My grandmother used to make us eat the gristle of the chicken bones and chew up the bones to get to the bone marrow. My friends would laugh and think it was weird that we ate the bone joints but now that I’m nearly 50 and have a full head of hair while everyone seems to be balding around me, I thank my grandmother for making me healthy before I knew what healthy was.
During my 80 day hair growth journey, I did yoga and exercises, massaged my scalp with oil 3 times a week, shampooed once a week, and applied llitlleextra Reactivate serum. Consequently, my hair growth increased without any hair fall.
The greatest care you can do for your hair is to apply cocoonion shampoo and oil and reactivate hair serum. I've been using this hair care routine for the past 25 days now, and my hair is getting denser every day.
I remember guys who played guitar professionally always ate jelly (as we call it in the UK) cubes to keep their nails strong and flexible. So I started doing the same - it works.
I take 16g or 4 teaspoons of Gelatine a day (divided by morning and night). Gelatine powder is best taken in a hot drink. I’ll either have it with: A) Apple cider vinegar and lemon B) Ginger root with milk (and a dash of honey) Both are great for further enzymatic hydrolysis of the Gelatine to make absorption easier in the gut.
Excerpts: My #1 tip for hair growth and thicker hair is to consume gelatin. You could use either gelatin, unflavored and unsweetened Jell-O, or hydrolyzed collagen. How gelatin can potentially help increase hair growth: • It’s 99% protein • It has amino acids and peptides • It increases blood flow and blood volume In a few interesting studies, they saw a 50% increase in hair growth, a substantial increase in the diameter of the hair, and an increase in the number of hairs. Gelatin may help provide the raw material needed and boost blood flow to add some additional help when it comes to hair growth-even if there is an autoimmune component or genetic weakness. You may want to try 10 to 14 grams (1 Tbsp) of gelatin powder per day with L-cysteine or NAC and saw palmetto. Thank you Dr Berg!! 🐱👍🏿

I am a bit confused by this video. He said not to use sweetened with sugar in it Jell-O, but what about sugar free Jell-O. I eat about 4-5packs of sugar free Jell-O per week. Is that also good for thicker hair?

I recently followed your advice from a prostate issue video you made, and i used saw palmetto and stinging nettle root.. and the side effect was my bald head started regrowing hair. Im now 2 months into the suppliments, and only about 5 - 10% of my hair has come back, but its still adding with time, and when i think ive been totally bald for around 20 years, to just start coming back after all those years, is amazing
Whenever I want to know how things work, I look up Dr. Berg. Kind of like that show "How things are made" He just has a way of explaining things that helps me understand. Thanks Dr. Berg!
My grandmother taught me about this in the 1960s. An old fashioned addition to the diet -and it worked. Think bone broth, bone marrow, hearty stews and yes, homemade jello. What’s old is new again, lol.
What I do is take a few oz of water and microwave it in a glass for about 30 seconds. Then add my vital proteins mix in until melted. Then add a tablespoon of dry jello right out of the little brown bag it comes in from the little jello box. It will melt too. Then wait a few minutes because it’s very hot and drink it. I hope this is clear. I get the little jello boxes in different favors and take it everyday. It makes a HUGE difference in my hair and eyelashes. Also you could use the sugar free jello if you prefer.
Dr Berg, I have been using gelatin in my smoothies with aloe vera gel. Also been taking better care of my liver, eating more lemons, olive oil, greens, berries.
Tocotrienols were a huge answer to prayer. I tried saw palmetto and it didn't do anything. I had a toxic liver from taking meds and this antioxidant helped me go from losing massive amounts of hair when I wash it to just about 3-5 hairs. It's now been 2 months of taking them and I have a ton of about an inch of new growth. Hope this helps someone else!
3 weeks ago I started taking saw palmetto and the NAC supplement. The results that I have noticed thus far is that my hair is not shedding between my fingers as I comb my fingers through my hair.
Also the active ingredient in rogaine is a vasodilator. Long story short massaging your scalp works as a vasodilator for your scalp too. You do have to have some consistency about it. Two to three times a day for at least 5 min each time.
I started doing vigorous scalp massages a little over a month ago, it seems to be working. I also use peppermint oil. I may try adding the gelatin to my regimen...btw, I'm 37, I'll be 38 in exactly 9 days from today and I've been wearing a ball cap for about 10 yrs due to embarrassment of near balding. Hopefully I can fully restore my hair naturally.
@@DeepSouthBayouDiesel it can take time. Usually you'll see results in 3-6 months but do it as much as possible twice a day for best results. Good luck. Rosemary oil is good too.
Yes! Another great benefit of scalp massage is it brings blood flow to the surface of the skin and with it along comes collagen. Have you seen the tools that are used for fascia care? The tool used for our faces is also used with a thin scarf over the scalp to massage it. It feels wonderful and it works. 3-6 months is common for results 😊
@@yardner1963 yes , vasodilation is what brings the blood to the surface. You can use any kind of massage you don't necessarily need fascia massagers or anything you can use your hands even but yes. My dermatologist said scalp massage is the same and better than a pill.

