I honestly really like this. Hes not fully going into detail but more on his first impresion which is nice. I would of never heard about this keyboard otherwise.
Actually in Victorian times electrical cabling was covered with braided covering, that is where braided cabling comes from, as often electrical wiring was exposed on walls and ceilings. Also still no Von Slatt love?
yeah for $500 it better have some better materials. Nicer wood and maybe gold plated brass? It just seems like the cost of materials for it would be much lower. A CNC machine could cut more expensive materials too. Although it does look hella dope

Not sure where the $500 is going. Poplar is not an expensive wood. Those key caps are probably the most expensive part of this. $150 would be a better price, but even still that's asking a lot for a super niche product.

I guess nobody seems to understand that Datamancer really makes ART PIECES... not computer peripherals, necessarily. But, hey, to each their own... I'd never purchase a Datamancer piece because I just don't need one. There's definitely a market for it.
For $500, Poplar is most certainly not an acceptable choice of wood. It's one of the cheapest hardwoods available (especially in the East, where I live), and it's disappointing for a niche company to use such cheap materials, especially at this price point. Other than that, it looks okay, but seems more haphazardly laid out than their other keyboards. Also, choice Poplar is not a thing. Maybe they mean that they choose the board they used, but that should be expected, but their marketing implies that 'choice Poplar' is some fancy version of Poplar, rather than the former that I mentioned it most likely being. I would also hope that the keyboard has a detachable cable for the price, otherwise that $500 keyboard could easily turn into a $500 brick.
