A client was having issues with the sound cutting out while using certain cables with his guitar amplifier. He asked If I would be willing to swap out the input sockets, and I thought it'd be fun to film the process.
Another great step-by-step video. I enjoy your meticulous approach and the steps you take to ensure the client's equipment is not accidentally damaged. Have you posted a video about making that delicious banana bread?
I was told that whenever you touch tubes that you should wipe the oil from your fingers off. Otherwise a good clear video. I am sure that everyone would love to hear the amp after ya fixed it.
It’s fine to not wipe off the tubes, the glass is thick and strong and tubes are designed to be touched by hands. There are some light bulbs used for example in cinema lights that will explode is they have even a tiny amount of oil on the glass from fingers/hands. I know from experience! The difference is the glass is much thinner and fragile in cinema lamps than vacuum tubes. Different applications require different tolerances.
