Today I’m reviewing the Nike Air Monarch IV Snow Day! The Nike Monarch have become a meme in the sneaker community and it looks like Nike is trying to capitalize. I'm always surprised to find out some sneaker heads will pay anything for "quality" but don't understand that these "full grain" and "tumbled leather" uppers are mostly synthetic or a polyurethane bonded leather made to look full grain. Glad you pointed that out. Lots of reviewers act as if they know their materials but fail to mention this. Buy quality not the hype.

But normally "full grain" means it's real and good. Not like "genuine leather" which is real leather but the remains, so the shit part.

I don't see how the air monarchs have become a meme because dude, these things are AMAZING!! durable, comfortable, and basically waterproof. I have worn tons of shoes and been clowned on for wearing these, but I will always put these things on over my torch 4'S They support my feet so well, that I can work an 8-hour standing shift without getting sore. I have played basketball in these, and I gotta say, they are beautiful to wear. I don't get the clunky feeling at all since I already have massive feet (13 wides) they are very good and last me 3 years on average (I have bought 4 pairs) way more comfortable and supportive than the typical Jordan 1's

I have to agree. Looks are decent, at best. But definitely not for more than double the price. I copped the white/gray/volt for work, when they were on sale. So, to me, the Snow Days are 3xs what I paid. Not really justified with a little extra stitching and a faux sherpa lining.
