Thanks that fixed mine. I was freaking out Bc this is the k-slim I bought for the camper and only used a few times. Last week my old trusty keurig I used heavily for 8 yrs died so I brought this in until I can get a new one. I couldn’t figure out why it would so suddenly break whew! Thanks a million. Need my coffee. And this cup is so STRONG haha. Thanks a BILLION!
My Keurig coffee maker has been making WEAK coffee since brand new out of the box. Clogged needle my ass. NO video anywhere addresses this. 2 weeks old and I'm seriously considering throwing the damned thing away. We tried the k-cup you put your own coffee in. Seriously if anyone has a HACK to fix this, you have the mike.
@@locomecobut how does a replacement help when it’s just how they’re made? They’re made to only make good coffee if you choose the 6 oz setting. So I have to brew 2 6oz cups back to back and use two k cups to get what I want. It’s complete BS
@@lindsayjackson4249 on top of that I tried an experiment and I took a little measure you get with your Keurig and I put four of those in my press pot and it made 6 cups of coffee, nice and strong. think of the waste we have working with these defective machines. I defrag mine and now the water runs out so fast that it couldn’t make a good cup of coffee if it had to. and nowhere can you find anything that says how to fix water coming out of your Keurig so fast that it doesn’t even get to sit with the grounds for five seconds. I’m just about fed up with it. I’m gonna go back to my press pot.
Omg you saved my kuerig k cafe literally i was so sad i won it as a gift at work and thought literally for a minute it was broken and its working now thanks to you!!!!! :)
Another technique to help stop the over leakage is to snap the k-cup on the bottom (exit) needle BEFORE closing the lid and having the upper needle puncture the foil - this leaves a cleaner, tighter hole in the foil... Take notice in this video how the foil on top of the k-cup is ripped from the closing action on an angle.
Nope. Mine has been watery weak since day-one. Even on the strongest setting, it looks like weak tea. Needle is clear. I'm suspecting the water pressure is way too high. I dissected the cup afterward to find that not all grounds were even wet. The device seemed to be forcing water through the grounds so fast that it created "channels" though the grounds, creating a path to the bottom of the cup that did not steep with the coffee grounds.
No one had used my Mom's keurig coffee maker in years and no water was coming out in spite of you could hear it working. I just put more water in it and tried again with no coffee and it got going. Vinegar descaling and clean water purges are needed now and then. Putting the cup in there straight so the needle goes in straight is helpful
Ours is not clogged, and it is still producing watery coffee and pouring outside of the k cup at times. But, it is 5 years old. So, perhaps it's time for a new one.
If the black rubber gasket that seals the needle to the top of the coffee cartridge is pulled down to the end of the needle it will seal better on your K cup and you will not have as much leakage.
@@howardhemen5329 THIS fixed my problem!!!! The gasket didn't seal to the top of the coffee cartridge to direct the water through the cartridge. I was getting three streams of water/coffee running into my cup causing weak, watered-down coffee. I realized that if I pressed down on the closed lid while brewing, I would get 1 stream of coffee, instead of multiple streams of liquid, and my coffee was perfect but I had to hold down the lid while it brewed. So, now I moved the small rubber gasket down slightly and BAM! Fixed the problem! THANK YOU!
I made a cup of Peet's first thing this morning with my mini, and it was fine. Went to brew a second Peet's a few hours later, and it was barely brown water. Tried a pod from a different brand at 8 oz instead of 10, same thing. So I cleaned everything out above and below, but I did not observe any clogs (I used a paper clip). I'm going to try the toothpick to see if more gunk will stick to it, thereby cleaning it out a little better. The machine is only a month old, and I've been using bottled water to reduce scale from my hard water (no descale light on). I will be really distressed if it's failing already.
My kuerig works fine without the pod, but once pod goes in it just doesn’t work the pod is punctured but grinds just comes on top of pod and no coffee!
I noticed I used cheap k cups and foil on top the seal busted leaking out of the broken seal and not going through grinds. This is another theory of this condition above and beyond and upper needle blockage
@@HuntMcNeil same my mini makes the most terrible watery coffee and it's brand new and I feel like it is now garbage. There is no way to make decent coffee if you like strong coffee. Or even if you like anything less than watery coffee it appears.
@@ValCline when you load the kcup, press it down so the needle on the bottom punctures the kcup bottom, then close lid. Also, try using 6 ozs of water, not 8.
How to sound critical but if there's not enough water coming out because the upper needle is plugged with coffee grounds then your coffee cannot be "watery".
I use a toothbrush (new) to scrub all the needles, removing the excess grinds & gook, plus removed & washed the bottom pod holder. I brew 6 oz on my new K supreme. That help a little. Next time I'll try a darker roast for better flavor or just use my regular coffee maker. Keurig need to make some more improvements
The major reason I've seen for watery coffee out of keurigs I've seen so far is people brew 8 oz. to 12 oz. Of coffee from a k cup. Most k cups only have enough coffee grinds to make a strong or non watery coffee at 6 oz. Beyond that point, you are essentially watering down your coffee. I usually brew a 12 oz. cup using 2 k cups at the 6 oz. setting.
I don’t know what kind of k cups you’re buying but Folgers & Starbucks are extremely strong at 12. I drink mine black. For those who like a little coffee with their cream & sugar I don’t think they want it strong anyway. 😂
Bro I would od w two kcups in one cup. I remember when I first got my Keurig the first kcup sent me into the stratosphere, felt like I was on meth and steroids. Like the equivalent of one kcup is prob like 8-10 rounded teaspoons of grinds in a traditional coffee machine. Which is a lot.
my mom has huge mugs she likes to use. Always complaining of weak coffee no matter the brand. I did a TED talk with her and my sister about what a cup is and what a pod expects a cup to be. No acceptance. lol When you know it all, you don’t get to know any more.
Looking for some help please. I've watched every video that i could find and did EVERYTHING suggested... My problem is the unit turns on i hit a setting water comes out for about 5 seconds, and machine turns off water dispensed is also cold not hot. Any suggestions? Please and thank you. (Mine is a keurig mini express)
New one is 5 needle for more flavor by far. As far as cleaning that id hope people could think of that on there own its a no brainer. Paper clip works better.
Got a duo. Had it for a month maybe two and it has made weak coffee since we got it. Using reusable k cup and have to use 2 full cups on 6oz to get a weak cup of coffee
K150 model DO NOT BUY i owned about 3 and all of them broke right after about 1.5 years. For commercial model using 2 cups a day for this long is not commercial. NOW it brews fine and sometimes not at all frustrated when you spend 300 for a machine that should for years not 1.5 years and die. DONE WITH KEURIG. Got myself a breville espresso yea takes a bit time but hey way better coffee.
The cheap Amazon kcups are watery. But don't be fooled I think they add caffeine to them.. which is deceptive and gross if you think about it, using little amounts of coffee to be cheap but spiking it so it seems authentic and the customer is happy. Like a cocktail of garbage that gets you buzzed and they call it coffee.
Hi. I bought a K cup slim one month ago, now the add water light keeps on (I have to unplug it and plug it to solve this issue) have you faced that issue? And how to solve it when you faced it? Thanks.
I came here thinking my keruig was clogged I did what you did in your video with the toothpick before I even came here... Turns out it's the k cups I got that were tasting watery I bought a new pack and they taste much less watery. So must of been a producing error when making the kcups in the factory.
No it’s weak straight out of the box. I cannot comprehend how keurig is so great and popular and expensive!!! Basically I have to brew two cups of coffee back to back using 2 k cups. Nice marketing scamscrategy keurig. 😡 what a pos coffe maker. Never again