*Dr. Berg* or staff please read!! Back in 2019 my husband came home with a big bag of .25¢ jello boxes. We ate some every day. My hair and nails were beautiful. But the biggest difference was my husband's knees stopped cracking and popping!! They have always made very loud noises since he was early 30's. Thru the years just got louder and more pops. After jello for dessert every day all summer long. We both noticed he could get down on the floor and back up and not one sound!! As we ran out of the boxes, we ate it less. His knees started to gradually increase the cracking and popping. It was over a month and then we began to eat it more frequently again, 4-5x a week. Once again his noisy knees stopped. We eat it several times a week now more like maintenance. Btw, My hair is down to my thighs and I don't need those artificial nails! Thanks for your hard work and dedication to help us! It's greatly appreciated ❤️
@@Drberg thanks for this information . Would you please recommend a product in particular. I would really appreciate it if you could put the link down below in a comment. Thanks in advance.
You can also buy unflavored gelatin packets in the Jello aisle and add this to your cooking. It goes well with meat dishes and things like soups and stews but you have to stir it in thoroughly because it has a tendency to clump together and fall to the bottom of the pot/pan where it will burn.
Hi Jeff- that is a great idea to add gelatin while you are cooking. I never thought of that- just in desserts or drinks. However regarding the clumping…if you use (unflavored Knox type) gelatin in stews or while you are cooking - dissolve the powder in a few tablespoons cold/ lukewarm water first for a few minutes. Then add the dissolved solution into the hot pot. It will blend in and not clump I think. If you put the gelatin directly into high heat, it “cooks” into clumps. I think this is true. I will try it myself when I try adding gelatin into stew or soup next time!
I m applying littleexttra rosemary reactivate hair growth serum from a couple of weeks. Here is my feedback: 1- Good mix of ingredients 2- Noticeable results in just 2 weeks that I got from it 3- Attractive bottle with lock and quality packaging 4- Non-sticky and simple to use
Both my friend and I also use the same reactivate hair growth serum... so far it is showing good results for hair growth.. we've only been using it for 1 month.. I'm confident that next month the hair growth will be even better.
I'm happy. Not only did the reactivate serum restore my hair strength, but it also stimulated fresh growth where I had been experiencing hair thinning.
I was vegan for almost 5 years. Among the many issues I developed, my hair became horrible. It’s was thinning, brittle, I was losing it all the time. I was so bad, I actually just shaved it off. After my health took a drastic turn, I started eating animal products again. Tons of butter and eggs, then meat. Then I added collagen and gelatin . My hair, skin and nail are amazing! And all my other issues are gone.
Collagen, beef , cream , egg yolks, turkey , chicken and shrimp is how I’ve recovered from raw veganism . I may lose zero to two hair strands per day. When I test the strength of the strands it’s real tough and won’t break.
@@00Mali00 you know I struggled for a long time with the feeling of failure on a vegan lifestyle… I was so disappointed in myself for a long time. But after a lot of reflection I know I made the right decision for my health. I wasn’t a junk food vegan. I ate a whole food plant based diet 90% of the 5 years I was vegan. I took all the supplements, ate the super foods, took the powders and yet I still suffered in the end, both physically and more importantly mentally. You don’t know what someone has went through and how difficult the decisions they made were… veganism was my life. I was so sure I would be a vegan for the rest of my life. To stop was not an easy decision. So to assume that I just ate the wrong way is completely wrong. I don’t blame you though, because I use to think the same way when some influencer stopped being vegan, they just ate wrong. But after going through it myself and knowing I did the best I could’ve, I no longer think in dogmatic ways. Health and diet are not black and white. What works for some doesn’t for others.
