These are cool content. I'd really like to see you do case swap videos with these or other brands. They can be tricky but can be done with out hacking them to pieces. There are not too many current updated videos out there on this and I think it's nice to see them from time to time and how they fair in current times.
Gonna be honest, except SOTR that poor i3 was hitting 100% way more times than the R7 250, perhaps getting an i5 for that system would be quite a huge upgrade, perhaps y'all can test it :D, at least locally 2-3-4th gen i5s can go for about 10$ a lot of the times and they are super worth over the i3.
I could watch these kinds of videos all day. I adore old dell office PCs. Here in Houston you can find them in the dumpsters behind office buildings or they sell them by the pallet just to get rid of them. I got an I7 with 16gb ram, a 120gig ssed and a 1 TB hard drive for 40$, paired it with a used gtx 1650 non super and had a great gaming pc for under 150$ if i went with an rx 550 or a gtx 750 ti I could have got in under 100$. I love gaming pcs because no matter if you have zero budget, somone has an old computer they are throwing out or some old parts... even with zero knowledeg youtube will show you how to do it.
Bro I love these I basically just did this. I should have called a library or something but I ordered a pc off eBay with an i7 6700 for 125 then I am putting a 1070 in it. It was 291.
plastic package melt leading to temp threshold. and noise check fail so just melt the plastic again and soak it with silicon teflon heat till wet ... .use and LOVE THE solid non air filled parts work so well..
you guys have to try out this pc i saw it on amazon and it looks really good and the specs Lenovo Gaming PC Desktop Computer - Intel Quad I5 up to 3.6GHz, GeForce GTX 1650 4G, 16GB Memory, 256G SSD + 3TB, RGB Keyboard & Mouse, WiFi & Bluetooth 5.0, DVD, Win 10 Pro (Renewed) and its only 380$ which is really good so i was wondering
Bought this exact set up but it has the i5 4590 for $20. Also my ssd is a fanxiang or something like that. Plays most of my usual games so I took it to work to play on lunch. GeForce now handles anything else.
You guys need a goodwill computer store, those pcs would be $10-15 max for the same. I was getting dell OptiPlex 9020 with i5-4590 4gb ram for $9.99 plus tax at the Goodwill computer store consistently.
I have a Dell laptop with i5 1st gen & 4gb ram & nvs quadro 3100m gpu for 3.5 years at 100CAD. It's decent for web browsing with 4 tab at most but games cannot be played beyond the PS3 era of games. Your custom build is miles better in terms of performance but then again we compare a laptop to a desktop. Also, what is your cheapest Ryzen 5600g pc so you can get in the US? I bought mine with 16gb ram & 512gb nvme for 425CAD.
i have a very similar build i did as a budget system a couple years ago now. only 8gb of ram but the exact card, and i happen to have an i5-2500 in it. played low end titles well. i'd like to upgrade it to the boards max specs of i7-2600k and 16gb of ram just to see the difference. went from a 4gb i3 2130 system and just evolved over time w spare parts from other shits and giggle builds so seeing this, and the card i have (r7 250) & hardly ever see used in builds, is very cool.
i just replaced the r7 200 with a 1050 ti oc in my old home theater/ retro gaming pc. it's an old hp 6200 micro tower with an i5 2400 and 8 gb ram that my wife got for free from an old job she worked at. they kept the drives so i added a 240 gb ssd and a 3 tb hdd.
The other day I got an Asrock z370m-itx/wifi mobo, i5 8400, 16gb ram, Aio Cooler and Gold rated 600w psu for $100, everything worked too. Sold the cpu and mobo and made almost $100 profit
To be realistic, for that kind of many you could create gaming PC that would run games from PS2 and perhaps PS3 era. R7 250 shown here is generally good enough for PS3 games with reduced settings.
I did similar thing somewhat recently, I bought 3010 SFF with i3 and 8gb of ram for around 15 bucks (from auction), replaced i3 with i5 3450 for 10 bucks and 750 low profile 2GB (which is way better than r7 250) for 35, so total around 60 us dollars, yeah, I got lucky with the the whole build, but it is doable
Great video, my only complaint would be you should have mentioned more about the poor performance in more demanding game. Particularly for those that listen to the video why having the video in a small box at the edge of the screen could have easily miss the slide show that was the Shadow of the Tomb Raider benchmark (9 fps !). Great PC for the price, but I think you made it sound a bit too rozy. Great advice on upgrading the CPU, 2nd and 3rd gen i5's are very cheap.
They roasted my setup Lmfaoo 🤣. I got a free HP Compaq 6200 Pro MT and then put $20 SSD by Crucial and have 32 GB of ram for $40 and then soon a RX 550 4GB LP for $70. But the PC works so well its actually like fast it's because of that i5 2400 and SSD and disabling a bunch of windows bloat.
Have you guys have a problem where the laptop or pc just like filling up the storage and then when you turn it off or closing the apps that you were just opening its like returning the storage amount of normal? I've been having this problem with my lenovo s7 and can't figure if its a malware or some junk that just appears in my laptop
when this video came out my I was watching it with my little brother and has wanted to build a pc for like ever so I bought all the parts but got him a i5 and he loved building the pc and now he plays roblox and minecraft and a little bit of fortnite on it
Do whats the 500K sub special? "A build at every budget" video? "10 builds under 500"?😂 "AMD 7000 RDNA3 vs every other integrated graphics in the last 10 years"?
I like the video but the $69.69 was a bit of a lie since you didn't get the parts for that price but pieced something together from a more expensive bundle of systems.
WWZ: aftermath is a great game that should be added to the E-Sport lineup. recommended setting are intel i7 3970 16gb of ram R9 280/GTX960 deluxe edition is on sale right now on epic for $24.99
This is a joke in so many different ways. Buying a bunch of dogshit and throwing it together is obviously going to give subpar performance. Also how is buying 120 worth of stuff a 69 challenge?
