From what I understand there's going to be an entire album of kellyoke full versions. Both this and Queen of the night have already been released. She's not doing any press or anything this summer or anything at all besides being with her children so I'm not sure if it's going to come out over the summer because it just was finished and then she has a studio album that's coming out too but it's taking her a long time she said to figure out how to put her life into words but this comes from the perspective of a grown woman who has had their heart shredded a few times and then has someone who treats you like crud again and you're just pissed I personally care for Billies writing but not singing. Having been taught to sing her complete lack of diction drives me insane Kelly is the first time I've understood the words to this song but they're definitely two very different perspectives a teen girl who had a crappy boyfriend or a grown woman who has been through a freaking lot. And people can disagree with me if they like but there is absolutely no way her voices even remotely ever going to be like Kelly's. There's no way anyone else's voice is Kelly's you pointed out there's actual anger here and interestingly enough in the video where Kelly is actually screaming in this version not even screaming belting is the proper word in the video billies part it's inaudible screaming it says it on the screen. So it's not a belt it's not a musical talent for her it literally was just faked Kelly literally blew her lungs out even though I shouldn't say that because it's literally effortless
Vocally this is just EVERYTHING i do not get billie eilish type of whispering anyway. Kelly clarkson is sANGin’ The 2 arent even comparable or even in the same class vocally

Billie Eilish version is the teenager that had her first break-up, while Kelly's version is the scorned woman that had enough and decided to tell her partner she had enough. I prefer Kelly's version: she took Billie lyrics and added more emotion to it.
The thing about the Kellyoke segments on her show is she has rehearsal and not a lot of time to play around with styles and rhythm, but when she's in a booth, she has the chance to really dig into different vocal styles, tones, and rhythms until she finds what fits her and her voice best. Next thing you know, she breaks your heart with this phenomenal cover of Billy's Happier Than Ever.
