I have recently bought your Quick and Easy Gluten Free Book. Ive been diagnosed with IBS and Diverticulitus and my GP has advise me to follow the FODMAP and im finding it so hard at the moment navigating the whole Gluten Free thing. But after looking through book it has given me hope that i can get through this.
Love the vlogs Becky, as someone who suffers with both gluten and dairy free intolerances I struggle with finding restaurants and shops that can cater for both. There definitely needs to be a huge improvement in both areas. I'd say the UK is probably better equipped than Ireland than this as I had literally only one option for dinner and dessert when eating out recently.
Yes I think the UK is better equipped I have never been to Ireland but I live in London and I also have a gluten intolerance and I am lactose intolerant as well and there are a lot of gluten free dairy free restaurants out there like Pizza express and Zizzi and Nando's.
Gluten free does help a lot, it's just that they charge at least twice as much for the GF option. Friendships are very difficult because I don't want to feel like a burden because of suffering from chronic pain. The support of a partner would make a world of difference and I really hope I can find someone who can be understanding of IBS and the way it affects mood and energy. I saw your cookbook in Sainsbury's and I hope it was a success.
It's so nice to see another video. I love watching traveling gluten-free videos and grocery shopping. Are there certain brands you prefer over others? Back home in the US I used to buy Udi's bread. The closest I've found here is Schar. Most brands here we don't have. Are there brands of certain foods you prefer over others and why? Mental health and friendship are things I would love to also hear about.
Lovely to see you, Mark and Peggy back. I for one would be really interested in a mental health video. I support my partner who has mh issues and they are still very misunderstood by some.
