The French Matériel de 75mm Mle 1897 field gun was one of the most important weapons of World War I. It was commonly known as the French 75, or the 75 and Soixante-Quinze (French for "seventy-five").
It was a quick-firing, mobile artillery piece that could deliver devastating firepower on the enemy. The French 75 was also one of the most innovative artillery pieces of its time, with a number of features that made it a highly effective weapon. The French 75 fired an astonishing 16 million shells at the 1916 Battle of Verdun alone.

“The French 75 is widely regarded as the first modern artillery piece…”

The number of shells per minute in that battle is incomprehensible to me as a man, a human being. Nothing has changed.

After your magnificent work on the Battle of Long Tan, I would very much like to see you cover another battle that quite frankly deserves way more attention. The Battle of Keren, 3rd February-27th March 1941 fought in modern-day Eritrea which saw a 13,000-strong British army take on a 23,000-strong Italian-Eritrean army. It was the fiercest battle of the entire African campaign and considered the Italian army’s greatest display of courage and honour & a truly underrated Allied victory in the entire.

It’s an interesting campaign that was a prelude to the fighting against the Afrika Corps. Yes we’ll cover it, ya for the suggestion Croc 👌🏻. We’re halfway there on our prog about Mad Harry. It’s another longer video 😆

@@UlyssesFiles thank you. I’ve been reading up on it recently & am honestly really annoyed that nobody on RU-vid has covered it yet, or at least when they do they cover it briefly instead of giving it the time & detail it deserves😡 As for the Mad Harry video, are you using my script I’ve given you or have you made a entirely different one.

Used yours as a starter but adapted it a fair bit. Yes it’s a bit annoying how certain campaigns/battles and characters receive scant attention on RU-vid, while others are done over and over again.
