Wow, I just realized Vegeta's Technique™ had a character arc of its own, actually dealing damage at the end paralleling Vegeta's own character arc coming to an end in the same saga.
@@LunarWingCloud i still don't get it lol Is it some kind of parallel drawn because the first person to use "Vegeta's technique" wasn't actually vegeta? (Just like Yamcha wasn't the first person to use the Kamehameha)
@@jestfullgremblim8002 In DBZA Goku was saying that cell got all of his techniques from somewhere else and Cell made a point that Goku did too Funny scene and the whole series is great
I remember when Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi came out, it had this little section where it has bios of all the characters who fought throughout the series, and the vegeta's technique thing was so prevalent even in games that Vegeta's bio straight up mentions him being the only one in the character roster to be able to shoot ki blasts 10 consecutive times. Worth mentioning even there it did "0 damage," as literally anything else was more useful in a fight than that. "Vegeta's Technique ™ is a game mechanic that does 0 damage?!" Why yes, that's right.
It was actually incredibly good in tenkaichi because each one went a different direction followed and knocked them down and it came out really fast so it countered dragon rush or whatever they called the rush attacks that bounced off bigger chars
@@sameveland8560 That's only if you charge them up into a big wad. Which makes it something closer to a full blast volley, and that also may be what you're actually talking about. The default ki spam did little to no damage to the point where you'd rather blow their ass away with a beam
Okay I know the meme is that everybody has done a barrage at some point, but let’s be honest, throwing a tantrum and just firing off a bunch of ki blasts in a blind rage is definitely a Vegeta move…
The whole point of this attack is to create a smokescreen and assume the user has won only to be surprised for the millionth time it hasn’t done a thing as the opponent confidently smiles, unharmed.
@@SkylineGuy Don't you remember? Death has no consequence when it comes to Dragon Ball. Be it Heaven or HFIL, there's great Wi-Fi reception, and I can type just fine.
They call this 王子戦法, or "Prince's fighting style" in Japanese. They make fun of him for shooting energy balls, seeing the smoke, and going "Heh, I won" in Japan, too.
You got me. I was expecting the part where Goku uses Vegeta's technique to have him say "I'm using Vegeta's technique", but then you flipped it all on its head and got me. You mastermind.
@@dokkandood Goku using every technique solar flare (Tien) IT (yardrats ) Kamehameha roshi Kaioken king kai Destructo disc krillin Spirit bomb also king kai No original moves
What’s funny is that there’s a number of moves in Xenoverse 2 that are basically “shoot a shitload of ki blasts” and they all have varying degrees of tracking so that they aren’t completely useless, EXCEPT for Vegeta’s version of it that has zero tracking whatsoever.
It could be a Passive Skill in Dokkan. "ATK +100% and performs a critical hit when attacking a Super Type Character. ATK reduced to 0 when attacking an Extreme Type Character"
Honestly Vegeta's biggest problem as a fighter is that all his moves are just martial arts, Ki blasts, and transformations that just buff what he can already do, when most other fighters have options other than just blowing things up, like teleporting regeneration and even the delayed Kamehameha thing Goku does against friza on namek. The only time he tries something else I can remember is he used Kienzan against Gohan to cut his tail, he used those trapping rings once to pin Goku to a wall (pretty cool move he should try more often.) And he may have fired a solar flare at some point? Two out of three times he used them on the good guys and the third time I can't even remember if he actually did, maybe against Dodoria.
Because the move piccolo did was exclusive to the anime meaning it wouldn’t be referenced in the manga, where the “that’s Vegeta’s technique!” Line originated from
Honestly if characters use this kind of attack on someone , you already know that 99.99% of the time it wont do jack shit. (the only exception being future gohan getting owned by the androids afaik)
Yeah it's almost like they're throwing exploding pillows at their opponent. I wish that at least once they showed this technique ripping someone to shreds haha
I want to see backstory of vegeta’s life growing up, and just him using this technique a bunch to get himself out of tough situations and it always working. And so it just reinforces in his brain that it’s a good move to do when he’s backed into a corner. And then you watch DBZ and it just never works.
Quote from the DBZ Manga. “I didn’t hurt him at all. And he used Vegeta’s move. So he learns quickly!” This makes the entire video series 10 times funnier.
even though that technique is ineffective 100% of the time vegeta is shown performing it, i still love it. it’s so distinctly vegeta. dude wants to win, and he wants to win big so he just throws a fuckton of projectiles out in the hopes it’ll turn the guy into swiss cheese but it never happens that way.
I mean, being realistic, that would probably be how someone who is really desperate would want to win. You're backed into a corner, so just spam everything you got and hope it works.
Yeah I agree with the first guy who replied. If I know I'm going to lose I might as well just go crazy and literally throw everything I have at them and keep going until you're spent. You'd think that would actually do something, _anything,_ but in Vegeta's case, it just never does lol
@@kev3851 It's really demoralizing when it doesn't have any effect at all simply because of the fact that you were trying so hard but it's simply shrugged off.
@@markandrew287 Yeah, you'd think it would at least have some effect. Like when Goku did it Cell got really annoyed and actually resorted to using a barrier. I'd be satisfied if I at least really frustrated the guy, cause then you'd know that they actually felt it
@@goatgeta6549 I would but apparently he can fully control Mui now which does make him the strongest... Altho I did stop reading sometime after the Moro Arc so I dont know the latest news on that
...This is peak Archive Humor. The repetition, the editing, the subtitles, the progression across time, it's like a better version of Goku deflecting Freeza's Death Beam into everyone, but even more upgraded. ...I love this. XD
I just watched the buu saga with my son last month. I remember laughing when goku said that buu was using vegetas technique when he started firing multiple ki blasts simultaneously. I was like "uh... ive literally seen every character in dragon ball do that..."
To be fair, It's a decent trick if used in the right situation. It could hypothetically deal some damage to the enemy and confuse them for a moment giving you the right chance to strike. Or it can create a large cloud of smoke, allowing you to sneak attack.
