Duellist's Prerogative actually does NOT allow the bonus-action attack if you're using a shield. If you want a consistent BA attack while using a shield, you need Belm. This is also noted in the wiki.
To be fair, pretty much everything else in the game that requires only a one-handed (non-versatile) weapon _does_ allow for you to have a shield in your off-hand, so it'd be easy to assume the same for Duellist's Prerogative if you missed the note in the wiki. I always think of it like a DM who lets you get away with fun stuff for common weapons, but has stringent rules around legendary weapons.
Man the way you talk about this game and the build potential in all of your spell and item tier lists makes me really want to see some gameplay from all of these cool strats.
I've recorded my full golden dice run where I completed the entire run with only seven long rests. I will post the full run and am currently making a video to explain the builds I used and breakdown some boss fights. Hopefully that will give you an idea of how I play.

Markoheshkir is actually obtainable before the boss fight. You do have to speak with him, but you don't have to fight him immediately. After the dialouge you can go wherever you'd like in the area and pick up the staff or other items.
deception - " is dead. i killed her". He runs off to cry ("ruminate")...then you have free reign of the place.... I didn't need boss' gear, so he's still "ruminating" his eyes out...
You don't even have to speak to Lorokhan to raid the vault. You just pick the locked door to the left of the blue portal and go in the back door. Like a true "back door bandito." 🤣
True Strike Riposte is effectively a riposte that gives you advantage when it connects, it doesn't give extra bonus damage from something like superiority die. It costs a reaction just like riposte, but doesn't cost anything else. If you have Bhaalist's armor you effectively get a riposte that does double damage through Aura of Murder and then use the advantage to do something like sneak attack...which typically doesn't matter when you almost always kill the thing you riposted. When Crimson Mischief is in the mainhand, you get 7 extra piercing damage when attacking with advantage, plus an extra 1d4 on enemies with less than 50% HP. With the advantage off of a true strike riposte, you add more than a 2d6 onto a sneak attack that gets double damage from aura of murder. The combination of two weapons absolutely slays. I've ended a comedic number of fights because something stupid enough attacked Astarion and he one-shot them with TSR. It's the only time True Strike is worth it, because you don't even have to actively cast it.

The duellist's prerogative is a really interesting weapon, I'd say a battle master fighter/college of swords bard multiclass would be good through the combination of riposte and defensive flourish and having 2 reactions, the bonus action attack also allows you to still be able to attack 3 times in a turn without the fighters improved extra attack allowing for multiclassing, 6 or 7 fighter levels for the extra feat at lvl 6 or extra battlemaster dice and manoeuvres at lvl 7, 5 levels in bard will let you restore bardic inspiration on short rests for the flourishes and give you access to 3rd lvl spells, by focusing more on ac you basically become a tank capable of dealing damage and supporting the party or ccing enemies with bard spells(which works really well with the band of the mystic scoundrel and the arcane acuity helmet). You could also go 1 lvl in wizard instead of 7 fighter for the scroll scribing and spells like shield, haste and the like which up your versatility. The two counterspells is a thing. I built a dual wielder bardadin but this looked so good I had to try it. Went into House of Grief without another wizard/sorcerer/warlock and since I couldn’t run around and smite people, being able to counterspell 2 attempts at enemy darkness was huge.
I am playing Wyll as a 10 Lore Bard/1 Fighter/1 Wiz with Duelist's Prerogative and Fire Accuity. It's nice to be able to use cutting words every turn and still have a reaction to Counterspell, and having a rapier and no shield just fits Wyll so well :). The bonus action attack comes in handy, especially with Eldrich Blast from Magical Secrets + Ring of Arcane Synergy.
I thought of a crit fishing build some time ago, never tried it, but here goes maybe one you good people will. It revolves around Astarion taking 4 lvls Assassin Rogue, 3 lvls Gloom Stalker Ranger and 5 lvls Champion fighter, giving him Bloodthirst, Under mountain King, Killer's Sweetheart, Risky Ring, Surgeon's and Dead Shot along with Sarevok's helm and the Shade Slayer Cloak so you can crit on 14s. Give him Alert and Sharpshooter, make his fighting style Archery and you can get some pretty fat attacks early in fights from afar while keeping Astarion fairly safe. He will always have advantage because of the Risky Ring, he can paralyse once per long rest because of the amulet and gets two guaranteed crits because of Killer's Sweet heart and Luck of the Far Realms. I am still a bit unsure on armour pieces, but whatever helps with ranged dmg, stealth or crit dmg should do.
