True but our limestone is the best you can get. That's why every state capitol building used hoosier limestone. I only know this because I went to the state museum.
@@lucaskincanyon7393 I'm in Carmel not meth lab I'm aware of has been found here. Marijuana is the number one drug that is in every city in all of United states. Don't tell me the whitest neighborhood's all across Indiana and America don't have Marijuana in them, if a city is open to the public, the most popular and known drugs have been in the city atleast once. And meth, is no wear near used as found as marijuana. Meth labs alone are rare, you may only hear up 10 to 20 meth lab busts a year that's a small fraction compared to marijuana busts. By far marijuana is the most popular drug out and most well known.
I live in In the Indianapolis area. Most of the places listed in this video the homes are overpriced along with everything else and because the towns attracts well off families there is crime and drugs. That no one wants to talk about. I don’t suggest moving to any of these places in less you want high property tax, over crowed school, and crowded neighborhoods that will be nothing but rentals in less than ten years.
Like my mom has dug me and my sister into bad neighborhoods on the east west and south of Indiana, even at one place I woke up to gunshots. Also a person purposely killed my kitten that would perch on my shoulder like a bird and sleep in my shirt.
Purdue '55 here. I enjoyed my stay here in West Lafayette even though I am from beautiful Hawaii. Gene Cernan and Neil Armstrong along with myself all left after graduation to pursue our profession. We did ended up together on the Apollo Program for a few years.
I am from north Indiana and my favorite place is north Manchester you cam buy a three floor house with a basement and a forth acre of land for very cheap you can go to warvel park and sit down go downtown for lunch go shopping in new market go canoeing with your friends great schools and quietly go to sleep.
Apparently you haven't seen the small town of Jasonville. Given it has a few empty houses but it is a very clean town. There is very few trashed lots in Jasonville. To find one you will have to look hard.
I'm from Memphis and I've living in Evansville for bout 2 years cheap rent and jobs,NO GOOD BBQ,JOOK JOINTS OR BLUES!!!!but If you get ya money and mind ya bizness not a bad little town BORING but cool
I live in Jasonville( 45 minutes South of Terre Haute) and I can leave a diamond ring on my porch and it will still be in the same spot a month later. I rarely hear of a robbery, drug bust or anything in this town. It is also one of the quietest towns I been/lived in. Clean too
Proud to have grown up in Columbus. Making plans to live there again. It's always had it's issues but it has more positives than negatives, and it has a personality that no other town I've been to has. Much of that personality is thanks to all the contributions J.I. Miller made to better the town.
And if you don’t know who that is then I will tell you. He was a Frenchman who greatly helped in the Revolutionary War between the colonies and Great Britain. He persuaded the French to send over supplies and boats to help the continental army defeat the British troops.
I grew up in Terre Haute. I wonder why it didn't make the list. ha! ha! surprised Bloomington didn't make the list nor Nashville. Indiana really does have a great state parks system. The one good thing I can say about Terre Haute is that the parks in the city are excellent.
Actually some of the best places to live in Indy... are in the COUNTRY! We have some of the lowest crime rates and its so peaceful. You dont have to worry about getting picked up of the side of the road. Plus houses are waaay cheaper, and we have some pretty good schools, at least where im from.
