@@karangtavana1283 damn, you're a gross hater. Chael is an all time great, a champion, and the risks he took versus the risks the jones has taken is day and night difference. Chael fought in multiple divisions, Jones fought in one. It's not just about wins.
+A Atreidas he was never a champion you idiot, he’s been fighting since 1997 and has never won an MMA title in the 5 or 6 organizations he’s fought in. He never made it to the olympics, he never won the state championship, and never really made it to the top. He’s a walking gimmick and an underachiever who attracts a bunch of lowlives who support him. His disdain and bias against Jones is as embarassing as his fight against Jones and all other high level guys he lost to. But you go ahead and support an underachiever, I’m not gonna stop you.
Did u actually just call this idiot humble? Lmao.. he sound like the bitter loser loser he has been hid whole life. Dumbass talking shit about a man that beat the shit out of him on a dislocated toe. He actually said that jones cant beat DC.. um done it twice.. and he would absolutely kill adesanya with ease. Gtfoh
if Jon Jones is beating the best in division even though he's suffering from getting off of PEDs, I can only imagine how good he will be once his body bounces back, because he is still young and that will happen.
19edmurillo He said it himself he didn’t take gus seriously the first fight , but yes doesn’t take away the fact he almost lost. This fight though, Jon is in his absolute prime and performed like that? There’s a difference buddy.
Buck Futtler it was most likely an ongoing injury he’s been dealing with hence why he didn’t really react to it at all during the fight so it doesn’t really matter, he still fought hard as fuck and still did better than 98% of jon jones past opponents.
Adpted lol Jon controlled the pace of the entire fight against Santos. You fools make no sense, there’s not one category that Santos beat Jon in. You just think Santos happened to blow every ligament in his knee out? Jon is the reason for that. Jon dropped him, rewatch the fight and see how many shots didn’t actually land on Jon. The fight went the way it went strictly because Jon didn’t want to get knocked out, stop being foolish
@@WeirdEdz Jones without peds would have been starched long ago, that first Gus fight Jones was being lit up all over the place. I wanted to see DC v Jones at HW where DC naturally fights at, now I am completely fine with DC taking out a non-juiced Jones at LHW.
@@TheRedRuin Jones is 8 years younger than DC. There's a general rule in fighting that if the younger guy wins he'll also win the rematch, only easier. Jon has already beaten him twice. They were good fights but not extremely close. In the rematch Jon brutally KO'd him. There are exceptions to every rule but this feels like an example of the rule. People also forget that JJ did better in his 2018 USADA era rematch with Gus than their first fight in 2013. My opinion is also that Jones steps up his game against the most difficult opponents, no disrespect to Anthony Smith or Thiago Santos
@@dantemagalhaes9462 He's beaten DC exactly zero times one of them officially a NC but if you're found to be a drug cheat it should be a LOSS so he's lost to DC twice, we've seen what Jones is like without PEDS in the Santos fight, completely beateable he was very fortunate Thiago fucked his knee up from the leg kicks that put Jones in a wheelchair post fight. Your general rule is bullshit you made up, the fantasy a younger guy will win is what you're basing that on, fighter promoters made that shit up because young fighters are easily conned and paid less.
I thought Thiago Santos did really good, until I re-watched the match, if you watch the exchanges in slow-mo, Jones rolls with the punches and dodges allot of them. The fight was one sided Jones did really good
Jon fights to his opponents ability . He’s fight corner told him he had won so Jon just does enough to win and he did . Jon has gears to change and will do when needed
Close fight but I didn't see jon get knocked down or his legs get wobbly. Santos gave it all he had but still fell short. It's alright, they will live to fight another day...
I would bet u he's still using? just cause he had a close fight doesn't mean he wasn't on them, who cares anyway, the guy you watch and worship (Chael) was a an advocate for peds
@@Humanimal117 I don't get why people are saying this. His last two fights just a few months ago were both as dominant as Jon always is but now since he had a close fight he's suddenly lacking? From what I've seen the dudes striking defense % was unreal and he didn't even test the fight on the ground. Relax my guy
*Its clear Jon Jones was on PED's.The aggressiveness is missing on Jon.He had the confidence to go all out and be creative with his striking, but now he throws less strikes.* *PS-Thiago won the fight(1,2,5 round.) that too with one leg.*
@@theonetypingthis7186 It's okay, son. Just admit that Jon outstruck a Kickboxer who he could have taken down and manhandled if he wanted to. I don't understand how anyone thought Santos had a chance much less how he won. You don't win fights by getting walked down, missing most of your punches, and the punches and leg kicks you do land show no effect on your opponent which is the whole point of a fight. To hurt the other guy.
You keep saying one leg but Santos waa moving just fine on his feet. Not perfectly but just fine. He lost. Let it go and be happy Jon himself said he didn't want to grapple the guy. Jon was nice enough to not kick the fucked up leg Santos was wobbling on. This whole fight was about Jon challenging himself against a dangerous striker and coming out on top. Then we have you sourpusses who are so desperate to see the man fall you'll cling on to anything you got. Kind of sad.
