Okay this is a long one but I think it’s worth it cause I love seeing her try to trouble shoot this but also bonus @monkeydogdelmer cameo! #aic #fluentpet #talkingdog
I had problems with this, our house was a shop conversion and very long, it was also on top of a hill (very windy) so the weather was patchy. The first two times our young cat got me to open different doors we went from light showers to bluish skies… Let’s just say there was a lot of trekking to and fro. It’s always worth trying a second door! 😂
I commiserate with Parker not being able to go outside when she would like out into dry weather. I had a cat and he would take me to each window and door and demanded that I open them for him. He was sorely disappointed as there was never a window or door to sunshine which is what he wanted. I had to console him with treats, play and a warming cuddle with a blanket and even then he was disgruntled. I wished I could have done as he wished. Bless Parker. Thank you. May you all please take care and stay safe. Louisa. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩
I’m not sure something like that would stand up with wind but she also doesn’t seem to like standing under umbrellas. If I carry one she is very suspicious of it.
You know Parker better than any of us, of course. But I do wonder if things like "snow" might sometimes mean not so much "MAKE IT SNOW, MOM!" as "I wish it would snow instead" or "Do you think it might turn into snow soon?" I love the request for a sweater: "Yes it's raining, yes it's cold, but if you found me the right sweater, we could go outside anyway!"
Oh totally. It’s definitely possible she’s just expressing that she wish it would snow. That’s sort of how I took it. And why I explained that unfortunately I can’t do anything about it (whether she believes I could or not).
One time we had a really bad thunderstorm and it had rained for hours and our dog had to go outside and she didn’t want to so I got some newspaper a lot of it and I told her it was OK to relieve herself on the newspaper and then I mopped the floor. We didn’t have any wax paper at the time we had run out.
