React to I'd Rather Go Blind by Joe and Beth . It is an Etta James cover. When she performs solo, i think she is more blues/ rock. I've seen her do Black Dog.
Beth is an industry legend. Any live performances are iconic. I suggest you check out some of her originals songs like Caught Out in the Rain live at Royal Albert Hall and Am I the One live at Paradiso...both written by Beth...just for starters. New sub...great reaction!
Beth Hart is a wonder. Listen to her "Leave the Light On", it's an autobiographical song that will give you an idea of her incredibly difficult life, drug use, psych wards, depression, bipolar disease and her rise above it. Unbelievable story and unbelievable talent.
Maria, Wow, Wow, & Wow!!!!!! I'm so glad you enjoyed this amazing performance by Beth & Joe. The people at this concert were treated, and was witness to an amazing show of breathtaking vocals from Beth, and Phenomenal guitar playing from Joe. Also a big shout out to the band!!!!!!. When he plays, he feels every note from the instrument, his guitar is truly a part of him. And can we talk about Beth, Oh yea! she feels every part of a song she sings, to her very soul!!!! I must say, you nailed it, about Janis Joplin sneaking in there a little bit in her vocal in this song. Even though it was a glimpse of it in this song, it was amazing to hear. People have said she can be the closest to Janis they have ever heard, but still it's Beth through and through. Beth & Joe work together just like peanut butter & Jelly, it's an amazing collaboration every time. There album they did together, "Black Coffee" and with an amazing group of musicians, was just such ear candy to experience. I will send you the link of them in the studio talking about there time in the studio working on the album, very cool to see. More to come!!!!!!! Thanks so much for the amazing reaction, Maria!!!!! God Bless, Peace & Love, Thomas & The Kitty's from Indiana
From the moment I saw Beth's first video, I knew she was divine. Her pieces :"Am I the one" ( live at Paradiso Amsterdam) "Mama this one's for you" and the beautiful "I'd rather go blind" (in Amsterdam) are really crazy for the strength the first, the tenderness the second and the anger despair and sweetness of the last, are a panorama of her ability to immerse herself in the characters, and make them live to everyone who sees and listens to her. . She is a true amazing voice, her hands on the keys of the piano or on the strings of a guitar are MUSIC.Her soul is full of color and she conveys to the audience and, love, pain of memories, fear of having to stop and start again, hope and gratitude. Those who love Beth have understood everything about her and want to see and hear her sing. Love Beth ...From Italy.Roma.
Thing about Beth is shes almost completely a different person from early in her career (except that massive talent). When she was younger she reminded me a lot of Janis Joplin. With a lot of the same problems. Difference is Janis lost that battle before she reached her full potential and Beth survived to find hers. And Joe is without a doubt one of the greatest blues guitarists. Living or not, past or present. People like BB King said as much. Great reaction!
Maria, glad you discovered JB. If he is new to you you'll find that he has enough music to keep you busy for a few years. All of it is good. This is FYI; Joe was opening shows for BB King when he was 13. His keyboard player is Reese Wynans. He is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame . He was Stevie Ray Vaughan's keyboard player. You need to listen to Mountain Climbing.
Please, oh please .. if you liked this song, then do yourself and all your subscribers a favor, and react to Joe and Beth’s version of “I’d Rather Go Blind” live in Amsterdam. It will literally blow you away. I promise.!
WLHY AM I REACTING: You haven't heard Joe sing yet. He's an excellent vocalist too. You need to hear him on something like Redemption to hear his great vocals, too.
