Foreign Aid isn’t about supporting the countries population, it’s about using taxpayers money to buy favours from other more mailable governments. Special concessions, special rights, all about making money!

Nobody begrudges giving sensible amounts of Aid to Countries that actually need it like Humanitarian crisis. But when your own Country the UK is going right down the Toilet and people here are suffering,then the Aid needs to be spent here especally when Aid is being spent on wasteful things.
Uhm...thats. not. how. things work when you are an island nation. You do not balance power by turning internally as an...island nation. As you know, things do kick off. And when they do, you will need "friends". They will need you.
You can guarantee politicians will be raking it in . Some of this foreign aid will end up in politicians back pockets. Money should spent at home . Plenty of people need help here which they are getting

We send foreign aid to countries who have a space program and nuclear weapon systems. Does the UK get any money aid from other countries. Example, when the floods happen near (I think in ) Boscombe Down, did we receive any outside help or funding. However if the is a disaster somewhere we send buckets of money and personnel to assist.
Insane government policy. We are technically broke in deficit and borrowing. We have eye watering interest payments. But we fund other countries who clearly do not need it. We are mad.

Why dont we put the aid budget to proper infrastructure eg desalination water plants in sudan, ethiopia not just for clean water but for irrigation and food. They can become self sufficient. Thats true aid.
People need to start asking their government for documents and finding out where all of this money is going. You, as a citizen, have a right to know how your money is being spent. People need to start inquiring for documents.

If all western countries stopped this transfer of weslth and spent it in their own countries we would as a planet be much better off and it all has a knock on effect And helps all involved
Personally I have no problem our tax money going to helping out countries if they are hit by a natural disaster. We simply shouldn't give our TAX money away when we have our own problems