@@toddparker514 If you decide to become Bhaal's Unholy Assassin you get access to a vendor that sells you a chest piece that gives you Aura of Murder, making everyone around you vulnerable to Piercing Damage, on top of some gloves that make your crits do additional force damage. Put those two items on top of what I already detailed above and the build is complete. (I did not find any boots that directly help this build, so I just defaulted to giving Astarion Nere's boots, which are some of the best in the game in my opinion. Nothing that directly aids the crit playstyle, but y'know) If you really wanted to take it next level you could also fully upgrade Astarion's Ilithid Skill Tree to get him to proc Cull the Weak when the enemy has like 20 health left, while also making him The Vampire Ascendant, adding an extra 1d10 necrotic to all his attacks. The Risky Ring makes it so he still gets like 90+ chance to hit ranged attacks even in melee range with the Deadshot, which will pay dividends if you have the Aura of Murder activated, doubling your damage. Add a Viciousness pot to increase crit chance with a buff from the Mirror of Loss to your Dex and you will be golden. Also since your Dex will be this high, maybe do not take Alert, but smth else, like a half-feat increasing your Dex by 1 if you need it, Sharpshooter is great tho. Yuanti armour is good, but you do not really need the armour class for this build, it is a very offensive, glass cannon type of thing, I noticed in my last playthrough where I properly tried it, Astarion barely got attacked cause he just killed whatever target posed a threat very quickly. And this was in Honour mode.
That rapier gives you an extra reaction. A swords bard at 10th level can get counterspell. Turn off the reaction on the weapon and just use your two reactions for counterspell. Fun.
I believe that tier list videos do really well with the RU-vid algorithm, whether it’s related to BG3 or any other possible topic like food, memes, sorting algorithms, etc.
Dueller's Perogative, in my opinion, is most suited for a certain monk builds. By leaving your off-hand empty, it allows a monk a lot of flexibility around damage and attack types. I think there might be better uses for a monk's main hand on some OP builds, but I found it to work nicely for the little time you get it before the end of the game.
Zephyr flash on the Nyrulna was able to multi hit the dragon (perhaps it has multiple hitboxes?) and I had used channel divinity on my tempest cleric. The dragon went from half HP to dead from taking multiple instances of max damage. I do not assume this was intended, but it felt like the Borderlands 2 skill B0re.
I don't think its good. In terms of damage its worse than Deadshot. Mostly what it offers is Haste, and that isn't special at this point of the game. I've never noticed its lethargic free, because I practically never drop concentration in Act 3.
@@Aestus_RPGThe dead shot doesn’t really do any noticeably more damage minus the extra crits. I open up with Mael bolt ability and that makes you do an additional 1d4 radiant damage on attacks. You can stack it with divine favor which does the same thing so 2d4. Using on a bard with slashing flourish you get an extra 1d8 to attack plus 2d4 radiant for each arrow and it’s two per flourish.. thing shreds
If you do laezel’s quest you can trade with voss while he’s in sharess’ caress and youre at a dialogue option or pickpocket him or if you accept raphael’s deal, and you can get a +2 longsword with a 1d4 psychic damage addon, a wrathful smite per long rest, and an additional 1d4 damage to creatures from other planes, specifically githyanki, aberrations (mind flayers and spectators, for example), fiends, and elementals. So basically, every big enemy group in act 3. And you can get it in wyrms crossing, provided you dont let voss leave. The only other major group ALSO has a +2 longsword dedicated to doing extra damage to them, the shapeshifting bhaalists, all those doppelgangers and orin take extra damage from the sword of the emperor, which, if youve played prior games and read the description, is actually the original sword of balduran. The whole basement side moment is insane foreshadowing. So if longswords are your thing, these two are worth noting, as well as the blackguard’s sword which boosts smites by giving a chance to daze the victim as well as extra necrotic damage, perfect for an oathbreaker durge imo.