The biggest challenge for Jon to take would be the trilogy against DC at heavyweight. The Izzy fight is way too premature and he's also undersized, just doesn't make it all that compelling.
Johnny walker is the main one that intrigues me. Not just yet, but a couple more fights and if he looks as explosive in those then I’d favor him over Jones. He’s got scary power from awkward angles and I can see him catching Jones with something wild because Jones is hittable. Only big question is Walkers ground game.
The only reason Jones wasn't the most anticipated fight is cuz he comes out and just 'Thanks god for his gifts." instead of saying," I'm back MuthaFuckas!!!"
Every time Jon tests clean, he has a hard fight..... i think he was confident he could walk through santos without them and this was his big "wake up call" he was talking about, he knows he needs the PED's to beat DC again
This is perfect analysis of Jones. Only Jones stans will get mad. He is extremely sensitive, just look at his twitter. You can’t not ignore the fact that since he’s been back in December he hasn’t been the same. Don’t get me wrong he’s still dominant, he still wins majority of the rounds but he’s not the same as pre USADA Jones and that’s a fact.
Chael is always going to be salty to Jon especially after he snubbed him for an interview this was kind of a bash jones post which is kind of caddy We all love chael but Jon won he out stuck the striker and didn’t need to take him down Come on chael
Meh, this isn't a ground breaking revelation, we've been hearing this since the first Gus fight... ...and the Glover fight... ...and the first DC fight... ...and the OSP fight... ...and the Smith fight... ...basically almost every time he's ever went to a decision, the haters get all excited like a school of piranha; that just never get that satisfaction that they desperately want of course. The problem is that Jones is so unashamedly selfish - and more power to him - that he doesn't give a shit about beating his opponents, even retaining the title; he's more concerned with beating his opponent at their own game. Frankly, I don't know why people still makes comments like "...well I thought he woulda' taken him down! That's what I would've done!", this isn't a secret and never has been, he's done this for years. DC said that Jones could never take him down; Jones takes him down 3 times at will. And, for the knowledgeable fight fans(a rarity - most are of the "JUST BLEEEED" variety desperately putting trying to convince others on the internet that they train, brah!), THIS is what makes Jon Jones fights so intriguing. When Rumble still gave a damn, the casual fool was just thinking "OMG he might land an uppercut when Jones goes for a double!" - yet the REAL intrigue is that there was never going to be a double attempt, Jon was always going to stand right in front of him. You would think that would ever be all that's needed to promote Jon Jones fights, but all they seemingly have is the tired "Can the crafty veteran hold off the young talent?!" bullshit. Saying that "Jon Jones is about to face a 21 win Brazilian that has as many knockouts as Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson - and he intends to stand in front of him and beat him at his own game!" SHOULD'VE been the marketing for that fight(even if the fight was, apparently, "disappointing"[???] exactly because that's what happened), but, nope, all they had was "Santos is a young [...35?] and rising fighter; can he beat the crafty veteran?![who has just as many fights as he does...???]" Frankly, if there's anything that we've learned at this point, it's that the Zuffa crew were the P4P best marketers in the history of MMA - and IMG, for all of the big talk of "bringing Hollywood in to take it to the next level" has done fuck all but flounder as they've struggled to keep up the momentum that Zuffa sold them. Of course, Zuffa actually gave a fuck while IMG is only focused on getting a quick return on their investment, so...
I was right with Chael until he mentioned Israel beating Jon Jones. Give me a fucking break. Really? Israel has like 20 top contenders to go through before he should even be allowed to be on the same fight card as Jones, much less standing across the cage.
I came to the video with a healthy amount of sarcasm, ready to debunk what I thought would be specious claims thrown at Jon Jones...and I have nothing to say. Chael was right, completely right with everything he said. Jon's camp would be wise to identify with some of what was said here and use it to help Jon find his fire to go through the new contenders.
And here we have Chael Sonnen still failing ro recognize that Jon Jones, who even said himself, chose to stand and trade with a dangerous Kickboxer. You guys can go ahead and click this video but keep in mind that Ol' Chael is speaking from an ignorant point of view.
That was a real breakdown by Chael, that’s why it stings a little. I agree 100%. I just want to say this...If you haven’t taken ped’s, or haven’t been inside the closed ring of ped users(you all know some, you are just oblivious)then you really dont understand what Chael and others mean when they talk about it.Jon was juiced, so was the majority of these guys. I am a Jones fan but lets not be naive.
