture!! The Truth is what sets us free, not a message that keeps us the same. Well done, Pastor! 💪
Don’t know why but every time I hear this type of message I get tempted HARD to relapse. I’m going to stay strong by the grace of God but this type of message has never helped me quit
I try so hard! LORD forgive me! 😢 I need Prayers for cussing and jealously, I also let my mind think bad thoughts of those who hurt me! Please Pray I can do better 🙏🏻 idk how to stop it, I have gotten better with some of it!
Everytime you have those negative thoughts repent them in Jesus name that's the enemy putting them there and once you give it to God he takes care kf the rest.
Hallelujah 🎉 if anyone needs help, turn to Jesus and give up your sins, “Go and SIN NO MORE” says Jesus. If you stumble understand it is the Devil tempting you, you can make a choice to please God or to give in to your temptation, only Jesus will have the mercy to forgive and guide us. You need to REBUKE satan. Draw close to GOD and the devil will FLEE from you!!!! We all struggle with the same things, stay strong and pray always.

Repentance is knowing that there's nothing under human power that we can offer God in order to come onto salvation! Believing only in the finished work of his son Jesus Christ is our only way and we are lost without him. We've "CHANGED OUR MIND" and have turned away from ourselves and all things of the flesh and only look to him. The "RESULT"of this changing of the mind, which is a work of God and not ourselves, produces "TRUE" repentance on to salvation ❤️❤️❤️ Jesus only guys
It's impossible to never sin again. Repentance is changing one's mind and direction. Before you lived to sin but now you live for Jesus and hate your sin. There is therefore now No condemnation for those in Christ Jesus..He transforms your heart and go from glory to glory. Sinning less and less. No one is perfect
Owhat a wretched man I am. I do the thing i dont want to do and ever things i do i hate. 😭 lord jesus please be Merciful to me and sinner. The only have i sinned against 😱😭💀☠️
It says the righteos fall 7 times and get back up.. Repentance is recognizing its sin and asking god for forgiveness and if you fall you must get up again and keep going and make choices to make sure you dont do it again.
No person can enter heaven based on repentance and obedience to the commandments. The commandments is how you are living sir because it’s based on the activity of your flesh. You’re under the law and no person can be made right with God by the works of the law. The only way a person can be made right with God is believe on the Lord Jesus Christ according to 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. We are saved by grace through faith alone in Christ alone.
Needed this pray for me I’ve been struggling with lust and pornography and I know it’s wrong and I hate it and wanna stop so pray for me thank you for the video needed to hear it
Repentance is an apology. If you slap someone on Saturday, apologize on Sunday, and slap them again on Monday? They are not going to think you are sorry. Follow Christ all seven days of the week. It is the most important thing you will ever do. More important than work, more important than friends, more important than money, more important than food. We can only have one Master.
Repentance is what the prodigal son does when he regrets his decision to leave his father’s house. And the journey home depends on how far you’ve gone. Imagine that. Be encouraged
If you can turn from every sin you’d eventually never sin again and we know that’s not realistic. The biblical meaning of repentance has to mean change of mind.
Correct repentance is a change of mind. We are saved by grace through faith not of ourselves list. Any man should boast the blood of Jesus is what saves us not our works. We are saved for works. We are not saved by works. I have seen so many people brokenhearted because of fundamentalist that believe that works, and all that you can do for your salvation is what saves you.
@@itsjoshbarranco God only forgives if we turn from our wicked ways 2 Chronicles 7:14. It is a change of mind, but how can you say you have changed your mind if you continue in it. If you really changed your mind then you would stop. if you're really sorry then you will stop. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you! It is realistic to say we can stop living in sin because it says so in Romans 6!
@@Jesus123ioasdjfkasjfkjlasdfask so when david sinned over and over and over again with the same sin was he not saved? Was he not considered righteous through his faith in God? And do you no longer sin? I have a hard time believing you stopped all sins don’t lie to yourself.
@@Jesus123ioasdjfkasjfkjlasdfask and in Roman’s 7 when Paul says “”We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do-this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me.“ he was speaking in present tense not past tense he was saying at the moment he was writing this he himself was a slave to sin and that sin is living in him but because of his faith in Christ and new mindset he is considered righteous through his faith in Jesus who paid the fine of our sin. Now I’m not saying you have a licenses to sin but you have grace to stumble and get back up. for though the righteous fall seven times, and they rise again.
repentence means to change your mind from unbelief to belief in the gospel of jesus christ he knows your still going to sin but the day you accept jesus free gift of salvation he remembers your sin no more so you can stand before God Humbled yet confident that he will say well done not because of what you did but because of what Jesus has already done.
Always remember, where there’s remorse and guilt, there’s the Holy Spirit. That means you’re still fighting to be a righteous person. Don’t let this guy detour that.