Duelist's Prerogative sounds like it's intended to be used with the Defensive Duelist feat where you can use your reaction to add your proficiency to your AC just like the shield spell.
when they were a little easier to get, i did a full party of dual wielding Deva Maces - just silly, weird and things die fast. It's not finesse, so just have to have everyone be str based.
you can get copies of deva maces. dual wielding them as a 11lvl pally orc with 1 lvl of fighter for that sweet two weapon fighting , or just 12 pally using the dual wield gloves, sounds good.
i’ve put the dead shot with a spell sniper fire acuity wizards and when you upcast scorching ray, you can expect at least 1 or 2 crits it’s pretty great
I am currently on a BG3 break and doing my WOTR Lich run but the BG3 run I am pausing from is a cold/frost caster.... Markoheshkir is invaluable for it.
I think duelists prerogative is essentially putting the swashbuckler rogue subclass into the game, and because of that I think it is meant to be used similarly. That would just be the have so much movement you force enemies to dash instead of attack, and have disadvantage on attacking your Allies if they try.
Duellists prerogative probably works on a lot of builds, but in my opinion it is the lore bards best weapon simply because of the two reactions a turn. To have two of the best reactions in the game (Cutting Words + Counterspell) available twice a turn is extremely debilitating for enemies. Most enemies, including end game bosses, can’t withstand spells with their saving throws if they are taking the 1d10 penalty from cutting words, and lore bards with that weapon get those twice a turn.
Fun fact, if you’re a bard/sorcerer multi class you don’t have to pickpocket the genie to win. Via dialogue, you can call him out for cheating (sorcerer), he’ll say you can’t prove it and offer you another spin, then you can distract him on the next spin (bard) to win.
Should note that Silver Sword of the Astral Plane is by far the best melee weapon for a Githyanki. I can see leaving it off this list because it's only good if you are a Githyanki, but it's easily better than both Sword of Chaos and Balduran's in a Githyanki's hands.
I don't think its that good. Its problem is its a mostly defensive weapon that is a primarily offensive weapon type, which gives it a kind of tension. I honestly prefer Giantslayer, even on my gith builds.
@@Aestus_RPG You could say the same for Sword of Chaos, except Silver Sword is a +3 as opposed to a +2, so it's better on offense just from that. Fewer things resist or nullify psychic damage (from a Gith) than necrotic. And advantage on mental stats (again for a Gith) is better than healing on hits since the former can keep you from being disabled while the latter just offsets damage. CC effects are a bigger threat than damage in Act 3. The Silver Sword's per short-rest stun is also really good and lasts 2 rounds, as opposed to the Balduran's prone attack which is limited on what it prones anyway.
@@tiradegrandmarshal Yes, Sword of Chaos is also mostly defensive, but its more valuable defensively if you build around it and its also much easier to get. SIlver Sword IS better on Githyanki once you get it. The stun attack is really nice, no doubt. To be honest though, I've had runs where I don't even swap out Soulbreaker Greatsword for SIlver Sword, because I value the the initiative more than the saving throws.
Life essence from The Staff of Cherished Necromancy can also be gained from killing inanimate objects. I like to keep a couple cups and other small items in my bag to gain stacks easily when I’m out adventuring. Arcane acuity works the same way which is how I justify the cheese.
I ran the Blightbringer for a while on my Astarion Gloomstalker Assassin on my Honour run. It was fantastic, and I combined it with a bunch of improved crit gear (I also specced him as 5 ranger, 4 rogue, 3 champion fighter) for the improved crit there. I ended up swapping it out for the Deadshot eventually though because even though it was casting slow across entire parties on surprised rounds, I simply prioritise frontloaded damage too much, and Astarion was hitting for 300 damage a turn by the end of the game with the Dead Shot.
@@ironbar2009 Here's the set up, definitely not optimal but he definitely hard carried more than 75% of the game for me. Would have felt comfortable soloing with him. Helm: Covert Cowl (+1 crit chance while obscured) Chest: Armor of Agility Gloves: Craterflesh Gloves (1d4 force damage on crit) Boots: Speedy Lightfeet Rings: Smugglers Ring + Risky Ring Necklace: Surgeons Amulet (Para on crit once per long rest) Cloak: Shade-Slayer Cloak (+1 to crit while hiding) Melee: Knife of the Undermountain King (+1 to crit, reroll a 2) Crimson Mischief (this was mainly for the +7 piercing damage on advantage, I never actually checked to see if it worked as a statstick for bows but if it did then this is insane with the risky ring/deadshot set up) Then like I said I was using the deadshot as the weapon for the build as that reduces the crit chance to critting on a 15, which with advantage from risky ring is just insane. The blightbringer has massive synergy with it, you can inflict slow on a full enemy team if you start with surprised, and can selectively choose to slow or paralyse major targets with a quick dip into Luck of the Far Realms for a guaranteed crit. I ended up valuing the deadshot more because I'm a Divinity player at heart and in that series damage, and specifically frontloaded damage, trumps every other strategy. Can't shake those habits lmao. Just for completions sake my levelling setup was 5 gloomstalker ranger for extra attack, 4 assassin rogue because I value the extra feat super highly and 3 champion for the +1 to crit again. Feat choice is alert + sharpshooter.