I really want to say thank you Dr. Berg because you had changed my perspective on food and minerals, I had follow every single thing you said about keto and diet for a month and I can see my body is getting way better than before. I have 4C hair and I’ve started using gelatin as my protein treatment and I’ve seen drastic changes. Very effective and inexpensive, cheers to gelatin.
It has decreased breakage yes, I’ve seen a huge difference. 1 cup of hot water 1 tblsp of unflavored gelatin (Any kind just make sure it’s unflavored) 1 tblsp ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) 1 tblsp Olive oil Apply the mixture on clean hair, let it air dry or stay in dryer for it to harden. For starters don’t let it crisp harden it’s going to break your hair (gelatin is 99% protein be careful) when you go wash your hair, follow with a moisturizing conditioner. That’s it.
After surgery last year, I lost a lot of hair. Most people would look at my hair and say I have a ton of hair right now, but for me it's thin. I started mixing Knox in my coffee in the morning this week. I'll check back in 6 months and let you know how my hair is doing.
I have lost my hair a number of times through chemo and also when I had an operation. It took around six months of treatment before it started to flourish. If you also want to grow thicker and longer hair fast, sprinkle one teaspoon of rosemary dried or fresh on any dish per day.
I’ve been taking gelatin capsules since my early 20’s to help with my nail growth, but my fine hair did flourish! I’ve been taking it off and on for years but now that I’m in my 40’s and I’m noticing thinning, I will be intentional about taking it again.
My thyroid is healthy. I’ve always had fine hair as opposed to thick hair like my sister. It’s always been long and healthy but the gelatin made it thicker. My mother does suffer female pattern baldness that started when she was my age, and now that I’m noticing a bit of thinning in the crown, I’m going back to what worked for me in the past and gelatin was a big factor for healthy, growing hair.
Gelatin never did anything for me but collagen supplements are amazing. I just turned 77 and for 76.5 years, I had terrible fingernails. Now they're beautiful. My hair was always good but it looks like the head of a 40 year old. A weird thing is happening and I want to be delicate but I lost just about all my body hair around 30 years ago. I mean ALL. That is now growing back. Collagen is not an instant fix, it takes months but it seems to stimulate collagen production and I take it only about 2-3 times a week now because it's expensive. I have almost no wrinkles and my skin is soft and smooth as a bonus. Even my neck doesn't look my age.
I like your comment and would like to know exactly what it is that what collagen supplement are you taking and where do you get it and are you talking about the jealous and also because I am 61 and I have premature aging hair is so so but I would like to regain some of my youthful appearance back
I’ve used collagen powder for a year with no results whatsoever. I’ve never hear of using gelatin so I’m seriously hoping for results like all the other comments
I used to make homemade Jello with healthy good quality gelatin and 100% grape juice. I know that's not Keto friendly but it is a good alternative to the boxed junk. You could make it with no sugar too and make it Keto friendly. It's also good for your gut. I recommend Avalon Organics Peppermint shampoo & conditioner for hair growth. I had a patch that has grown in so fast since I started using it and my hair is beautiful, strong & healthy now!
@@paigeconkling4460 Hi Paige. Sure! I use about 3 cups of Sun Rype 100% Grape Juice, heat in saucepan over stovetop until just before it boils. Then add 1tbsp Elo's Premium Gelatin. Whisk until blended. Pour into glass casserole dish and refrigerate 3-4 hours. This recipe does have sugar so you could use only water instead of juice, plus monk fruit sweetener or stevia to make it sugar free.
I make regular sugared Jello, keep it hot and drink it. It tastes great as a hot beverage. My nails are as hard as a rock, which I don't like bc I keep them short. Haven't noticed if my hair is different bc I have been drinking it as a hot beverage for many years. Blue Razz and lime taste the best.

