I don't know if this kind of isekai already exists, but it's a genius concept: a more psychological take, where the normal isekai protagonist dies and is sent to a world where they are no more powerful than they were on Earth; no magical powers or modern insights, and just have to deal with feeling inferior and grow from that by choosing their own path in life. I love the line: "I don't want to be the victim. Let me be the savior," because it gives you that sense of wanting more and going and getting it yourself. Great song as always.

Well then, have a recommendation. It's called "It's Sudden, But I Came To Another World! But I Hope To Live Safely". Don't be fooled by the title. The MC solely relies on his understanding and knowledge. He has 0 powers and was not born of aristocracy. He spawns in the world in a dangerous forest with no family and no name. He is really weak so he has to rely on people. He doesnt get any powers at all throughout the series, and he had to increase his reputation from the ground up and enemies just get stronger and stronger. It's a bit of a harem tho, but its not "that" kind of harem. i hope that more kinds of isekai like these exists, most of the isekais are tasteless reboots of the same stuff nowadays. For such a brilliant genre the stories are weak. (sory for long post)

I'm writing a story where this is the case. Sarah Bailey appears in the Afterworld, a world where magic and anomalies create things like nuclear volcanoes, glowing oceans of blood and a living, sentient IRS office (and much more). Magic in the air prevents electric devices from working, and makes fossil fuels and gunpowder randomly explode, so most Earth tech isn't applicable. Everything appears in this world upon death, from the biggest blue whale to the smallest bacterium. Things appear as deep underground as possible without being somewhere they can't breathe, and at the same coordinates of the Afterworld as they were on Earth (how far North, South, East and West they are -> things that die in the UK go to the same place as other things that die in the UK, opposite side of the Afterworld to those that die in Australia). As their corpses, or perhaps copies of their corpses, appear, they are healed of all harm and resurrected. Biology, including reproduction, death, physical needs like food, aging etc continue applying. The Afterworld's own lifeforms and species, many of which have integrated magic and anomalies into their biology, are descended from the lifeforms of Earth, including some that went extinct on Earth long ago (ie; dinosaurs), even if they passage of millions of years of evolution has made them completely unrecognisable. Some of this wildlife can be described as seeming to have been raised on nothing but meth, steroids and nightmare fuel. Understomachs are massive underground creatures, spanning the undergrounds of whole countries and being 90%+ just stomach, who fill their stomachs with breathable air so that things from Earth appear inside of them, above oceans of stomach acids. They're a big part of why very few Otherworlders live particularly long, but aren't the only reason why as nature in the Afterworld is harsh and brutal, plus your average city-dwelling Earthling human isn't exactly knowledgeable in wilderness survival. Understomachs are not the only species specialised in consuming things from Earth, if you're not in an Understomach there's probably some kind of predator nearby that's been waiting for prey to appear, in fact whole otherwise-impossible ecosystems are built off nomming things from Earth shortly after they appear. Earthling humans get a mixed, but usually negative, reception from the humans of the Afterworld, who've been there so many generations that they too have evolved, diverging into many types of human with different traits and abilities, and developed their own cultures and identities. Most Afterworlders either don't even know Otherworlders exist or have weird beliefs about them, because Otherworlder survival rates are low and those that do survive and join Afterworlder societies usually aren't in a rush to reveal that they're from Earth, especially if it means exposing themselves to xenophobia. Anyway Sarah's only real advantages is that as a kid was in youth scouts, so she has some wilderness survival competence, and was on track to study engineering before falling into an extreme depression due to her lil brother's death. She's also quite paranoid, and *extremely* clever, but not some mega-genius, I'd say comparable to Armin from AOT. Socially quite incompetent, and more afraid of talking to people than being chased by monsters.

HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THIS EXISTED, GAH!! This genuinely is one of my most ultra favorite songs ever, and Nyansai's animation just BLOWS me away. Feeling blessed to know I can now have a beautiful music video to enjoy. (But also forever embarrassed I've been a Ko-Fi supporter for a good bit now and didn't notice this was a video rather than artwork.)

The first half of this song brought back so many memories of the Tsundere song, I listened to that so much while playing Dragons Dogma. The thing that I find the most impressive about this song is how long it is. The instrumental parts don't feel "stretched", just perfect fitting. This is difficult to achieve and all the more commendable as the average song length these days is approaching 3:00 minutes.

I think I found my anthem. Tho I will say, even if I was isekai'd to another world without any special powers or abilities, it would still be a fresh start none the less and I would easily be more determined to become something more than I was in the previous life. As the saying goes "Life isn't determined by the cards you are dealt but how you play your hand".

Funfact, they often end up like that because on the blog sites that upload light novel stories, there wasn't anyway to add tags so they had to basically put genre/story tags in the title so they could come up in searches

So first ever comment but I just found this after listening to the song quite a lot on Spotify. Big fan of the song and the visuals for this are amazing. It’s kind of funny, I’m not a massively artistic person but I’ve got a visual imagination and it’s quite interesting how much of what went through my head was the same or similar to what was depicted. Even wrote some of it down and thought about sharing it but don’t really have the confidence in doing so. Just goes to show how vivid the song is I suppose. Thanks again to musician and artist, great work all round.

If I went with my confidence, you might have never heard this song - because I never would have started writing music. Your thoughts, creations, ideas, and everything that you are - are all worth sharing. Especially that last one. You. Regardless of how people receive a good idea- the idea is still good.
