The did multiple takes for the commercial and strung them together. They did the performance multiple times and showed the best reactions/takes in the final commercial.

Whoa! I loved this version of the T-mobile "welcome home" because it shows the whole progress of the well-planned event seamlessly from a non-professional by-stander perspective. Thank you for sharing this!

A spectator's perspective? There more staged performers than legitimate spectators. It was a neat production, but Hollywood / tv land are fake. I guess I'll take their word for it that it was at the airport instead of a sound stage with green screen.