Thiago's knee was completely busted, if jon took that to the ground that fight would've been over way quicker. Bones just wanted to prove he can beat anyone at their own game
I think that was the issue with Demetrious Johnson, he was way too dominant in his division and cleaned it up, there was no anticipation or anything, it made his matches rather boring
Bro, on some warrior to warrior shtt, let’s keep it 100 Son, JONES RAGDOLLED YOU, he had you doin the Greco Roman shuffle with flips my man, I bet you still have nightmares,..but with that said on the cheating comment, if we’re still being honest most of y’all AT SOME TIME IN YOUR LIVES HAVE TAKEN SUPPLEMENTS, not saying y’all currently juicing, just That y’all have that, “boost” in common,.. because it’s just the nature of the beast. NO ONE IS INVINCIBLE! Like duhhhh, but that’s not even what’s important here, using every moment of this relevance to support your retirement is, so stop hating and step your game up, devils advocate mofo.
I think the point Chael is making, just how good is Jon without the PEDs. He won plenty of times with PED's in his system. This fight apparently he was clean and looked beatable, and got BEAT. He lost that fight, its bullshit to say he won.
I believe Jon knew this and gambled he could outstrike and out point his opponent. This did multiple things not just promote his name I quote the post fight interview "I still have tricks up my sleeve." Referring to qquestion about holding back his wrestling. Fully aware that Anthony Smith got 25 minutes of experience against him he not only increased his position in the business side he denied Santos and everyone fight data against him. Stregnthing his position in every way. It's that or due to a lack of PEDs he was nervous to wrestle santos. You judge which seems more likely I could see either being possible.
This excites me so much! I can't wait to perform for all of you. In your lifetime you will witness the greatest MMA fighter ever. I am exactly the person that Chael spoke of, the person that people HAVE to watch. There will be no question of who is the greatest, the game is almost over for the UFC Lightweight division, the clock is ticking and 3 years from now is *Midnight* .
Raza Alam no he’s not. Askren was and still will be if he continues to fight. Jorge masvidal will be bigger than Jon after the knee. Khabib and Tony are both bigger. No casual fans want to see Jon fight or even know who he is. The only reason he might seem like a big draw is because his last 3 cards have been absolutely stacked.
@@jakeeighties2673 Also, Ferg did 200k in his only recent headliner and Khabib did 300k without Mcgregor. Compare that with Jones, who did 700k against Gus and 600k against Smith.
How tf did anyone see that Santos won the fight!? Santos landed 25% of his strikes compared to 65% of Jon Jones. Plus, Jones had Octagon Control the entire fight. Don't be ridiculous.
The guy who he beat twice will come down and be favored in the third fight? The "light in the ass mw" whose biggest win is Kelvin would come up to LHW and be favored vs the GOAT LHW? Cmon Chael, you are becoming Skip Bayless.
also I rewatched the fight and I would love to see what chael saw to think jon lost.... ocatgon control alone jon had Santos backing up the whole time and out struck him sooo people are just haters and chael got smashed to pieces by jon inside a round......
Couldn’t you say that Jon (appearing invincible) could result in the mayweather affect? People watching him fight to see him lose?. I don’t understand why chael says it’s not helping him make money
I believe Jon also lost Gus 1...But I don't think Izzy can beat him..It will be interesting to see the match btw Izzy and Rob and actually see how good he really is, then we can have the Izzy v Jon conversation
Oh my GOD I laughed at every below the belt shot ol Chael threw at Jon. Best fucking back handed compliments I've ever heard. I love Chael so much hahahah
Kinda sad to see a grown over the hill fighter who seems to have his feelings all about him about having to hang up his professional fighting days being over, sitting by himself in a dark corner, ranting all by himself nonstop for MINUTES upon minutes about another fighter and taking jabs at for absolutely no reason. Seriously though, is it just me or is it weird for a guy like Chael who I admit speaks so well, has been a pro fighter for so long, in multiple organizations, cannot seem to get guest fighters (either active or retired) to share some opinions on fights?? C'mon dude.
The Bad Guy reaching on this one...his distain for JJ shows on this rant..love ya Chael..but Izzy (who I love) and Cormier (who I respect) can not beat JJ
Adesanya’s been real exciting and had one of the greatest fights I’ve ever seen vs. Gastelum but I completely agree😂 Idk where Chael has been getting the idea that “people” in general think the unbeaten Jon Jones would lose to an already skinny Adesanya moving up 20 pounds.
Adesanya could pooossibly beat Whittaker this year (I’m definitely leaning more towards a loss), but way less of a chance he could ever take down Bones
Bryson Coale You must truly recognize the question lingering around in everybody’s field ? How dumb are we the people to actually believe someone can beat this man.. You fail to notice that Chael is creating a fake opening , he says it all the time “my job as a magician is to show you this hand so than you may not see what I am doing with the other” Chael has pulled Jones out of the business water he was drowning in because Chael knows that Jon will murder all these people, even hints at it when he says “Jon can be both Tough And Skilled” He knows ! He knows that Jon will murder everybody he listed, but in the hand he is waving to the audience as if he is beatable, creating something that might potentially turn Jon Jones into the Michael Jordan of MMA / of course skill wise he already is but he has to be able to get people to care that he is, so he has to have better marketing and Uncle Chael Has shown his mercy from up above/ namaste @mcgreezy1k
