6:05 I build tank models since i quit playing wot and from 2016 i have build over 50+ model tanks and trucks.They are in my display cases and they are object that i can touch and admire.I played wot the hard way by not paying real money for pixel tanks and special ammo.I payed only for two premium tanks that came as a code when i bought a tank model to build. Some people will spend money on pixel tank,i spend money on tank models that i build myself.I must say it is more satisfying than playing the game now.

You forgot the Christmas boxes QB. Me and three of four of the guys I regularly toon with got ours in the gift boxes on the first day of the event. N/A server.

All that money and we still gotta suffer through a unbalanced and pretty broken game, but hey, we got some blue prints for our loyalty

Skorpion G was the beginning of the premium power creep in WoT, it started the trend of overpowered premiums that were vastly better than their counterparts.

Don't forget that they also sold the Skorpion (the non-skin version) :D

Fun fact: I never owned a premium tank and never really understood the game until I stopped playing, watched your videos and felt burnt to really touch this game again

I got the Skorpion G from lootboxes 2 years ago when my big brother gave 3 boxes to me for free. From those 3 boxes I got also the lorraine 40 t and the B1. So I got 3 boxes for free and I got 3 premium tanks. Amazing luck

I love mine, I was lucky enough to get it in Christmas boxes one year. I could only spend a measly $5 for 3 boxes and the 3rd one gave me this beautiful beast.

Having come back to the game after a few years and having to deal with these things made me decide I'm not spending another penny on this game. Then shortly after I discovered all the other OP premiums they put in. Fun game, but I'm not spending money when they're trying to bend me over...

I got my skorpion G for free from some kind of event where you needed to play like 5 battles and get a good average base xp. This event was couple years ago and the top price was type59.

I write my thesis about this the ownership of digital goods or the lack of it rather.

I got my first Kolobanov's and Pool's in a legendary, blood pounding round in my T14. . . In the second battle I played in it.

Hence why I'm a Free to Play Player. I'm not about to loose my Real Money for a Virtual Garage full of Tanks.

QB just gained alot of points, in my mind, by being an Old WAR player. I recall that game very fondly, it has a special place in my heart.

I got the non skinned version for 50% off when they were selling them if you had the skinned version in your garage, but I only had the rental skinned version. So I couldn't resist, 50% off is a good price for that tank.

I remember grinding the hell out of the missions a while back to get the scorp. If I remember correctly I completed the missions less than an hour before they would be taken down. Easily one of the best tier 8 tanks in the game

The recent rulings in the U.S. on owning software have come down to whether or not there is support for the purchased product. Once there is no more support the user is free to hack and do whatever to use their purchase. I would think that people would set up servers for the game if support were to end.

Back on this vehicle came out it was probably the most highly-anticipated premium tank I ever purchased. I loved the German TD line especially JgPzE100 and this is the tank that help me train up my crew to a 6 skill crew soon-to-be 7. Also I believe this game was at it's popularity around the 2016/2017 mark and that's about the time this tank came out. If it had to come out only today I'm sure it would not have sold as well

Even tho they are making a ridiculous amounts of money, they still feel the need to screw their whole playerbase over, by placing players in 60-70% of matches in bottom -2 tiers. So that you feel weak and feel the need to spend more money on the game. Instead of trying to give the ppl, who gave you so much money, an enjoyable experience. The -2 mm doesnt have to be removed, their is something to be said about games where you are the underdog, but pull out a victory. It could easily be just a 10-20% of times, that you are in such unfair odds, especially know where they sold so many premium tanks that seem op against the same tier tanks, let alone lower tears. That complete disrespect(& milking attitude) that they have towards their player base, is what prevented me personally, to give them any money for years, but hey to each their own.

I think wg will be around for a while but I'm discouraged at their continuous prioritization of short term profit at the expense of long term game health/gameplay.

I bought mine pretty soon after it came out and I had a five-day trial or something like that. While I've always had issues with throwing money at T8 premiums (I consider buying premium time a cost of doing business) there was no denying that, yeah, I had to have this machine.

