@@travisrich2486 he cheated. On one of the Dale Jr. podcasts, Jr. talked about putting nitrous on one of his cars and Sr. found out about it and chewed Jr's. ass about it. The guest being interviewed said that Sr. had used nitrous on his cars in the past.
@therealRustyShackleford I own two mid 90's NASCAR SPEC MOTORS FROM TWO Opposite teams and I will say both have the nitrous hook ups on them! At Talladega it was known to use nitrous in qualifying to get the cars up to rpm to maintain speed in the corners then tech would come and collect all the msd nitrous kit chips and if you got caught with one you were suspended indefinitely and banned in the sport of auto racing all together! I have one engine on a dyno setup and another in a 51 ford pickup set to original Nascar spec woth a higher tranny setup and gears

Reading about their story and history together is pretty interesting and worth knowing if youre a fan. JR is pretty much responsible for Martin's career. These days, they own a bunch of land with a beautiful hunting cabin that they share. They take a week or two each year and to go hunt there together. Pretty cool

@@conanmcclanahan1069 It’s not as common thanks to NASCAR starting to limit the amount of engines the teams can run in a season. And the reason this happened on the Gen 6/Gen 5/COT was due to it destroying the quarter panels and it would reset the rear end to be within spec when the teams would jack the car up to put new tires on.

To be fair, i respect jimmies accomplishments but don't like him, but i feel he was as surprised by what knaus was telling him as nascar and we were. Go back and watch the clip. Jimmie had no idea.

Maybe stop all the after race BS. Mark Martin saved his car and wouldn't even do a burn out after a win. I've watched teams push the nose of the car in to the wall and then smoke the tires crushing the nose, back into walls doing donuts, blow tires off shredding quarter panels, red lining a motor until it explodes. For all the money they cry about sure seems funny wrecking or blowing up your race winning car.
OMG I won!! So let's trash the car just for fun... sure. I can't think of any other reason to do that to the car right before it goes to post race inspection...
He was. The concussions he sustained were really taking a toll on his physical and mental health. I miss watching him race but I’m glad he got out of that car on his own terms

I like ol school..like Jeff Burton said, act like you've won before. Blaney is old school. One owner said after a burnout and body damage, that was a $20,000 burnout not counting the over time the body shop had to rework.
Oh ofc. Hendrick is the most successful team so when they cheat it means they do it all the time, when others get caught it’s like Aw well that sucks they just barely crossed the line. People like to say nascar favors Hendricks but that was never true at all. They’ve been fined penalized countless times. They’ve been screwed by bad calls as well from nascar. But no one ever looks at those moments only the times they got the good end of it
I remember when JGR drivers took magnets and put them on the back of their gas pedal so the cars wouldn't show their actual horsepower. That is as blatant and everyone-in-on-it as it gets.

@@swirledworld340 by messing with the height and shape of the roof you can push the air up and over rear spoiler this reducing drag. On a high speed track like Dayton that can make a massive difference. Also I’m sure you can find footage on RU-vid of him pulling into victory Lane.
@@swirledworld340 yes because if it’s damaged, you can’t accurately check it. Same reason you guys blow the tires in the burn out so it will rip the fenders up. Some guys have even crash their car I forget if it was Jeff Gordon, or Jimmy Johnson smash the rear end into a wall doing a burnout.
I remember when Mark Martin break checked someone and got rear ended and the backside of his car was destroyed . It was a rocket after that and he went on to win the race
Sounds like the NASCAR after-race inspection is at odds with fan experience of seeing the drivers excited after winning, otherwise they wouldn't allow them to jump up on the car and stomp around.
Yep, there's a reason why every single time certain teams would win they'd do things to the cars that make them unable to fail post race tech, some of that is probably trying to hide things that may be illegal and I think in some other cases it may just be trying to make sure there's no way they fail post race tech because NASCAR can be stupid sometimes, but it always speaks volumes when a team doesn't do a destructive burnout or no burnout at all after a win because it means they probably aren't cheating, or at least not in the rear of the car.
I was at a Bristol race and after Dale Jr spun out, he went on the radio and said that that was the first time he had to spin out on purpose. Result, he was fined!
Kinda reminds me of the old days when the guys who won would get on the roof of the car in the winners circle and stomp the roof down so they couldn’t get an accurate measurement of the car height post race. Remember for awhile they had the white pvc cage to remind drivers not to get on the roof?? Damn I’m getting old!😆
This is why the SRX series now and the IROC series of years past is the best form of racing. Everybody gets the same adjustments and the engines and chassis are all built by the sanctioning body. You would have to be an idiot to believe there isn’t cheating in today’s NASCAR, especially when you consider the car makers competition with one another.?Toyota Trd has so much money in the sport that NASCAR turns a blind eye to obvious cheating when it comes to engine horsepower and aerodynamics.
This comment hasn’t aged well. Lol Blaney has taken a couple of MONSTER hits this yr. The man just survived the Earnhardt death crash situation and walked away. He’s a driver for sure but these wrecks are going to catch up to him and cut his career short.

