@DB bruh, she didn't said that. She said that she'll continue and she'll prioritize mass transportation for commuters than a car-centric infrastructure (but those road projects will still continue). What you said was a fake news. I'm not here to berate you, I'm just correcting it.
@James1230
@James1230 2 года назад
@@bryx170 According to CNN, "Robredo will continue the administrations BBB program and would push her projects that would directly impact those who needed the most". Robredo: Yung sakin dapat ung infrastructure natin mag sspur ng rural development. Kasi ung infra natin masyadong concentrated sa MM. Kailangan ilabas siya pero di siya mailalabas kung di natin hinanda (I think she meant "ihahanda") ung provinnces across the country. Though you're right that she didn't say na she will not continue but I beg to disagree from what she said. First, | the “Build, Build, Build” program is the Duterte administration's ambitious infrastructure development plan that is composed of thousands of projects to be implemented all over the country. | It's already being implemented throughout the country. Now, why did she say na MM lang naka-focus ung development? (Which I think not true) It's because MM needed it the most. This is the economical center of the Philippines. MM is already deprived of infras. Like what she said, she would continue it to the places that needed it the most. | A total of 102 airport projects, 117 seaport projects, 1,090.30 kilometers of railway, 2,587 flood mitigation structures, 2,515 kilometers of road, and 1,020 bridges are currently under construction. | Does this look like it's concentrated to MM only? Medyo di ata nagcoconnect ung sinasabi ni Madam. I hope she really cares about this, if not (if she would become the president), I guess there would be huge resistance. She always sounds like politicizing rather than caring.

As hopeful and progressive as it seems, the project is lined with corruption and further buries the country in debt. The debt the Ph owed skyrocketed during this president's term by so much that it dwarfs the incurred debt of the previous presidents combined. Though for a foreigner, the country is really great and everything is sold for cheap here. Hope you enjoy your time whenever the borders open

Yes our construction industries must make a paradigm shift when it comes to appreciating our supply of skilled labor by paying them commensurate in order to keep them inbound and not have them leave the country for less wages. Then they therefore afford the goods and services within the whole archiepelago.Just saying in my humble opinion. Mabuhay and Peace.

I believe we need to invest more in our industrial manufacturing sector. We have so many Filipinos who leave the country for better jobs. The problem with the Philippines is the RC Church. The priests control the minds of the people including many govt. officials; they take but give nothing in return. The Church opposes birth control and divorce while turning a blind eye to 14year old girls giving birth and living in squalor abandoned by the fathers while increasing the population to 62 million? Any community under the heel of the Church will always be in trouble and economically depressed even with the best of intentions of honest and progressive investors. I wish the Phil. the very best but I expect that 10 years from now more progress will be evident in the Buddhist and Muslim countries than the Philippines.

I'm a Filipino who lives in the Philippines, in Metro Manila to be exact. As much as I support improving our infrastructure especially the dreaded transportation problem, I hope this will not end up further increasing the tax rate in our country. The monthly income of an average Filipino worker is around 20k to 30k pesos (396 to 594 USD) that isn't really much considering housing rent averages around 8k pesos (158USD) plus you also need to pay for food, utilities, fuel/transportation, and other needs. Increasing the tax rate will just further strain both middle and lower class of society. The prices of goods keeps on going up while your salary remains the same.

Philippines have potential to be develop but the main problem is the weather. With seasonal typhoons, a lot of development projects would cost higher than it would in Indonesia and Malaysia. North Philippine can become a good hub for port and maritime trade as it can bypass Chinese ports straight to Taiwan and then to Japan and Korea. Perhaps instead of East-West route, Philippine should build facilities to cater to North-South trade, from Japan to Philippine, and then Indonesia or Papua, to Australia and New Zealand. Still, the problem of weather is still there plus the need to build up Mindanao and probably Papua would take a lot of time. Its also less profitable compared to East-West route but by building good port facilities at both northern and southern end of the Philippine, at least the development of the country won't be too Manila-centric and help to unify the country via better domestic trade route and development of the islands, plus the northern port can cater to the East-West route too. One good advantage of the Philippine is the diaspora in the USA that help to popularize Philippine's product in the West and the Hispanic heritage that can be use to market product of industry to Europe and South America. Not to say that adopting Tagalog as national language is a mistake but had the Spanish language been preserved in the everyday life of the Philippines, access to the Hispanic market would certainly be easier. At least culturally, Philippine are technically within the Hispanic sphere.

This kind of ambition is okay and good but the question is, where are we going to get the fund to build all of this? To lend again, and who's going to suffer, not the government officials BTW. And the salary for the Pilipino worker in our country didn't even change and then the contribution for the government fund are increasing. 🤦😤 It's okay, let just hope for this and good luck to the next generation who's going to pay for this plan. 🤷 I'm not bitter, but I'm just concerned.☺️ 🙏🕊️❤️