Got mine from a Christmas event a couple years ago.. krampus vs. Something else.. you choose a side and at the end of the event you got Christmas boxes if your side won.. and you had a chance to get a bunch different premiums.. i got a IS-3A and the Skorpion G out of that

Hey QB another way that other players (including myself) have gotten the Skorpion G is saving up gold from clan wars/tournament rewards and purchasing the tank during events like the advent calendar

Stopped playing like 2 years ago but still gameplays are fun to watch.

I bought the Skorpion G about 10 months ago and I cannot love it more. It's truly an amazing tank and because of that I'm not even that surprised it made Wargaming that much money.

Basically everyone with twitch prime got the Skorpion G as rental this year. It's a good thing QB said 50 mil since 82 mil is a very inflated number.

It deals regular damage with standard rounds. ( used to anyway). And you didn’t have to spam gold to pen. It’s a paper tiger, but fun.

I got the original one (when it was introduced) and racked up already quite a few games with it...

For those of who love the game and are willing to drop money on a free to play game the scorpion is a great premium to own. For those casual players who hate those with premium tanks just remember we are paying so you can have fun. You're welcome.

Don't think that is accurate, given the tank has been sold over a few years, to compare it to a blockbuster per se. Though you could look at the sales from blockbusters over that whole time too, with dvd and streaming sales, and maybe compare, but this is an interactive item that holds value in the realm of a game we all love, so I think it has more value than the short term entertainment of a good movie, even if you watched it over and over again. This is more equivalent to scale models RC tanks that you can play with other tanks, and in that case, its a pretty good value, as RC is super expensive. You can't have fulfilling Rc battles either as it is at best plastic airsoft like bullets, so its not even fair in that way to compare. Or take scale modeling, I mean how much entertainment do you get beyond the building? It is nice to have but I still feel like the value isn't nearly as good. I don't devalue these things because it is pixels, everything is literally pixels if you think about it, the game is just a game within the game of life that we get something out of and that is what is important. These are real relationships, these are real people, living real lives, and the time spent isn't a job, or work, you can't equivocate them one vs the other, as if one wasn't real, or less than. If it is important to us it is even more real, more valuable, so yeah the 50 bucks is worth it. Its kind of like those anti smoking adds, that add up the total cost of cigs over the years and say look at what you could have bought. Wah wah. No, because you would have spent it on other things trying to get that pleasure and satisfaction. I too am glad they have been successful and found ways to make this enjoyable for all these years. Better yet, glad I have a skorpion, really a fun tank in that game!

It was my first ever premium tank. My friends bought a löwe but I went for the skorpion. You don't need armor if you play well anyways

Besides all the interesting info about numbers of sold premium tanks my attention was caught at 13:18 where QB says: "maybe the SU130PM is a bot and as soon as he fires at him the bot is going to activate". That explains a lot about the pathetic teams in game right now.

im playing on WoT HK/Asia server and i have that Skorpion G but it seems the shell velocity and concealment got nerfed..everytime you fired on enemy vehicle your commander skill becomes lit..and too big for a TD much bigger than HT..

I am a WoT player, have been playing almost since the beginnings of the game. On the other hand this is not my main activity so I need to advance fast. This way, investing 40 bucks in a tank and making more credits gives me extra time for my projects on a constant basis. So I have spent 40$ once but I get more time to work so I repeatedly made more money aka way more than 40$ due to this digital product's mannner of making my grinding more efficient. So for me it is worth it. Thanks for your work, QB! 👏🙏😁

The Scorpion G was the first Premium tank aviable to players for money that was not worse than the standard one. It was the start of the powercreep with premium tanks.

I have one on rental now and really diggin it but not sure what I'll do in 10 days when it's gone. I can't see it for sale on the NA servers, which is a shame as I'm halfway through the second skill on the crew and don't have any other German TD's on that account to move them in to after the rental period.