Maybe a change is needed on top of the box to have strategy to keep him closer to the front consistently . There is a difference between cheating and pushing the rules all the way to the boundary. If you don’t push the rules of the boundary, then why would you even compete because everybody else is. Just saying.
In F1 if you run out of fuel after the race, you get disqualified as they can't do a fuel test. You have to have 1 liter (2 pints) of fuel left in the tank for testing.
Not say this is the case here but, drivers don't build the cars. They drive them, relay information and their experiences to the team chief. And of course, Builders do things to the car that the driver is never aware of.
Like when dale Jr. Won the July Daytona race back in 2001! HIM AND MICHAEL WALTRIP WERE ON THE ROOF OF THE CAR! Then he puts the nose up against the turn 4 wall & blows the tires! Yeah .. lots of cheating by all! It's what makes it fun!

Fill me in, I quit watching NASCAR a while ago. Is he saying that they do burnouts that blow the tires on purpose to destroy the wheel well and hide potentially shady setups?
the gen6 had no ride height rule, so if you can get the spoiler out of the air an extra 2 inches? you lose tons of rear downforce and the balance of the aero gets thrown off entirely. larsons team in '17 and '18 were "supposedly" re-routing extra brake hoses to create vaccuum under the front end. essentially creating massive amounts of downforce competely illegally. if i had to guess? good teams were running more than half the rear ride height they should have. if you can shift the axle over, if you can use illegal parts to run more skew, you will find your pace you lost mid corner with lower rear ride height. harvick and stewart haas in 18 at vegas purposely allowed a safety bar in the rear windshield to break so that the air pressure would suck the rear windshield in to the cockpit to shave drag off of the car going in a straightline. essentially blowing the rear out was the most important thing to do after winning a race from 2013-2021. the gen6 had a lot of underbody performance that no one knows about right now, but we'll learn more in the future. fun fact, gordon in the early 2000s was running traction control at martinsville!
@PowerMagika that doesn't explain why they were trying to damage the wheel wells. If there was no ride height limit then who cares? I know teams started to stagger the rear axle as it wasnt illegal but if i remember right nascar eventually made it illegal but blowing out the wheel wells isnt going to hide that. Maybe a fishtail into the wall on the right rear quarter panel.

@@bradsanders407 The rear axle being staggered was illegal, that's why during the 2016-2018 seasons, theyd weave under the final lap before pit after the race was over. they couldn't see it in tech because they shook it back into place.
For some1 that dosent follow Nascar but knows the importance of preventing tyre degragation under a race whats the issue here. Are they trying to stop the cars from doing burnouts as they exit the pit or what are they banning here. U get the temp up faster in the tyre but your gonna need to change it earlier aswell.
They are exploding their tires after races to intentionally inflict damage on the sheet metal so they can make it through post race inspection. They blame any illegal findings on the celebration damage.
I don’t know much about this stuff. Can someone explain? Is he just saying the winner goes and does burnouts at the end so he can tear up the back of the car, because they made it somehow “illegal” and if so, how does that work?
The rear suspension of the car has limits in the rule book dictating things like "it has to point straight ahead" but since the cars only turn left it might make some sense to angle the axle to help left turns. Well if they are out of spec the post race tech will find it. When tires pop they are very violent and can bend things, or the teams simply "only put new tires on it" but adjust the rear axle at the same time back to in spec. That or body panels that are "adjusted" after pre race tech for better downforce or less drag, the tires damage the body panels so they can't prove they were modified during the race. Also the brand new cars are way more spec cars than ever before. Even the body is the same body across each manufacturer they just slap their grill and headlight stickers on to make it a "mustang" or "camry" so any deviations of the body or suspension would be even more beneficial. Its supposed to make the cars more even and make it the driver and team strategy that win, but someone's always going to have a downright faster car even when they aren't supposed to.
So at what point do we say enough is enough Jr. ? NASCAR is handing out $100,000 fines like that candy and yet we hear that the bun out is okay. One of the most respected voices of an era spoke out against it I think it would go a long way if you were to do the same. Cheating and destroying cars in the name of pleasing a few fans is not the way to build integrity in the sport is it? Or are you going to hide behind some lame excuse like NASCAR executives have?
Hell, at our local track, if you ain't cheating, you ain't trying! From triple piston single cam shocks to traction controllers built into the msd with tranny mod inside the casting to the 4 way coil overs that only have one way switch to complete push button right rear brake shutoff. None of this is on my car nor my other cars, but i can say top 5 in any direction north is spending thousands of dollars each week to win $600-$1000! Oh and tire SOAK IT FROWNES UPON BUT GREY AREA SO EVERYONE DOES IT AT $900 A SET FOR CHINESE RUBBER! THEY DON'T LIKE IT BUT THEY allow it!