I got TE a couple months after having covid. My hair was literally falling out in chunks. Lost about 50% of hair. After doing some research, I made sure I had proper daily vitamins and nutrients, brush my hair from the ends to the roots, and switch my hair products to only organic or natural oils (including hair dye). Within 3 weeks I barely have shredding and new sprouts coming in.
This complex 100% works! The sad part for me is that I easily lose two-thirds of my hair due to any stressful event, COVID alone made me lose my hair 4 times so far in less than 2 years, every time my hair thickens the virus strikes again! Hey, I approve this message. Couple months ago I started developing bald spot on my beard on neck (about half-inch in diameter). Then I started experimenting with some supplementation but only after adding 10 gram of hydrolyzed collagen each day the bald spot disappeared. It took about 10 days of supplementation. In addition my ugly thumb nail on one of my foot improved a bit. The collagen I took was marine collagen (this one was expensive but given for free as sample). Now I take about 15 grams of beef collagen every other day.

Simmer bone broth and added joints on low heat for hours and hours. When it's cooled off, you have that super healthy gelatine cheap! It's the typical thing we do in Northern Italy 🇮🇹 when we make boiled meat. We add bones and joints, remove the meat when done, use the broth for tortellini as first course, slice the meat and serve with a delicious "salsa verde" made with blended fresh parsley, garlic, olive oil, a boiled egg and anchovies. Then we continue to simmer the bones and joints on really low heat for hours. When it cools, it's that healthy gelatine that's so good for you! Buon appetito e lunga vita Sana!! ⚘⚘⚘
If you like natural gelatine cook it at home. Look for jellied turkey or jellied pork recipes. I simply boil some pork with trotters or pig ears (they will give the gelatine) for about 3 hours, put some garlic, salt and pepper in the water, and when finished leave it to cool down and put it in the fridge. The next day the gelatine is firm so you can enjoy this keto dish with so many health benefits. When I serve it I put a bit of vinegar on top or a bit of mustard with horse radish. I am over 60, I have long hair and no baldness at all. I eat this delicacy since childhood.

Dr. Burg, Thank you for these wonderful healthy videos, I have one question on the hair growth, you had mentioned drinking water with silica (sand), my concern with that, is there is a Dr. in Germany that did a study and found the raised blood pressure for consuming table salt was actually not a problem from the salt but is actually caused by the silica they put in the salt so it will poor out easy and not clump together, he found the silica microscopically has sharp edges and scratches the inner vein linings, this causes your body to repair those damaged veins with cholesterol, this build up of the cholesterol in the veins caused smaller orifices for the blood to go through, thus raising blood pressure, so since the companies that make table salt are such big industries they cant tell everyone to stop using table salt. as you mentioned our bodies need salt, but the silica in that salt causes damage to the veins, so isn't drinking water with silica going to do the same thing? Thank you Brother, 🤠🙏💖

It’s aggravating to see a society that’s so full of lazy people and it goes right back to our government in which these same people are voting in -and same government creating our ignorant population. It’s annoying and aggravating. People need to do better. Sad how ignorant Americans have become. If you want to make a public comment then be prepared for the feedback.
Really glad i found your channel. Probably the most diverse topic coverage I've seen. Wish i knew more people to share this with, but most people are numb to bettering their health till it's needed, but i guess that's to be expected. The problem with that thinking is that they could have staved off the exponential rate at which some things can come to harm you👍🏼
