This.. I remember when people were saying some of the moves in the THPS series were stupid, over the top, cartoonish, and impossible.. Current day riders are basically saying "Hold my beer and watch this"

This is absolute 🔥 and the excitement in the commentary both only adds to how crazy this sport is progressing. I've been following the xgames since the mid 90s and remember when a backflip no hander was winning a gold medal!

You have to give credit to all the people that are building these huge skateparks and camps all over the world. During the 80’s, 90’s and early 2000’s there weren’t that many places… let alone safe places to learn these tricks. Now you see these huge complexes, state of the art padded ramps & foam pits. The insane progression we are witnessing is because of these parks. ❤❤❤ Imagine if the Condor or Nyquist grew up next to a foam pit skatepark 🤦🏾‍♂️

Yeah absolutely. It's one of the things that adds to my respect for Ryan Williams too, the fact that he so frequently invites others to the megaramp setup he's built and encourages them to use it to practice and become their best selves.

He's literally a circus performer, so that's probably part of it. Part of it also seems to just be his genuine personality. Even if it wasn't for that, they're ultimately all there for the crowd, why would you get mad at him engaging with the crowd and putting on a show?