38:26 regarding getting the Deva to spawn and attack, you don’t need to use a character that worships a specific god. You can pray/donate money to any of the statues you want, so just pick one that results in the Deva spawning after you rob the church. At least that’s the way it worked for my tav, though he was a barb and so had not preselected any specific god to worship as part of character creation. Not 100% sure if it still allows you to pray to any god if you did already designate a god you worship, but I believe only clerics do that as part of character creation
Have they patched that out? I've never been able to get the Deva to drop its weapon. I kill the Deva and it stays a corpse even after a long rest (with nothing on it).
@@ShermTank7272 I just obtained it fairly recently, maybe two weeks ago at most. It sounds like your game might be bugged if the body is not even disappearing after long rest. Though the mace appearing there after the body disappears is also most likely a bug, so 🤷♂️
@@ShermTank7272 I used this exploit last week to harvest a bunch of Deva Maces and Djinni Scimitars. I had to drag the bodies back to camp to get the weapons. It's possible leaving them in the basement where the chests are may prevent despawning on long rest.
@ShermTank7272 as of patch 5 hotfix 15, you could: 1. Kill Deva in basement 2. Pick up corpse with strong character 3. Open that characters inventory, search "Deva" (it's invisible otherwise and you can't look it up by clicking your weapon slot anymore). Not sure if it still works since I think there has been a few additional hot fixes but worth a try.
Deva mace is insane. I was using the orphic hammer and was pretty happy with it, but now I have the deva mace and I think my average hit damage is like 15 points higher lol
For Blightbringer, I suppose there's a Bhaal aspirant that you'll be fighting, and... maybe you end up fighting the Ironhands? Yeah it confused me too.
Markoheshkir is a top top priority for my storm sorc whenever we get to the lower city. Someone else already mentioned, but you dont have to do the fight itself to acquire the item, you can save it for later. That said, for my storm sorc I use the thunder version or the lightning version, the lightning version gives you free casts of Chain lightning and Lightning bolt. With that setup, and the staff passive, you can cast 5 events of chain lightning per long rest without a scroll. Twinning with a sorc is also broken. The other version i used more recently was thw thunder version, which is the only way to get Destructive wave, the thunder/radiant AOE spell only available to Tempest Clerics. No matter your choice, this staff makes the rest of the game a wine tasting party for your caster of choice, absolutely broken.
Since you included the devas mace: You can get the Flail of the Vortex from air myrmidons very easily. You need to destroy something in the city, the myrmidon will get arrested, sent to prison, and just as for characters, the weapon will be in the chest in front. The Flail of the Vortex has a weapon action, that you can do once per turn, that has a guaranteed stun!
I’ve used the Everburn Blade the whole game on my tiefling oath of Vengeance Paladin only swapping it out to a the moon glave against Raphael because my build was built around burning the fuck out of enemies and he’s fire proof so I needed radiant damage and that whooped his ass. Even fighting Cazador by casting daylight on it and i put him in the coffin in 1 round by having Tav and Karlach who I changed into a fighter cause having my tav, karlach, and Lae-zel all with multiple attacks and with weapons that stack a damage type ends most encounters fast and for the 4th spot I like having Astarion who I make a Fighter/Theif cause having him get 2 attacks and 2 off hand attacks is plus action surge is amazing cause that’s 6 attacks on top of Karlach and lae-zel with their 6 attacks and my Tav with 2 SMITE attacks I tear through encounters pretty easily
Yes, Bloodthirst + Helldusk Armor + Cloak of Displacement is insane in a dual wield class. You just need to literally throw the character at the enemies and grab some popcorn.
Surprised to not see Gontr Mael on this list. Celestial Haste is amazing since you can't even go Lethargic after it. And at-will Guiding Bolt is insane, especially if you use literally any special arrow with an AoE effect (or, of course, Many Targets).
