I always wondered how they were going to do the lightsaber breaking in LEGO seeing how lightsaber hilts in LEGO are a single unbreakable piece. Interesting solution.
@@sungvin its not really, it just sounds weird because unlike the TCS and III this game was not designed with grunts in mind so they just brought it back and hoped no one would care. SKRUBS
A similar yet different concept was proposed even way back during when Return of the Jedi came out. I think it was some comic book based off the movie or maybe just concept art for the movie or something I'm not entirely sure, but either way, before George Lucas came up with the idea for the lightsaber kyber crystals, he proposed that a lightsaber's color was dependent on the person wielding the saber, based upon that person's allegiance in the force, dark or light, so in the scene where Darth Vader activated Luke's Green lightsaber, in his own hands the blade turned Red, only to turn Green again the next time Luke activated it. It's very interesting.
@@13superjedi Thinking on it...it is possible the Japan team had the changing lightsaber idea on their own, but it would be kind of fascinating if they dug through old ideas and decided to utilize one or two. (Edited for clarity)
Yeah, it doesn’t really make sense in canon, but it’s nonetheless a pretty interesting visual. An actual scene like that could work in that one Star Wars: Visions episode with the crystals that change color based on force alignment.
One thing I find cool about this entire game is when they use their communicators. The prop for communicators was just lipstick. In the game they are lipstick as well.

@@birdcar7808 the problem being that up to that point, we'd never seen leia use the force. If we had had a scene with her beforehand (perhaps using the force to get information out of a 1st order spy?), establishing that she had been properly trained in the force, I think people wouldn't have minded as much.
@@birdcar7808 It's been established that force users can perform superhuman levels of physical activities (jumping, enhanced reflexes etc.) nothing of which has been shown to remotely hit towards force users being able to become Mary Poppins.
@@jamesm783 What do you mean? The OT makes a big deal about Leia. “There is another”; “If you will not be turned, then perhaps your sister will”. She literally communicated with Luke via the force in ESB. Leia can use the force, it was established all the way back in the OT. Her powers obviously grew in 30 years.
@@SpectacularSpiderFan Nothing came close to suggesting that Luke (or any Jedi, for that matter) was capable of leaping that high. Closest thing he got to that was a front flip while training.
I love that Holdo is three Powerpuff Girls in this game. Considering the designs of TCW is based on Gendy Tartakovsky's Clone Wars shorts, I feel like this just brings it full circle to make a PPG reference.
Except that the hyperspace explosion was horsesh*t in the original film. Because what exactly would stop them from creating weapons that used the same tactic? Why even use lasers if it would've been easier to create huge dummy ships armed with hyperspace capabilities. And have them "run over" enemy ships by remote control? The problem tho, is that when a ship or object capable of it enters hyperspace, it practically disappears and enters another dimension where the actual space travel takes place. Its the "worm hole" that we see whenever Star Wars ships enter hyperspace. So it doesn't matter how they portray it. Its all still ridiculous.
@@runsoncaffeine considering that was done by someone who chastised someone earlier for betting the survival of the resistence on bad odds? Though given the circumstances, she would have definitely would've definitely gone with another plan "that could actually work". If only someone told her one.
@@sirmalkolm umm bro you need to be mature since you’re going around insulting everyone in the comments section I don’t like the sequel trilogy but I still played it because it’s Lego who cares sorry I insulted your favorite trilogy take your arguments somewhere else
Can we *PLEASE* actually have a fun time with this game without hating on the Sequel Trilogy for five minutes!? If it got annoying with the Prequel Trilogy hate a decade ago, then it’s certainly infuriating now.
This games cutscenes are genuinely really funny (MAYBE SPOILER BUT NOT REALLY BECAUSE THE WHOLE GAME IS FUNNY) The one at the end of the Maul fight in phantom menace had me laughing pretty hard. Also the one with palpatine in the senate room
I just noticed it actually there’s a copyright sign & the word LEGO on Rey’s arm ; always thought they was just LEGO figures but didn’t have that on em in game
That scene also had me Question the new Disney Starwars, how can ship kamakazi through a Super ship, then obliterate an fleet behind it?? Makes 0sence to me but the lightsaber pulling apart was Good
I mean, to be fair to the hyperdrive kamikaze, that would send a fuckton of debris from both ships toward the rest of the fleet at light speed. Don't need a lot of mass at that velocity
1) It existed in sci-fi before. It's called an RKKV (Relativistic Kinetic Kill Vehicle). 2) I'm guessing it's considered a dirty tactic for the same reason clusterbombs are frowned upon in real life: unforeseeable casualties.
i kinda wish they did the lore acurate ship collion where it hyper spaces into the massive one and the smaller ship just explodes in front of it. everyone just face palms. to get the destruction the movie needs it could surprise a officer who spills coffee on the self destruct button
What should have happened was the lightsaber flying over to reveal Luke catching it , then he puts it on his pocket and walks away. After Luke is gone ray pulls out another lightsaber.
