Everything was going so well up until it wasnt. Luckily it’s not a busy road and nobody and nothing was hurt. It’s a good thing I had the toolbar unfolded because that’s what kept the rear frame from going all the way to the ground. Honestly probably what kept any pivot parts from breaking.

Really thankful that you weren’t hurt Ethan and glad that your equipment wasn’t damaged. Dad and I have a few stories like this from the 1980’s. We just got back up and put things together just like you did. You are a good planner and also good at adapting when thrown a curve ball. Thanks again for sharing your experience with us.

I look at the bright side. It happened on the road, where you had solid ground, instead of the field. Also, you had spare bolts to put on the wheel. The 4 wheel drive seems to be a great tractor to use with the tool bar and tank. It was a great video overall. I sure didn't see the wheel falling off coming. Really glad nothing serious broke on the tractor, tool bar, or the tank cart. Take care and I'll see you later.

You mentioned screens on each of your rows. My old setup on my planer had that. It tended to cause uneven distribution as well as even a little sludge would mess with flow. What I did is remove all screens downstream of the visagage and put one big inline screen between the pump and visagage. I think I used a 30 mesh. That solved all problems on the planter and got those running even….now if I could just get these knifes working.

Nice rig. I switched to urea for side dressing this year on a small portion on the acres. If all goes well at harvest. It's much more efficient and cheaper by far. Lots of people around me do it.
@Oliver66FarmBoy
@Oliver66FarmBoy 14 дней назад
Urea is the same price or more expensive than 28. Very rarely does is get cheap enough for a noticeable cost difference. With urea if you don’t get a rain within 24 hours you are already loosing nitrogen back into the atmosphere and the higher the temp and humidity the faster it evaporates. Top dressed urea for the last 14 years. There’s a reason I finally built a 28 applicator.

It could of come off in s mud hole in the field while you were spinning with everything behind you, just think about that situation so to make you feel better,,i had a rear drive wheel planetary one of 3 gear pins worked its way out and loose dropping a drive gear in our new Case 1175.the tractor only had 125 hrs on it and it was new . My dad got on the phone with the dealer and told them he wanted a new tractor out the next day otherwise he was going to take them to Court,as he didnt want this one fixed, as the metal grindings were now though out the total hydraulic system of the tractor and polluting all the other bearings thru out,, The next day we had a new tractor out and he sold it at 12,345 hrs on it ,no issues or repairs on that straight tranmission model at all done, other than changing fluids

Well your 28 bar works fairly well but the only thing that makes me a little nervous is how much the long tongue on the rear of the bar for the trailer flexes up and down looks like it could stand a gusset on it maybe before next year. Sorry about your bad luck incident but nothing was hurt especially not you. After that long of time you would think that wheel would be a bear to get off but apparently all that stress on just one wheel was too much.