It just loses to Deadshot for accuracy/crit and Titansring for damage. The guiding bolt has to go through enemy saves and risky ring exists. The haste can be easily replaced by potions, they last shorter but fights hardly ever goes beyond 3 rounds anyway so the lethargy also doesn't matter. Radiant retort fucks with its bonus radiant damage. It's really just a +3 bow most of the time.
@@abednegokurio9244 Risky Ring just helps you. Guiding Bolt helps an ally who attacks after you. Inflicting it as an AoE (special arrows, Volley, ranged Flourish) is even better. It also works with Diadem of Arcane Synergy, so it can keep up with damage in that regard if your spellcasting stat is good.
Staff of Cherished Necromamcy is even more bugged than that. It counts a "kill" as anything with an HP bar, so you can get Life Essence by destroying barrels or chairs etc.
I actually really like the Acid Markoheshkir for Hunger of Hadar. There are a lot of act 3 fights where a single cast of this can nullify a room - especially if you can knock people into it or drop other persistent AOE on top.
Nyruna is awesome. I had it on Laz’hel with radiant boosts and just throwing it a couple times would do huge aoe damage and also single target with triple attack. She carried my whole run
The Deva Mace is still obtainable another way! If you summon a Deva and get imprisoned, the guards will stash away all weapons - including the mace - and you can simply loot it from the weapon / evidence box once you escape.
Challenge to Duel only triggers bleed if the target attacks someone else besides the character using Duellist's Prerogative, not automatically. Its to incentivise the target to fight that character instead of attacking the squishies.
The way to get 2 deva's mace (or even more) is to long rest to remove the curse instead of casting Remove Curse. Removing this way causes 2 Devas to spawn per curse removed (works with both long rest or the potion). You can also multiply this by applying the Castigated by Divinity on multiple characters, making 2 Devas spawn for up to every member of your camp, including hirelings. It is a great way to instantly crash your game lmao
Nyrullna on my 22 Strength, drow lady potion, sorry Astarion, Karlach Berserker Throw Build is nuckin futs, although be careful because i accidentally killed a lot of innocent bystanders with that thunder damage
*Unfortunatly patched now* there is a glitch used to get other summon weapons to, you can get dryad staff, fire myrm's scimitar air myrm's flail and water myrm's trident think you can get deva mace the same way to 1. summon the myrm or dryad etc in an area you can go to prison 2. seperate the summon from your party and have them smash random things 3. they'll get the guard dialouge send them to prison 4.pick up the weapon from the evidence chest i got sylvan crook for my druid save doing this lol, it has entangle on hit just posted it incase anyone wants to play about with it, i didn't create the method but there are videos about it on youtube

I have not tested it yet, but I think the dwarven thrower might take the slot of best thrown weapon? At least for single target damage on a throw build. It's probably close though and there are advantages to each.
@@Ajatus11 Yeah I'm definitely aware of the Bhaalist armor, I used that with this spear in a run for sure. Personally, I don't think I'll ever use it again because it trivialized the game too much lol, but in that cause any piercing weapon will always win out. One interesting thing about the Dwarven thrower is that it does have more weight for crushing damage when thrown from height too.
@@croket07The thing with the dwarven thrower too is that in order for it to actually be good you have to be, well, a dwarf. And since there are no dwarf companions, unless your Tav happens to be a dwarf it’s a pretty average weapon.

I'm in the middle of a Drow Wizard playthrough with my eyes on the Duelist Prerogative, but was thinking of going Enchantment Wizard for the two free reaction charms attempts. Abjuration Wizard sounds like an even more surefire way to get value out of reactions and the Compelled Duel ability tho, ty 🙏
the duelist rapier is great on a warlock rogue combo. I particularly like it on ascended astarian. between his bites, and the illithid powers he gets a lot of use out of the bonus actions can attack 3times per turn with this weapon and if you give him the right gear he gets a lot of bonuses from arcane synergy.
The bow you get for defeating the boss inside the foundry is the best bow in the game. It's a +3 with a built in haste that doesn't make you lethargic when it runs out. I always get that for my main archer and if they have the sharpshooter feat then they become death incarnate lol.

@@loonyman83 By the time you get Gontr Mael, you already have plenty of sources of Haste, and it being lethargic free isn't really much of a selling point since losing concentration is so rare in Act 3. Its giving something you don't need because you already have it.
