Good that you point that out. Schools never mention this and it is often not easy to find a good dancefloor for single usage.

Worth of mention is additional regular daily morning 15-30 min gymnastic drill to keep muscle joints in good shape :) This point is largely underestimated:) My BRDS

My biggest problem is balance. I cannot move slowly like you are on the walking exercise. Ankle shifts frequently.

Pour conserver l'équilibre, la solution pour moi est de garder la hanche du pied libre en bas. Il faut absolument que la hanche qui bouge reste plus basse que la jambe du pied d'appuis. Pour ce faire, la demande des professeurs de tango de poser le pouce du pied au sol est juste, parce qu'elle oblige à baisser la hanche libre, et donc le corps tout entier est en équilibre.

Check your hip alignment, 99% of problems that make you lose your balance while moving come from this reason. There are a lot of video talking about this topic on RU-vid

Practice balance during your daily chores! Stand on one leg to brush your teeth, shampoo your hair, tie your shoes etc. Experiment with closing your eyes as well to really condition your sensory/somatic feeling of balance and not just your visual. When this gets easy, try getting a balance board. Hope this helps!
