Explanation for those who don't get it: The anime itself spoil their watchers. Rimuru haven't summoned Diablo yet. Rimuru will summon Diablo on next arc, which will be the first arc of season 2. Also, in the last episode of season 1 Diablo said "You finally summoned me and my own family got ahead of me". Meaning, when Rimuru was summoning a demon for the golem of Ramiris he was supposed to summon Diablo but someone else in his family beat him to it. That demon(I will not mention his name because it will be a spoiler) is now controlling the golem while Diablo stay in the demon realm waiting for Rimuru to summon him again.

Shizu does not have a demon in her, She has a spirit in her.

Those two at the beginning are silver wings, they were adventurers like Shizu who got tricked by that Ortheo, so they summoned Diablo for revenge

In the last episode Rimuru summoned a demon which was beneath Kuro. Kuro is then shown expressing regret that he missed a chance to be summoned. At the end of this episode they openly tell you that Rimuru summons Kuro later and grants him the name Diablo. I don't want to say more but notice that a poster for season 2 shows Rimuru wearing black clothes.

Diablo is one of the oldest demons, and has become so strong he's almost bored with existence. That's why he's so fascinated with Rimuru and the mask. He finally has something to be excited about. Also, demons typically need supplied with magicules (or souls) to stay in the world. It was skipped in the anime but in the light novel, Rimuru paid the demon in the gollum with his own magicules for payment in their contract. And thats why Diablo mentioned early in this episode that their "payment" was only enough for 3 days.

Diablon is going to be summoned in season 2 the one who Rimuru summoned was one of the black family so Diablo subordinate, that's why he was so annoyed.

Kuro a nicknake is for the Black Progenitor (more or less Demon Gods) who is also called Noir. Rimuru will eventually successfully summon him and name him Diablo. As Black Filter noted Rimuru almost summoned Black/Kuro/Noir for Ramiris's golem but another member of his family got ahead of him, so either Red/Rouge or White/Blanc. Also Kuro noted Archdemon Orthus & his minions' powers were born of the Red Progenitor's.

Diablo is the "Black Progenitor", btw there's also a Red progenitor, by what I understood the those progenitors are the ones that create demons and the Black progenitor doesn't have a name, he gets one from rimuru, tho I'm not completely sure

The demon Diablo was mentioning last episode was Beretta, the demon that inhabited the golem that Rimuru gave to Ramiris. It is kind of messed up because they have a lot of air time and they did not even introduced Beretta. That is why last episode Diablo said that it is a horrible blunder that his own kind got ahead of him.

Tbh when I watched kimchi's reaction to Mob Psycho 100 ep 11, he didn't seem as motivated :/ Considering it was legit the most hype episode in the series... Is there something wrong? Rimuru summoned a different high class demon in the labyrinth to guard the spirit queen. The anime condensed it and shows only that he summoned some kind of great demon but it is not Diablo. That's why Diablo said at the end "What a blunder, you've finally summoned me and my family got ahead of me, next time without a doubt"

why did you cut the part where shizu talked about the progenitor ? black is one of them and without that explanation it is not clear

when rimuru summoned the demon in the labyrinth, another demon responded to the summon before diablo could and that's what diablo scene at the end of that episode meant and here you missed it but one of the progenitor is called noir which is french for black, and kuro is japanese for black so diablo was a progenitor all a long and rimuru when he summons diablo will be so much more powerful than diablo is, because you can only name beings that are weaker than you

The demon Rimuru summoned is another demon with nothing to do with Diablo. You have seen Diablo (actualy "Noir" (black) at that point)during the spirith summoning for the children, right after Chloe got possessed by "something/one from the futur", he was planning to use the summon to enter the material world, but the "futur creature" bit him to it.

After watching this episode, for some odd reason, I made up a theory while showering: THE MASK is from THE FUTURE!! My theory is that the little girl, chloe, is The Hero!!! She gave the mask to Shizu because rimuru gave it to her!!! And already knew of her!!! The Hero mysteriously disappeared....maybe when the girl was summoned???? Someone please take me down😤

When diablo said that Rimuru summon him, he meant that HE is the one who SHOULD BE summon instead of beretta(in the 23 ep) but beretta take rimuru's call faster than diablo so that is what he meant

I have a theory. When the anime calls him Diablo, I don't think that's his name. In the episode they actually say what he is, one of the demon progenitors known only by a color - in Diablo's case he's known as 'black', thus why he's called 'Kuro' as an imitation name. I think that when Rimuru summons him, he'll eventually give Kuro the name 'Diablo'.

Summary points of this episode; 1) Introduce 3 progenitors Demon characters who are referred to as Rouge (Red), Blanc (White) and Noir (Kuro/Black), they are the top supreme in the DEMON Realm. 2) Kuro encountered the Mask that compresses infinite time and surpasses time, which intrigues his interest of whom power was it from that have the power to cause his pain with his arm gone. 3) Learn the ranks of those DEMON type species, who live in DEMON Realm unless being summoned to the living world. 4) DEMON gain power by killing powerful adventurers/people. 5) Orthos, was a descendant of Rouge, who gained his own name, which he referred that just like that Supreme being who reigns at the top, he is referring to Rouge here who also manages to get his own name a long time ago. 6) This whole event took place when Shizu is still an adventurer before she becomes a teacher, which is at least 50 years ago before she meets Rimuru later on. Which is why you see Kuro holding the crystal ball showing Rimuru's fight with Ifrit. 7) Kuro has been keeping an eye on the Mask until the Mask cracked (during the Ifrit break free), he knew he found the guy/slime responsible for the power of the mask. 8) Kuro has been waiting for all these years to meet Rimuru in person which is why in the previous episode, when Rimuru summoned a Demon for the new Golem for Ramiris. He mentioned that he made a blunder that his family got ahead of him, he is referring to the Demon under him went to Rimuru's summon before him. Timeline reference to the Mask with shown information by past episodes; 1) Hero Meet Shizu, later passed Mask to Shizu. 2) Mask cracked, seal power on the mask is broken, Ifrit breaks free and took over Shizu's body. 3) Mask passed on to Rimuru and We get to know the Mask can seal Magic Molecules. 4) Mask was fixed by Rimuru. 5) Mask passed to Chole 6) . . . Last) Assume the Mask somehow goes back in time and passed to the Hero, start with 1 again for infinite time loop. Reading the manga is a great way to cover some of the miss out details from the anime, unless you got more time, can try to go read the LN as well for more details up to vol.4 or just check it out for the info data on Rimuru's current status, to have an overview of what skills he has and his current power level. When reading the LN, you can just do speed reading and stop at parts where the information is not mentioned or different in the anime or manga. Or after you have done the manga, while waiting for season 2 you can also try to rewatch the season and see if you find some information that you might previously miss out or some things that make a better sense to you now and let you see some things in a new light.

Diablo is the name of the demon that Rimuru placed in the Golem for the replacement... however, it was probably an incomplete summon (my guess). The manga was a lot more clear on this.