I was also born and raised in Fort Wayne it's a very beautiful city everyone here is really nice and Fort Wayne is known as "the best city for minor league sports" lots of NFL players come from here as well the city is home to one of America's oldest hockey teams Fort Wayne is a very family friendly, really quiet city that sure loves country music
Hi can i ask you about fort Wayne because i am going to move from Egypt to usa but looking for good city and not expensive -- and ask about school for my kids -- thank you
@@alaswany9681 I live in Fort Wayne and it's ranked No.1 for lowest cost of living in the nation it's quite a beautiful and quiet city to live in we have a hockey team here they are one of the oldest teams in hockey history and in sports we also have a minor league baseball team called the Tincaps the stadium is ranked No.1 for ballpark experience in the country the Mad Ants are our basketball team (minor league of course) Fort Wayne is older than Indianapolis Fort Wayne is only 225 years old and Indy 199 another thing about Fort Wayne is that it's the 2nd biggest in the state and every year, the president comes town at the Allen County war memorial coliseum which is on the north side of town Fort Wayne even has a gorgeous zoo and loads of NFL football players are born here one of the actresses on the hit TV show "The Office", Jenna Fischer was born here and that's all I have to say about Fort Wayne for more info you can go on RU-vid and/or Google and look up VisitFortWayne (visitors center) and I'm 100% sure they'll show you more stuff about the city and the best places to live around town
@@alaswany9681 almost forgot to mention that downtown is actually walkable and there's usually at least some people on the sidewalks just enjoying the weather
Thanks Jason for your help i was watching you tube about Indiana and many people talk about this nice city .. its hard to move withe kids from other country to USA and dont know any one or any thing about where you go spacial y when you have family -- sorry to ask you again--- how much to buy 2bdr house or rent it --what about transportation and job--- do you know any realstate broker there ? thank you Jason for help
Now y’all know y’all lying. There isn’t NO JOBS in Fort Wayne. I live here, so you know I’m not lying. You will have to go to a city outside of Fort Wayne to get a job. Do not move here
Dude I’m from and currently live here. No it’s not safe for no one. I know what the fuck I’m talking about. You’re obviously white. More than likely you’re privileged. So miss me with that bullshit
I live in Indiana. It ain't cheap at least where I am. I mean $800 for a efficiency or one bedroom plus utilities is ridiculous especially when I know a lot of people that can't afford that. Its over 50% of our household income without utilities and then trying to pay bills on top of that is impossible. We are a one income household because I can't work due to a ton of health issues. But my husband works full time. Houses around here average $350,000 to $550,000
we need someone that lives in indiana to do this because sure indianapolis is pretty cool but another reason indiana is well known besides Lucas oil stadium is that indianapolis holds the record for most homicides. but again it’s still a pretty cool place.
This is the most hilariously inaccurate account of my home state. Indianapolis is a terrifying place to live. Unless gunshots heard at all hours and heroin addicts passed out along the street have become ideal. Columbus has some of the rudest people on the planet. As for the Indianapolis suburbs of Fishers, Zionsville, and Carmel, crime in these city's have been on the rise as Indy's poison seeps further out of city limits. Whoever created this list needs to recheck their "facts".
Tessie Miller have you visited Indy recently? There’s plenty of neighborhoods that are safe to live in (I love just south of downtown). Like every Midwest city, there are areas that could use some more support, but there are definitely more good than bad. Before you say Indy is riddled with “heroin addicts passed out along the street” and “gunshots heads at all hours,” you should probably brush up on what it means to ACTUALLY live here.
@@mollykuenzli7634 it's been less than a year since I last lived there. The occasional safe neighborhood, is rare. Even in Fountain Square and Broad Ripple, both thought to be some of the safest areas of the city, have had their share of shootings. It would take a lot more than a small neighborhood here and there to change my mind about Indy.
I think indianapolis is a great place to live becuase i live here sence i was born the best place is the downtown and they have some great elementary schools.
Broadripple. It’s not quite a bubble and the houses hold their value. You have gotta be joking with Carmel. It’s a pretty coat of paint on a car with no engine. There is no diversity and it’s stiff.
Mia Frankenfield I lived in Broadripple for over 30 years. I also lived in New Palestine, Fairland, Carmel, Southport and in the ghetto on 38th and Sherman.
Come on people, for the most part a city or a state is what you make it. If you have a bad experience is bad, if you have a good one it's good! I love Indiana, it's home! I was born in Muncie, grew up in Indianapolis and lived in Anderson for 15 years. I've had good times and bad times but I don't care where you live on this planet if you stay there long enough you going to have some of those. When I grew up in Indianapolis I didn't live too far from crown Hill cemetery, some people don't know John Dillinger is buried there, I've been here in Alabama for 30 years but I always go back and visit Indianapolis when I can all my brothers and sisters are there!
As a kid I resented being born in indiana because it had nothing going for it, now as an adult I realize that indiana is my proud home whether or not it was boring.
I live in fort Wayne only been here about 3 months dont get out much so maybe you're right but I havent seen anything to bad really and i was raised in the hood most my life lol