I recently got the deva mace a totally different way. The character that has the deva summoned got arrested, and while I was sneaking out, I found the mace in the chest that stored the rest if my gear. I don't know if it got patched out, but this did happen in my last honor playthrough so it would have to be a recent patch.
What about the devotee mace you can get from the house of hope by using hope's once per run divine intervention to make it then disarm her. I've been using it since I got it. Mainly because of its radiant buffs
Super nerd chiming in at the Nyrulna part of your video: If your cleric has the items gloves of belligerent skies, ring of spiteful thunder, the coruscation ring, luminous armor, boots of stormy clamour, cacophony, the safe guard shield or Swires’ Sledboard or ketheric or viconias shields (I tend to give them the cape of protection, but I can understand why people would choose maybe the cloak of displacement or flesh melter) TLDR swap out cacophony with nyrulna. Either way, you’re doing crazy amounts of debuff and damage. Max out movement speed, activate spirit guardians, walk past every enemy on the battlefield. Ring of mental fatigue isn’t too bad either. Extra conditions on enemies almost makes it feel like bullying. Couple levels paladin to grab smiting and dueling fighting style.
I haven't tried the thunder hat and didn't even know about the trident, but for what it's worth, I tried the hat of fire acuity along with a fireball, and despite hitting 3 targets with my fireball it only counted as one instance of damage as far as the acuity goes.
I was rocking Myrulnah on my gwm fighter but ended up giving it to my bear totem, open hand Karlach cause she deals +2 acid +1d4 fire +rage +tavern brawler when thrown and can follow it up with a flurry of blows that deal extra necrotic 😎 now to find a sick sword for my fighter (hes geralt-esque and is currently using the +1d4 to shape changers sword for a certain someone)
The staff of cherished necromancy also grants life essence from destroying inanimate objects. The makes it hard to walk by corpses because why not just create 3 ghouls?
You were right, I was looking forward to this one. Also sad there was no Rhapsody for Scarlet Remittance but compared to arcane acuity plus 3 to save dcs isn't that great
True Strike Riposte sounds good until you remember True Strike requires concentration. You're probably not concentrating on anything major with a dagger wielder but I've lost concentration on my ranger with it.
For the Staff of Cherished Necromancy the creature doesn't have to be hostile. I was killing citizens with magic missle after every long rest to charge the staff.
Regarding Balduran's giantslayer (I guess you knew this but just didn't mention): You don't have to complete Wyll's quest or even have him in your party, if you know where the boss is you can go there whenever. Although as you said the boss is hard, I wouldn't go there at the start of the act on honor mode XD
Well, unless they changed it in one of the patches, you can technically start the conversation with 1(preferably invisible) character, switch to another, loot the sword of the still 'dead' boss, leave, finish the conversation and leave again for a free sword

Ive thought about doing a battle master build with duelist perogative. Using the goading attack to force eneimes to attack my character and try to get riposte to trigger twice per turn. Figured armor of agility and the cloak of displacement should generate a lot of missed attacks.
If it's any help, I've used the Blightbringer. It's quite nuts. Needs to go on a crit-fishing archer instead of a CC Acuity-type archer (haven't had a run where both were the same character yet), but just slowing one to tow targets a turn is pretty powerful.
I got three deva mace b stealing things in the tabernacle with three different characters, once i undo the curse arrive 3 deva, withc turn in a quite hard fight as i was not expecting it... but is possible
Yeah, I didn't either. I wanted to see how the economy works if you never steal and I ended up missing Nyrulna and Band of the Mystic Scoundrel for it...
You don’t have to pickpocket to get it. My bard was able to accuse him without taking his ring, and I had another character that just bought the ring off him during conversation, although I don’t know whether that’s been patched out because I haven’t done it in awhile.
Is there a way to equip a throwable along with a sword and shield? I equipped Shart with Viconia’s armaments but I still want to use Shar’s spear, especially since I spec-ed Shart for exclusive melee.
I find the bonus action attack from duellist's prerogative to be unavailable when using a shield. I assume the bonus crit chance is also disabled. Is this a bug?
The bonus to crit chance only works if your off-hand is free, so it won't work with a shield. My understanding is that the bonus action attack works even when you have something in the off-hand. I tested with a dagger, not a shield, and it worked, but it was a while ago. Maybe its been patched.
How is blightbringer on this list and not Goenter Mael? There’s at least 5 bows or crossbows I can think of that are better than blightbringer. Harold is better and you can get in early act 1
